The charm of season one could never be duplicated. From the struggle to fit in, and to the realization you no longer were the the same person and could never go back.

@@adaswedentr No. By season two, they had formed their new ties and there was no longer any talk about Minnesota or being homesick anymore. They found their group and the whole "I'm new to the area" theme had worn off, but season two was good in its own right.

@@Hannari-xt6nryeah but Jim actually cared about his family’s happiness. Your attitude is rather selfish that you would take a job and not think about your family’s feelings at all.

I can relate to this somewhat. My family moved from Hawaii to Ohio. Now that was a culture shock for my sister and I; I was in junior high and my sister was in high school. When I was in high school, my Dad we may be moving back to Hawaii but it wasn’t for sure. We ended up not moving back as a family but I moved back to Hawaii with my husband (fiancé back then).

The Walshes moved from Minneapolis to Beverly Hills (LA) just like the Lakers did three decades prior and ended up staying......
