I have a 6505+ combo too (recently got it). The tone is heavy, but the amp is too. Holy smokes. Very big and heavy amp for a 1x12 combo. I love it too.

@raytorvalds3699 Unfortunately. I agree. It's very heavy, but I love the tone. The amp is solid constructed. Very well, you just need a buddy to help you get it in the bar or whatever place you're playing at. I just recently just bought a evh iconic And comparing them the PV is heavier. I seem to be playing on the PV more than the E. V h. Lol

They're both. Theyre cheap. They can sound good for specific styles. They don't work for me, personally, though.

American peaveys are the best value for money around. 80’s peaveys are still cheap and still great. Personally, I wouldn’t mess around with Asian peaveys.

Mississippi Peaveys are indestructible. The solid state ones are used for outdoor gigs in the rain. Everybody had a Bandit-that's what is was for. Just use active pickups so you don't have to ground the strings, and you can play in a downpour, no problem. The tube amps are used for regular gigs, so you don't get a scratch your your Freidman, Mesa Boogie, Marshall, etc. Plus they have knobs on them that actually work, you don't have to use a caliper on them to get the same sound you had the gig before. And they are about 25% of the price. That's why they had to go-Hartley's grandson got paid millions to destroy the company.

@@cnilecnile6748 and boy did he… honestly though with what happened with overseas manufacturing peaveys model of cheap, good and American was doomed to eventually fail. The best they could have done was what fender and Gibson did and resort to heritage branding, but besides evh who did they even have to use for that? The best they could have possibly done was just keep doing what they did and raise prices to just be slightly less than the big two. Instead, they kept trying to “innovate” and cut corners on build quality. If I was given the head of peavey… I’d just go on the used market look at what sells and for how much and see if I could make new versions of those for a good price. I’d buy a brand new peavey bandit 65 for $300 or a brand new t-60 for $1000 if it was USA made the old way.
