👿🔱😈..have you ever heard of Tokai.. The hummingbird is a awesome looking guitar
Thanks for the comment. Indeed I been looking for a Tokai Love Rock ( LP copy ) MIJ for a while. Hopefully I can get one soon.
😈🔱👿... LETS KEEP GRECOS ARE LITTLE SECRET.☺..Thank you sir for making a informative video about this brand... I have owned my 1969 greco for over 20 years and i lov her... I just dont know why anyone buys crazy priced gibsons or fenders that are made in china... Over priced junk..greco have so many unique designs and different style pickups.. and nothing made in Japan is junk
❤❤❤❤
Wow I can't believe the USB sounds so horrible.
nul,moi je prefere hb,et beaucoup moins cher.et je préfére les cordes inox
Love the channel name
Some thoughts: George Lynch was an early user of Randall, something many don't know. For those who doubt a solid state can have good tone, just listen to George's beautiful solos. Randall's main endorser, Dimebag Darrell, went to Krank (which was a trendy company for a time) then he passed away. He was the face of Randall/Dean/Washburn. Kirk Hammett's fairly recent endorsement is...I don't know why it exists. Metallica uses Fractal Axe FX III preamps and Matrix solid state power amps live. Unless Kirk just uses his Randalls in the studio, I don't know why he is associated with them. It has to be expensive for Randall and Kirk would get little out of it save a custom piece of gear he doesn't need. Metallica has millions of dollars of gear in the studio and doesn't need endorsements. Even if they did still use tube amps, everyone knows Metallica is going to use their Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier type sound blended with a Mesa Mark and maybe a boutique amp like a Diezel, Bogner, or Engl. Randalls also aren't very versatile. I have a Randall Cyclone with 2x15 Warhead cab (the head right under the original Dimebag Warhead signature amp in the late 90s/early 00s lineup). Solid state Randall amps tend to make only one sound: mid scooped, heavily saturated metal. The Cyclone has nice features including a graphic and parametric EQ so you can really sculpt out those mids. It's also rugged, reliable, heavy (physically), and durable. But it is noisy due to all the distortion and requires a noise gate. Randall's tube heads have become Mesa Boogie Road King level of complexity. Good luck finding a tech to work on them. All of this new Randall tube head complexity comes at a time when modeling preamps like the Axe FX and Kemper produce more sounds more reliably than a complex tube head and so have partially made tubes obsolete--at least for live situations. *Most importantly, why would anyone choose a new Randall when they can buy a Mesa Dual Rectifier, Peavey 5150, or a boosted Marshall JCM800/900/DSL TSL 2000 on the used market? Lower priced tube alternatives like the Peavey XXX/Ultra are also good options.* *In short, Randall amps make one sound very well. You either like the sound or you don't. And there are better regarded alternative brands to get the same sound as well as other sounds Randalls don't do.* Randall's one advantage is their solid state models are most likely more reliable than highly sought after vintage late 80s/early 90s high gain tube heads. For those who want the simplicity of a tube head, the reliability of solid state, and a thick, tight, bright, crunchy, scooped tone, Randalls are a good choice. The old used RG100ES amps still sound good. Newer models like my Cyclone have the same basic overall tone but add more features.
Awesome🎸🔥🤘🏻
I own 7 crate amps
lol, the drums are there for a reason - you're supposed to play in time with them 😂
The latency on this plugin doesn't help.
nice video:) one question: is better dsl 1 or randall rd 5? thankyou
Hello this will be depending on what are you looking for. I think that if you are looking for the Classics Marshalls metal sound the way to go its the DSL1 it delivers the classic Marshall Sound. For something more modern I will go with the Randall. Now remember the Randall only have one channel and you need to boost both amplifiers if you want to play metal. Thanks for the comment.
@@solomonicdemons680 yes i already own randall and actually it sounds good only when bosted and with graphic eq. to hear in your video it sounds good also marshall...unfortunately it has only the 16ohm.....so i was considering a dsl20 or another randall rd 20 or 40w...I don't know at the moment. thanks😌
Love my G40C XL I rescued from being discarded.
These are good guitars the 450 w p90s and the other 450s are gold
I'm on the fence on this cab. Mainly because I dnt know if it will be loud enough. I own the stage right 15 watt amp and it also has a 12 inch speaker and it's just barely loud enough for the kinds of shows I play. I wonder if this cab with a tiny terror would be loud enough.
Question Is the stage right amp you own a tube amp also what is the wattage of the speaker on the cabinet?
I did not expect to like the usb so much better! 😮
Thank you for this video. I'm on the fence with Sam Ash. God bless them for staying in business for a full century. Their company and employees have worked hard to stay in business. For at least the 20 years, musical instruments sales have not been easy for any retailers. On the other hand, and please forgive me anyone out there, this is not meant to be mean. I bought exactly one guitar from then in the late 90's/early 2000's time period. Every other guitar I bought was from Guitar Center, online retailers. Too many stories to tell but the interactions at Sam Ash were just not pleasant. And they would rarely if ever budge on their Used gear prices. They couldn't be reasoned with. Big hassle for them.l get a guitar down from the wall when they had to get the ladder out.
Ive come to trust your reviews more than any other gear channel. Thanks for the honest insight. You've definitely helped me make a couple of hard decisions. Right now im trying to decided between this and the tempest for my MT-15.
Thank you so much brother really appreciate your comment.
My absolute favorite 4x12 has the G12k-85's (exact same as these) on top with V30's on bottom. Best speaker arrangement (to my ears) I've ever used and I've tried everything! Works for all types of music, not just metal. V30's on their own are not my favorite, but when mixed with these.. wow!
Its like the old ibz 550 but with a floyd. Better pickups too. More stable neck and roasted so its even better when weather changes. Im no longer a 550 chaser. These md24s are the best
Its a reliq
What's that video for? Ugly Truth? HB guitars are not bad for the money. So, where is the ugly truth?
I bought a gfx15 in the early 90s new for $100. About 10 years ago I bought a gfx212 and a Bx 100 bass amp for $100 each. Still have them but they don't get as much play as they used to.
harley benton guitars are great
Nice review! You are a great player as well.
What song are you playing at around 4:49 when you were previewing the pickup settings? It’s mesmerizing.
Hello thanks for the comment I wast just playing jamming on E minor. 😊
Fireeeeee
nice demo
Thanks
I got an open-box deal on a RD45h back in 2018 for $250 (I think they were normally around $599 or something). After covid, Randall started charging $1200 for the same amp and the prices for new haven't changed. The used ones are just now starting to come back to normal levels. But, you can't expect people to pay over twice the amount for an amp that just isn't worth that. It was a clear money play and it's bitten them in the ass.
Genial!
hello From France, thx for your video, I have the same guitar, I am happy with it wheter is is called ltd or esp ..
Thanks man, it’s Sunday morning at approx 7:40am and when I go visit my dad I’ll be calling into my local store to pick one of these up!!! Your playing is fantastic!!!
Thanks for the comment. Im glad you getting the line 6 pod. Take care lml.
u would of never thought the Ibanez would whoop the Chug...but it did for me...both pedals are great but on here... Ibanez won
both pedals at the same time was acually....sik
I own 9 Harley Bentons and all of them are awesome.
i WAS TOLD THE BEST ONES ARE MADE IN INDONESIA.
THAT was an AWESOME INTRO, Brother!! Well Done!!! LOVE THIS!!!
Thank you
Amazing tones! I subbed!
Thanks
One question about the pickups, are they icepicky? I want a warm, lead sound with the bridge pickup that sings well@@solomonicdemons680
@@incitatus634 hello again. Definitely the Bridge pickup is a little bit more treble compared to the neck pickup on this guitar. But it's warm enough to play leads with gain and it sounds very good on the cleans to. 98% of the time I will play in the bridge pickup with this guitar because Im a metal player. Now if you play blues jazz or something more pop definitely you need that neck pickup. Thanks for the comment.
Good video mate, was wondering if it would be good for heavy Doom or Sabbath type riffs. I have the Orange tiny terror but looking for something with a little more distortion more
Hello brother definitely I think this would the job if u're looking for a Marshall Doom sound
They should do a Kirk Windstein Signature Head with build in Metal Zone
The Blue Channel is where is at for me. Doesn't mean I don't like Red Channel...nice tone you have there
Thanks lml
They both sounded very alike
Good review, man. I mostly play Jacksons and strats, but I'd like a fixed bridge guitar and this looks ergonomic enough with the lighter body and 60s neck. Some say this sounds somewhere between a full body LP and an SG. I wish they had some darker "more metal" finishes though... I think Gibson is really trying not to offer cheaper guitars that look like their black Customs.
Thanks for the comment. I agree not fan of this colors. Hopefully they reissue more with different finishes
This dude is making an amazing amp sound like garbage Jesus he's terrible (and all I play is fast heavy stuff)
Shifting to chinese production and at the same time increased prices too much (Tube amp prices for Solid state is obviously too greedy). To bad, the amps are great 😢 Let's hope for a Randall brand revival in the future
Взял себе недавно старенького V2XM, мне нравится, правда иногда мучаюсь с эквалайзером, то верха, то середина на разной громкости
AWESOME!!!🌍💯
This is one of tbe few guerillas that I have liked. Is there anything that you didnt like?
Hello nothing wrong with the guitar. I like everything about it.
I saw this one pop on guitar center which is why I asked. Doesn't look like a bad buy unless something is wrong with it.
Crate makes the best solid-state metal amps in history even better than Ampeg whose legendary H140C lead distoriton was used for some Crate models, but their stock distortion as long as the solo distortion has the Midrange control for scooping is untouchable. *They produced the GX and a few other lines where you have a shape control, but no midrange! They sound horrid until you mod them and return that control to it, or you run a shelving EQ on the effects loop and deeply scoop the mids.* I have 2 all tube heads and 5 solid-state heads, and the solid-state are just so much easier to get good distortion out of than the valves and one is a high performance Carvin V3. *I also am a formally educated electrical/electronics engineer which is one of the most complex and difficult sciences on earth.* I love valves but they're overrated, and Crate solid-states are unjustly condemned.
Queen Lucy wont climb the cat tree, but she just showed us with her graceful move to the sink, she could, if the queen wanted to. 😉😁😸 Long Live the Queen. ❤
Sounds just like every distortion setup on the Very market right now
I got a RD1H a few weeks ago and I've been loving it. Got it for 200 Canadian.
