@@schmeahdaleah2596 There are banks that have coin counting and coin rolls for free and just about any bank will exchange coins. Gas is insignificant, you're not going there every day. He went after a month and half the gumballs were still there, you could go every 2 months while you're in the general area.

If you think about it get enough of these or other machine types setup around town you could make some decent cash over time after awhile and if you saved the money you could always get a soda machine setup somewhere with decent traffic and really make some cash.

The best part is that it isn't a commercial grade gumball machine so the top doesn't have a key lock. Anyone can come in and twist off the top and take gumballs for free or your quarters (or both).

☺️ I run a gumball machine business and have to count the cash in the back of my car as I pay the stores a share for letting me have it there. I cleaned out underneath my back seat the day and banked $150 in spare coins that had slipped through the cracks. It's a great savings plan.

Well he was talking about gross profit. You can later subtract the admin cost of labor and driving to location. Space rental etc... Then subtract the depreciation cost of the machine. For ex it's $90 and works for 5 years. Then it's ($-18) per year cost..

We have one at our store. The provider takes a 80% cut, And there is 80 small containers in it for £1 each, We sold 1 container this month so our cut is about 20pence...

@@blest5132 Yeah but this machine was free, So the guy drops it off free of charge and refills it and cares for it himself and at the end of each month we get a 20% cut, pretty fair deal for having to do zero sales/maitinance but its not very profitable it seems. And we are a beachfront popular ice cream shop with lots of kids coming through :/

lol you can't charge a rent fee on a gumball machine, it's pointless. gumball machines pull in on average $10 month per head. what you can do is ask for a percentage. i norally offer 10-15% to a business when i try to place a machine. sometimes 20 if i really want the spot, and if it's babtting cages or something, i could even offer 25. i'd never do rent though

Allocate one day you're not doing anything every month or two to go around and clean/refill gumball machine and collect your cash and it's pretty simple. If you can manage to get your gumball machines in a good few hot spots ie maybe like an arcade or place that hosts kids birthday parties and you could make even more per machine

Honestly a good choice, no electronics to repair or replace if something breaks. I would make a note of when you fill the machine,or maybe put a sticker on it so people know it's fresh.
