Definitely give their earlier stuff a go! That's generally what most people would say is their best. I'd recommend 505 or When the Sun Goes Down

The best description of arctic monkeys that I’ve ever heard is “smooth vocals and sleazy guitar riffs.” Seriously, it’s strip club music, and I love it. They make rock sexy.

That's what they've become at the time. In the beginning when they were at their best they weren't like that. Last album and the next one were written on a piano, so you'll struggle to find a guitar riff at all, sleazy or not. They've got progressively worse with each album they made.

Would love to watch you react to "why'd you only call me when you're high" from the same album. Or maybe "I bet that you look good on the dance floor" from their early days, a complete different groove.

His vocal phrasing is insane. Even though the band is playing a 4 bar, he’ll sing his lines at 5-6 bars, then pause or shorten then come back right back on the one.
As George said, the setting is not right. This not the song you play at the club, but it is the song you'd play on the late night drive back from the club. They are a band that is stronger lyrically. Fluorescent Adolescent is a favorite. The Artic Monkeys remind me a lot of The Clash. Glad you gave it a spin and thank you for the shout-out!

I always interpreted this about the singer still being in love with an ex. "Do I wanna know, do you want me crawling back to you?". A scary question for a desperate soul still attached to an old love.

"When the sun goes down" is an absolute must listen from them
Lads you're not wrong 🤣 this is definitely a sexy, sexy song haha I was at a party talking to a guy I had a HUGE crush on, and I was so nervous even at 23, then this came on and I was suddenly so confident and... well. Landed that one. 🤣
The whole album is perfect. Concept, songwriting, guitar riffs, drums, mixing etc. 10/10
"When the Sun Goes Down" by these guys has one of the best guitar riffs. Would love to see you give that one a spin.

Chevy and Bacardi both used this one in their TV commercials and they both run during football/basketball games so maybe that’s it?
I love how much you focus on the lyrics, Alex is one of the most talented lyrics writers out there, full of humour (he already got you laughing from the first song 😁) and life experiences everyone can relate too.
505 with the steady increase in intensity/emotion is a must
53 here , I’ve seen every genre of music live that you can imagine. I absolutely love this band! Followed them since 2007, finally saw them live in Detroit 2018, amazing live.
This album is really good. There’s a half dozen songs on it that simply just slap. Pretty amazing that a concept album about a concept as simple is what can happen in the later hours of the evening could be this good.
"Crawling back to youuuu., ever thought of calling when you've had a few.. Cos I always do , maybe I'm too busy being yours to find someone new"😭🔥
Absolute tune! I bloody love Arctic Monkeys, seen them a couple of times live and they come from just down the road from me in Sheffield. Great song choice too!
Please listen to something off their first two albums! "When The Sun Goes Down", "505", "Fluorescent Adolescent" & "I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor" are some of my favorites.
If you want more Arctic Monkeys, definitely do When The Sun Goes Down
You need to do "I bet you look good on the dance floor"!!! Alex Turner is a wordsmith of the highest order. I can also recommend Bloc Party - A song for Clay.

This song is straight up the best popular song of the 10's, it's just phenomenal.
Must do next "why you only call me when you high"
You should really check their old stuff! "When the sun goes down" "Mardy Bum" and "A Certain Romance" are just a few of their great tracks!
Favourite Worst Nightmare is my favorite work of theirs, just a fun mix of groovy rock sounds. AM has a whole different vibe in comparison.
Lads. Finally. As a UK watcher of your shows Im so glad you finally got to these. They are massive here. You got to do the view from the afternoon.

🦋Omg YES! One of my favorite Arctic Monkeys songs! This is Great! Thanks guys for such a Awesome Reaction.🎶❤🖤 Other great songs by them to react to would be "R U MINE" "I Wanna be yours" & Arabella.🦋The breakdown you both gave was. "On Point!" Definitely a song you play to relax and unwind. Every women I've ever met loves this song.
The layering of the vocals during the 2nd chorus is so good
When the sun gose down!!! Yall love it
A great song by the Arctic Monkeys. As others stated, check out some of their early work as well. The lead singer, Alex Turner, struck up a friendship with Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age and sang backup vocals on the QOTSA "Like Clockwork" album. Josh returned the favor and sang backup on this song. This song is very much in the swag vibe of QOTSA. You NEED to hear some QOTSA songs from that album (I Appear Missing, If I Had a Tail, My God Is the Sun, etc.)
Their older stuff has a bit more bite to it, I Bet You Look Good on The Dancefloor or Fake Tales of San Francisco from their first album are both really good
A little ditty.. Josh Jomme from Kyuss and QOTSA co produced an Artics record
I'm so happy to see you guys expanding your business! The best reaction channel on KZread I am definitely going to sub to Patreon and check out your new website :) Love from the UK, you guys deserve it and more
FYI Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) is in that falsetto mix in the chorus.
I do love me some Arctic Monkeys, especially this jam. Takes me back to my late teens.
Check out "A Certain Romance", "The View From The Afternoon", "When The Sun Goes Down" or "From The Ritz To The Rubble" - all from their first record. In the early days of the band Alex Turner was open about how grime and particularly artists like (early) Dizzee Rascal were a big influence to them, and they combined that with huge choruses and catchy hooks to create an interesting and unique sounds. Later albums never quite hit that magic spot in my opinion.

Their new stuff is so slick, some of the old stuff is a bit more raw and more in line with other rock stuff you've reacted to. This is my favourite album though. So smooth. Every song is a banger.
Good to see you guys branching out. Definitely didn't expect the Arctic monkeys
Great review as always. I love how you guys do different genres. I feel the brilliance and charm of arctic monkies is amplified by there references to English and especially northern English culture. All the way down to Alex accent. That isn't to say they don't transcend genres and countries .. I just feel it you have that point of reference it adds another layer to their brilliance x
I’m about to see these boys next week out here in Vegas for Life is Beautiful!

I love this song!! I also recommend "I bet you look good on the dance floor" and “why’d you only call me when you’re high"… so good! Great reaction!
Have never listened to these guys but I’ve seen the name a lot. I really like this and will seek out more from them.
An album of theirs where I like basically every single song is Whatever People Say I Am That's What Im Not. I'd personally give a song off of that one a listen. Fake Tales of San Francisco, When the Sun Goes Down, or From the Ritz to the Rubble are some of my favorites.
So excited to watch you guys react to songs from this album. My personal favourite is the last song, I Wanna Be Yours. Similar vibe, nicely bookends the album. And has some hilarious lyrics.
His lyrics are great! Lot's of Northern English to chew over. Great video guys, as always! More Arctic Monkeys please 😁
When the Sun Goes Down, Mardy Bum, Teddy Picker. Some of my fav Arctic Monkeys songs.
Gotta react to some first two album songs. They were HUGE in britain with those, do “Brianstorm” & “When The Sun Goes Down” 👍

Wonderful content as always guys. If you're in to the more soulful or R&B style of singing and vocalization... and Metal then I recommend checking out Oceans of Slumber.
