Matt Helders learned how to play the drums because the other parts were already taken. He and Al were friends first, but he couldn't decide. Now he has awards for being the best UK drummer of the time (about 7 ish years ago). He is also an amazingly nice guy.

The Arctic Monkeys are an amazing band, I think you guys would enjoy some of their other music. I'd recommend checking out their song Arabella when you get a chance. Oh and like someone else recommended, you guys should check out The Black Keys too.

Oh man, you should have watched the official music video. It's a visual masterpiece and honestly adds soo much more to the song itself

To be honest, they are a bit difficult for an American to understand when they are speaking. However, hearing the accent in the songs is one of my favorite parts of their music.

What a song and what a band; these guys won almost every award there was in the UK for years, and that's a tough music market to be on top of *as a BAND* wow.

When the Sun Goes Down and I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor are their two iconic hits

I just heard this for the first time about a month ago even though it's from 2013. It's an amazing song that dives deep in your guts. The video of a live Red Bull performance is excellent too. The singer sounds and moves in ways that conjure memories of Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan.

Amazing band that within just 18months of releasing their first album were headlining Britains biggest festival at Glastonbury.

I never saw this song as the protagonist getting back with someone, rather him debating if he should chase someone he secretly admired but never had the guts to ask out.

you should check out their son R U Mine off the same album. it is arranged in a similar fashion, riffs and chords but its faster tempo, up beat and the drums get a proper bashing. there song 505 is awesome too

Artic monkeys are solid as a band. Anything of this album (AM) is good 👍

Asia. He's being the first of two people to say the truth that two people don't get on but somehow are addicted to each other. It is a powerful song, not a lullaby. He's a typical dude. Very confident amongst his male life but afraid of being rejected even though she's already proved she likes him.

I don’t think it’s about getting back with someone. I feel it’s more like two people who are really attracted to each other, maybe super flirty, there’s chemistry there and a definite spark. He’s debating wether to take it further. Maybe they’ve kissed and now he can’t stop thinking about her. He’s trying to suss out if the feeling is mutual and if it’s worth pursuing. Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s just my take on it.
