The readme included with the demo is so misleading, I always take "contents of the zip" to mean the immidiate contents which is "Demo_1710435786". I've played countless mods and there is never any confusion about what "contents of the zip" means.

delete the archthrone files, i think that's the only way unfortunately. I'd delete everything though, and then just reinstall it

The mod runs on its own server and uses its own save file, you're at no risk of getting banned.

so can you play this mod with unlocked frames?

Downpatch exe isn't working. Just launches vanilla DS3. Should I uninstall the mod, and reinstall after I add the downpatch to the game files?

The way I did it is launch game (FROM THE EXE NOT TRU STEAM OR SHORTCUT) let it install and DL mod files Ingame make a save and then downpatch

I also struggle with the launch on steamdeck. I try a few things yet, but i dont know when I had make any mistake. I uninstalled the game, and install again, because it says a freshly download, maybe it will helps

The way I did it was don't downpatch , let it install and download mod first , make a save and then downpatch

mod got famous af, probably their servers are struggling with too much ppl trying to play it

My game doesn't open, it only opens when I remove the folder called ''Dllmods'' I've already tried downgrading and reinstalling the mod, can you help me?

I believe if you downpatch DS3, you can just set steam settings to "Only update this game when launched" and "Never allow downloads while playing this game" and that should keep it to the downpatched state. It works for the skyrim modding community, but not too sure if it'd work for DS3 as well.

I played a bit close to launch and it was choppy. I wanted to give it some time for it to be better. Uninstalled and reinstalled everything just now. If I were u I would uninstall convergence , cause both are overhaul mods and it could fuck each other up with items in locations n such

i copied paste the mod files in the game directory, when i launch the .exe there is only vanilla game

My game keeps closing itself out when I try to boot it up. I've already downpatched to 1.15 and followed the steps in the video, but the issue still persists.

I actually ended up shutting off my computer for a min and turning it back on and it works! Amazing stuff, obv a couple crashes but not that often

I didn't get the "replace file destination" message, does that mean something didn't copy over right?

Move dinput8 out, validate files to update the exe if downpatched (I recommend keeping a copy of both around so you can just switch on the fly)

Dark Souls 3, and you need to have both dlcs (ashes of ariandel and the ringed city)

No. You literally just rename the 'archthrones' folder and it runs the game without it.

Remove the files you dragged in (double check to make sure dinput8.dll is for sure gone) and if you downpatched verify files on steam

Unlisted the old ones because the installation process changed, made new ones and they were outdated 5 minutes later so I deleted them, might make new ones at some point once they've settled down a bit.

Fairly sure all you need to do is move dinput8.dll out of your game folder (that'll prevent the mod from loading) and verify files on steam if you've downpatched (I keep both exe's around so I can switch at will without need to verify)

this guide helped a lot, the only issue i have is that when i launch the game it launches in fullscreen and crashes. ive found a way to work around this by alt+tabbing out of the game and its downloading in a seperate window rn but idk what to do when its done

Please, I need to understand what “Freshly Installed” means. In my mind, it could mean 3 things, either just having the vanilla at any state, having vanilla but not opening the game before the mod is installed, or having vanilla but not opening the game before the mod is installed +wiping out your saves, just in case. I don’t understand which of these you guys mean, I tried reinstalling Dark Souls 3 and deleting all the previous modded stuff, and now it’s giving me a “cannot download” issue thing. I _did_ try to download the mod when it was unpacked and such, +had to remove some modded stuff before, and it _did_ install successfully, but it kept crashing afterwards. Now I’m just wondering what I should do to not spend hours on this because of my lack of understanding on what I’m supposed to do.

How come you already have the Archthrones file in your ds3 folder?

I had a similar issue with my PS4 controller and found it works when I open the game with the controller unplugged and then plugging it in once it loads. See if that works.

I was playing the mod all day yesterday but now the game doesn't want to launch . IDK what to do...

Is it a PS 5 controller? If so, mine didn't work. When going back to my ancient Xbox 360 one then it worked just fine.

@@GreatMightyp0 yh i saw it yesterday when I launched , could only connect once to server after install, after that had to play in offline mode cause couldn't connect anymore , also is it just me or are certain mobs brain-dead easy and certain mobs harder then some bosses , like I went to the desert and the bandit guys Moveset is Hella strong , almost feels as if going heavy 2 handers to stagger em a lil bit is mandatory

Correct you put the files in there. If you don’t wanna play the mod delete all the files then verify them again on steam.

Can you play multiplayer?

Whenever I enter the Middle archstone which I think is the undead settlement the game crashes in the loading screen im on patch 1.15 if I update to patch 1.15.1 it immedietly crashes after lighting the shrine bonfire

before i downpatched and opened the game it would open with the archstone screen and crash, now i replaced it with the downpatch and it just opens up without the mods...

okay finally was able to go through the download process by alt tabbing out and letting it download, but still shuts down when i click back to it to play

For some reason that i can't undestand, the installation for me it's stuck and won't even start, shame.

This mod uses a separate save file and has it's own server, so there's no risk to your steam account, just make sure to remove any files you put in before going back to vanilla (dinput8.dll being the most important one). If you want to be really really safe you can use steam family share but there's no need really.
