When I had my first job during my college years (me, an international student who took a year off college in his home country to get a full-time job temporarily), I used to listen to this song every day during my commute back home. I was quite conflicted back then. . I really wanted to hold on to that job and feel the warmth of being accepted and loved by my coworkers. But at the same time, I knew that my days there were limited and I will have to get back to being a student again. There was someone there that I really liked and I knew for sure that it wouldn't work out at all because of my situation as a student. To ease that chronic pain back then, I used to listen to that song on daily basis. I promised myself that I wouldn't regret anything at all. To enjoy the moment and 'savor the bitter aftertaste ' was a goal of mine. On my last day of work, I said goodbye to everyone with a smile and a cheerful soul. Took pictures with everyone and made sure to tell everyone how I truly felt about them. Just as I left the building and I was walking down the street, this song came at the back of my head and I started crying uncontrollably. The lines "liar" specifically made me lose it. Kept on telling myself that it wasn't much of a big deal until this song reminded me how much I truly loved working there. Thank you arch-enemy, your song truly moved true emotions in me and brought me where I am today.

The first time I hear their new vocalist, I love it!

Total package, FACE MELTING riffs, "FRANTIC" energy drums. And as for the vocalist WOW!!!! screaming/growling tunefully and clearly/audibly. Rare to find a singer who has the range to sing beautifully and still be so RAW!! (male or female). I F***IN love this band

This song has been my obsession and I've never liked this type of music before. Arch Enemy and Alissa are the best combo, her voice truly transforms the music into what it is and her expressions are true human emotions. She is an excellent performer and the band is just out of this world. Their skills are just amazing. Love this band.

My only problem is they restrict Alissa vocally and force her to sing to the tune of Angela. Alissa Has so much talent and they don't let her show it take the chains off and lets see what Alissa can bring instead of mimicking Angela.

Well the band so far has been all growl, so now that she is in and is a growler/clean vocalist they're probably going to slowly ease in her clean vocals as well. But before then, they are going to let hardcore Arch Enemy fans get used to the new vocalist with songs that consist of 100% growl vocals for an album or two and then start introducing her clean vocals as well in a 3rd or slowly in the 2nd album with 1 or 2 songs.

Most probably in the earlier years. After extensive touring they should be able to cope with the pain better. The drummer in my band could barely walk after we played death/thrash. So they do, but professional ones have much less pain

As a guitarist myself, I can see and hear this guitar duo is THE REAL DEAL! They're Bad Asses!

Both singers are great,the band is awesome and deserve props because that's some great music. Any lady that can belt this stuff out deserves recognition because not many people can do it especially as clearly as Allisa and Angela while keeping it musical,most men can't even get close especially after hours of it.

According to an interview with her the rest of The Agonist kind of screwed her over by looking to replace her without her knowledge. She doesn't seem like a diva so I don't know why they would've done anything like that. But we got something good out of it. :-)

why do metal heads compare artists from completely different genres. it doesn't makes sense to me.. is it because seeing mainstream artist on MTV and Ellen Degeneres make you bitter... Nicki Minaj is an artist in a completely different genre catering to a completely different audience. That like getting angry at K-pop and going "oh, well at least is better than those korean pop bands!" Musicians should be respected regardless if they are orchestral composers (who look down on Metal even more than metal fans look down on mainstream pop) Rappers, bluegrass singers or Metal musicians. it takes a LOT of hard work dedication and talent to be a musician. regardless if you like Justin Biebers music or not he was a drumming prodigy at age 5 and is a multi-instrumentalist now. Nicki is a rapper who write all of her own stuff, and tho her most successful tracks are pop her albums are like samplers with hard hitting lyrics that made Jay-z and Nas (the most respected rappers in her genre) take note of her lyrical talent. If you aren't a pop fan, how can you have a rational opinion of the music? Yo-yo Ma's music may bore you to tears but does it make his music garbage?.. or just not for you.... Music lovers and musicians need to be more rational, like I said earlier there are plenty of music snobs that would call metal trash, that doesn't mean it is.

I sort of gave up on Arch Enemy after all the personnel changes a few years back. I only clicked on this because I thought she was topless in the thumbnail and, cynical fucker that I am, I thought I'd sneer at them for making shite music with their new sexual decoy vocalist. But now, I *regret* that. This is a fantastic song, and she's actually a really good vocalist. Now I need to hear the whole album and maybe buy it. No more regrets, provided I don't do any thing else stupid.

both are amazing. not better or worse, just evolved..

The melodies, the thrashing, the sheer pace of this is amazing. Not to mention the noise that comes out of that little blue haired nutter!

It took me a while but now Im accepting the fact that she change band and loving the new AE album ... the only thing that I have difficulty is that with The Agonist we had a nice sets of researched lyrics ... but this album just excel with simplicity ... I do not know who wrotes for the Agonist but he/she need to help AE because even without them, the album is nice, imagine WITH !!!

Actually I'm glad Alyssa doesn't do the writing for AE. As much as I liked the sound of The Agonist, the lyrics felt like I was attending a political rally. UGH
