I just can't express how awesome this song is. The riffs and music... so heavy and delivered with such clarity. And the lyrics and vocals are savage.

I like how Alissa and Nick left their mark on War Eternal without changing the core sound of Arch Enemy. That's some perfect melding with a new band.

The new Album is part of Arch enemy, very good how it turned out Amazing!!Nobody can say anything bad about that Album, every song on it is GREAT!! The of the best. Also most of the time when a band changes members, they go under.

To be honest, I have no facts, but I suspect Amott basically fired him for Loomis. Nick was definitely talented. But let's be real, Loomis really is the best. If my hunch is right, it's a shame for Nick. But to a degree, could you blame Amott. Who wouldn't want that real life Schwisgar in their band?! Loomis is a Scandanavian, Viking God in disguise. Look at his solo work! Since he is in the extreme metal scene, he will never be given full credit. But honestly, Loomis is significantly better then Satriani, S. Vai, Van Halen, Hendrix, Clapton, Malsteen. Can anyone name a better guitarist? I truly believe that he is the best guitarist in the world. I had a pick he threw during summer slaughter. Unfortunately I think my ex trashed it. But at least now I know what the best pick for metal is. 1.5mm tortex sharp pick. I'm telling you, for metal, it just digs in that string, and tares it up with no mercy. Leaving a raw vibration of sustain. Mix that with DR DDT 16-66 strings, and you get the most brutal and heavy sound ever. JEFF LOOMIS IS A METAL GUITAR GOD. Alexi Laiho, Micheal Amott, and Jeff Loomis. The 3 best in the world. Stay Metal!

True story. This is the original vocal take she did when she came to Halmstad the first time. This is kind of Alissa’s ”try out for the band”. We sat in the studio and just tried to keep calm. It wasn’t easy. THIS is how you deliver when you want to be in a band. The ”demo” was just so good that it ended up on the album. Bloody incredible. As far as I remember we only changed one line. Or half a line actually. Alissa=pro.

+DJ Programer it doesn't, it's really a tone shit of luck. You can have amazing talent on screaming, but if you don't have any technique and you try growling, you'll lose your voice sonner than you think. The luck is about finding your technique by yourself and then mastering it

The addition of the Jeff Loomis solo fills really changes the texture of the song from the version on the album and absolutely for the better. Loomis is my favorite guitarist and his style is so distinctive. There was no one who wrote metal songs with such unusual and clever riffs as JL for Nevermore and his solo playing is as good as it gets. What a compliment to Michael Amott with such contrasting styles. I can't wait to hear what he and MA come up with for the next record. I expect some groundbreaking changes for Arch Enemy.

I feel the additions of Jeff and Alissa have injected new life into the band. I've seen them live and she's having an absolute BLAST! She's very dynamic and energetic on stage and Michael is on record that he's open to the incorporation of clean singing on their records going forward. Man, Alissa belting out powerful clean choruses on Arch Enemy would be INSANE!

Were you let down? I was let down lol. The album was fine I just want Jeff to actually write something for AE. If he did it would be the best song on the album.

Great and amazing song. One of my favorite songs. Great musicians and a great singer. The beautiful guitars melodies and a great growling vocal. Arch Enemy is one of the best metal bands today. I very like it :-).

Both vocalists are amazing. I just wish Angela was also doing more work. She's incredible.

Confession: I only came here for Jeff Loomis. I think he needed at least two minutes dedicated to his guitar solo. (._.)

I'm so OBSESSED with arch enemy that I made my phone ring with the song ,,War Eternal"... I'm only 13, and my friends usually listen to some pop shits (for me) and think that's real good music... For me Arch Enemy is best example for showing anger and emotions, through their lyrics growling (screaming) my friends think I'm Satanist just because I like dark metal clothing and I listen to metal... But anyways, everybody has their dark side and it isn't too bad to explore it

I noticed that a couple of times; some older children from 8th grade were bullying one emo guy who just loves metal and dark style, they called him Satanist just because he listens to Arch Enemy, Metallica, The Agonist ect. I hate people who just can't accept that someone is different than them. just because pop music is popular that doesn't mean that whole world has to listen to it. Jeff joined in Nov 2014. The album came out in 2014. Single in 2015. That's why Jeff isn't in any of the other War Eternal videos.

I seriously don't see what everyone's bitching about. This album is doing very well, and the band is more alive than ever. All this Alissa vs. Angela talk. Angela is the one who picked Alissa to replace her. Jeff, and Michael fucking kill together, and War Eternal may not be as instrumentally fit as the other albums, but it's catchy as hell, and I fuckin love it. You can definitely tell they picked up Classical scales on this album.

For me is Loomis a big Jackpot for Arch Enemy.

Cool. This video must have been recorded late in the War Eternal production as Jeff is in it. The other videos have Nick Cordle. I wonder what else from War Eternal has Jeff in it?

love this album this is my fav song off of it.

So fucking amazing!! It makes me feel a little bit dizzy hahah but it's so creative! and amazing of Jeff loomis to include that touch to the song! I love it... love both versions... and amazing that AE included parts of LAtinAmerican Tour.. I guess I saw something of Colombia or maybe not.. but it brings me great memories of the beginning of the year when I saw them for very first time.... amazing!!
