Arc'teryx Presents: Le Toit de Ben
Autumn 1958. Val-David, the cradle of climbing in Quebec. Two daring young climbers embark on the ascent of a route that seemed unattainable, resembling a roof suspended in the air, defying all the conventions of the time. It only takes one attempt for the lead climber to leave his mark: henceforth known as "Le Toit de Ben".

Automne 1958.

Great video! Well done 👌
This is such an amazing story! Monsieur is old, but one can tell he is still full of life and enthusiasm! Thanks Arcteryx for sharing this video.
Beautiful film. I got really emotional when the slideshow started... I realised more and more that we have one life, one shot, one chance. And if we are lucky, it will be filled with beautiful and friendly people, great adventures and meaningful relationships. Much love to everyone out there, take it easy
Quelle histoire, quel homme!
that guy is badass !!

Superbe!

Chocks had already been in use for decades in the peak district and in the Ebl valley. Not to mention that they're more like wood pitons, nifty craftsmanship for sure however.
Une belle histoire
Amazing!
Super le film! J'aime bien apprendre l'histoire de l'escalade locale.
I live an hour away from this place!
Magnifique
Merci Arc’teryx!!!

Lovely video but it would be awesome to show the climbing of the upper crack to help undestanding the effort of the first ascensionist

Those are Bernard Poisson words. He could probably add much more but we told him to stay concise x)
