That entire interaction didn't make any sense. I've been in classes where I'm the only Arab, in others there were only 2-3 Jews. Had similar experiences when teaching at Wizo. It is what it is. The thing with the airport also doesn't really make much sense. Only times I've had airport security go through my stuff was when they saw something suspicious in the xray (as they should!), and they were always nice about it.

From B'Tselem website: Citizenship - Jews living anywhere in the world, their children and grandchildren - and their spouses - are entitled to Israeli citizenship. In contrast, Palestinians cannot immigrate to Israeli-controlled areas, even if they, their parents or their grandparents were born and lived there. Israel makes it difficult for Palestinians who live in one of the units it controls to obtain status in another, and has enacted legislation that prohibits granting Palestinians who marry Israelis status within the Green Line. Freedom of movement - Israeli citizens enjoy freedom of movement in the entire area controlled by Israel (with the exception of the Gaza Strip) and may enter and leave the country freely. Palestinian subjects, on the other hand, require a special Israeli-issued permit to travel between the units (and sometimes inside them), and exit abroad also requires Israeli approval. Political participation - Palestinian citizens of Israel may vote and run for office, but leading politicians consistently undermine the legitimacy of Palestinian political representatives. The roughly five million Palestinians who live in the Occupied Territories, including East Jerusalem, cannot participate in the political system that governs their lives and determines their future. They are denied other political rights as well, including freedom of speech and association. www.btselem.org/apartheid

May not be in this terms properly but what about control, ocupation, how israeli goverment does not allow free coming and going even inside palestinian territory by palestinians, for instance. From Gaza to Cisjordania Israel controls palestinians. Israel controls who goes to Gaza and Cisjordania. They have no right to do that. It would be similar Argentina goverment controls who goes to Uruguai. Palestinian refugees can not go back to Gaza or Cisjordania because of Israel. There are many points. Israel arrests palestinians for many years with no proper trial. Thera are many ways Israel is an oppressor for palestinians.

Ok my comment is still relevant. You go on Israeli campuses, there are Arab students. The biggest problem obstacle is forgoing military service which for many years since Arabs and prior to new legislation religious Jews did not need to enlist, they had issues getting certain scholarships. Another issue is that most Israeli schools require a certain level of Hebrew language level that many Arab students did not have. This was discrimination, but not a constitutional system of apartheid. Many groups exist to bridge these gaps, however it would require working alongside Jews and Arabs rather than continuing to self-victimize.

Just FYI, in Israel, the responsabilty of building parks, and municipal infrastructure, is on the municipal level (meaning the municipal athority is the responsible). All towns and vilages - Arabs and Jews - get the same budget from the govrenment according to their population size. The rest of their income is from municipal taxes (ARNONA), local parking fees etc.. The difference comes because there's a lot of crime and corruption in the Arab communities, and not enough that dares to testify against the criminals. So the funds the local athourites get to improve their lifes, is either embazeled or payed as "protection" money to crime organizations.. Ask a black person in south Africa 50 years ago "do you live in apartheid?" and he'll have a quick list to give you. Here, you talk to Arabs literally while they sit freely in a mall, walk in a street inside a mixed city, work, own land etc.. There are a lot of issues that most Jews would agree we need to fix. Regarding the housing issue it's the same for all. My great-great parent bought land 50 years ago and it's still locked for "agriculture only". It requires a lot of approvals and procedures that take years and a lot of money to get approval to build on the land. As Israel has limited space, mostly you get approvals for highrise so mostly you will need to find a developer that would like to buy the land from you and the surrounding land to build a building and then you get an apartment out of it. Buying land to build a private house is very expensive.

You have rights to vote, serve in parliament, you live side by side with Jews, go to the same schools, hospitals etc. If you are living in what people call the West Bank, you are not under the authority of Israel. Islamic law doesn't really apply to us in Muslim-majority Morocco. We have rabbinical courts which have autonomy in questions of marriage, divorce, inheritance... We are exempt from certain laws that apply to Muslims such as no eating in public during Ramadan and the ban on purchasing alcohol (although this is more a symbolic law as Muslims can easily purchase alcohol here). The jizya tax has been abolished for over a hundred years. Most of us are rather privileged as we tend to be highly educated with generational wealth and dual or triple citizenships. The only other Muslim-majority countries with "substantial" Jewish populations are all non-Arab: Azerbaijan and Turkey, with around 15k-20k each, but those are secular states, and then Iran, whose Muslims can attest to the oppression Islamic regime. The Jewish expats I know working in the Gulf tend to like it there and have no issues. As for the actual Arab states of Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Yemen, and Libya, not many Jews left to speak of.

Actually Arabs have better acceptance requirements and saved places for them only. That's a complete lie. Also arabs are common in every good working place, including as doctors, lawyers, judges, etc. I've never heard about the airport thing and I am skeptic about it, especially after he lied about the rest. Also, What's an apartheid? He is not an Israeli citizen. ofc he won't have the same rights as us, but an Israeli Arab has better rights than I do as an Israeli Jew. Second lady: Afraid of Jews with guns. Are you planning on attacking them? why do you afraid of that? It has nothing to do with discrimination. Third guy: God bless you my brother I wish everyone would raise their kids like you do. You give me hope. Fourth dude: LIAR. Where I live, we the residents pay additional taxes that go straight to the settlement and our democratically chosen representatives choose what to use this money for. The government doesn't take care of us more than they do in Arab cities. Also, he is free to not indoctrinate his children with hate and send them to the exact school that he finds better. That's not an apartheid. Also he claims that IDF soldiers sell their guns to Arabs who then use them for violence instead of admitting that his friends are criminals who steal guns and are violent, just like himself. I'm tired of those liars already.

I talked to an arab israeli friend that told me how much they paid to build their house (a very big 3 stories house with garden) and it cost 3 times less than a house in a more jewish orainted city or village. about the universy. it is correct that a palestinian from area b like Ramalla cann't learn in an Israeli University some subjects. it is though the fact that in the past they studied in Israel and than build bombs to kill israelis with that knowlage. still they can learn other subjects or study in Jordan. About teaching kids equlity, i was raised to love and respect all, i studied and worked with Israeli Arabs. But ever since the operation when israeli arabs stared to a violent and diedly raits against jews in Israel, it put a stain on the relationshio and less Jews trust them now. So if a Muslim wants to live somewhere where the Jews or Christians own everything, they wont be allowed because they discriminate to avoid giving resources to other groups. They all do it, its a toxic effect because of what the Jews have done in Israel historically. In the end the Jews have all the levers of power, military and financial in Israel so they are the main offender, but they all do it and it makes life hard for non-jews in particular

If crimes happen, usually is because many in the neighborhood don't want to go to police to testify, which also happens in my country, which leads to the criminal no being caught or held in prison. One good thing about this interview, is that apparently everyone can go to university, in many countries the rich gets the priority, and also from the majority interviewed all israeli-arabs could find a job in Israel. Etc It depends on the amount of municipal taxes you pay. We pay double while in the next city, people pay less taxes, they get less services. Some services are the same quality for all the province (health system, water and electricity facilities) Inadequate police services are common in each country, it doesn't depend on your race. I don't blame them because I wouldn't want to do their job. Examples: (1) We were robbed in Mexico, we tough we would get help because there were policemen in each street corner. But NO, we didn't, even if we showed them the location where the stolen phone was. (2) In our own country, we showed them the location of the stolen car, no immediate help because stolen cars are not FIRST priority. We had to "steel" it back.

We have less chances to get accepted to medical schools as they are forced by law to accept arabs instead of jews. We need to pay taxes, while the arabs do not do so (I live next to an arab villege where they drive fancy cars there worth more than half a million NIS, which we cannot afford in our neighborhood). We need to serve in the army, again, the arabs don't need to do that. There are offices of the government that accept, again- by law, only arabs for a spcific job, which I cannot apply to because of this law. Jews are not allowed to go into temple mount (in their own capital city) wherever they want and wherever they want. So, yes, there is an apartheid.

Imagine a Jewish teacher teaching daily in Ramallah

I came away from this with a lot more questions. But this Is what I learned from this video. Most probably don't consider it apartheid and when they do they seem to automatically talk about the regions of Palestine. Like the West Bank. And not Israel proper. Immediately obfuscating the original question. The exception may lay with how funding is allocated to Arab neighbourhoods as opposed to Jewish neighbourhoods. Less policing and increased crime rates. Is that something that can be legally changed with the right representation? Based on the legal framework they have set up, I think they can. They just need the right representation to be elected. One man mentioned it only got worse within the last 15 years leaving me to believe it's possible. (However, improbably based on today's climate) What I gather from this is that in Israel proper, there doesn't appear to be a legal issue so much as a discrimination issue relating to freedom of association. Like with renting or getting a job. The airport one seems to be tied to legalities, but honestly. I don't blame Israel one bit for discrimination against Arabs in this case. Arabs do not have a stellar reputation when it comes to air travel. If I need to explain why then you should be reading history and not my comment.

@desertoasis255 Accusing me of assuming I know nothing before a specific event seems to rely on a generalization, which in itself is a fallacy. It's important to acknowledge that my knowledge might extend beyond that point, suggesting this argument against me is in bad faith.
