Encarta. They called their in-game encyclopedia Encarta. This is how you make 90s kids happy.

That is also true for kids from the 80s as I can say from experience. 😂
I`m really excited about this game!
The crafting system sets this apart.
Will there be mod support? And any chance we might get a map editor/real earth map+true starting locations?
Game looks good!
Looking forward to some gameplay! Signed up for the insider program.
Ooh I didn’t realise there would be war elephants! Very cool.
Will there be a real earth map in the game?

I don't think so, and that will be a huge mistake. They will get the same conceptual problems that Civ has, like Russia spawning in desert, America in a "southeast asia" region etc... It's unbelieavable that for a history inspired game, devs don't realize that we the players want historical immersion and realism. We want a real giant earth, not scramble eggs random maps

@@Gabriel_Lean You know that Civ has, even in random maps, a probability system where Russia has more chance to spawn in tundra than hot desert (even though it's not 100%)? Though I agree that I expect from Civ-like games to allow both kinds of plays: on historical maps, but also on random maps where the discovery is much more important.

@@pmbartoli919 It may have but it never happened to me, hence I haven't played random maps in years.. I just can't, the immersion breaking is too high for me. And I play with 100+ mods also, to enhance historical realism, AI and gameplay, making my experience way different from vanilla Civ.
Главное чтобы ии был хорош
Won't Brazil be in the game?
History is about story telling. Yeah. Right. 😂

Well you can't spell "History" without "story." 😛
Is it me or does the map feels empty around the wonders ? Modrrn stuff like the eiffel tower, you d expect a sprawling city nearby.

It’s your sandbox, if you want buildings all around the Eiffel Tower you can do that!

You have to remember a lot of this footage is not really representative of an actual game that's being played but rather devs and testers setting up these locations to showcase the wonders and such. In actual gameplay the locations will likely be more populated with support buildings and such.
