Finally an iPhone 8 review about the 8 and not the plus version. So many iPhone videos they title it 8 but mostly talk about the plus. Thank you Jaime some people prefer the 4.7 iPhone more.

Terrence Benjamin I have an android and I don't like it. System is unstable and apps keep crashing or freezing, and I have a Oneplus 3 with 6 gigs of ram and a 820 processor. I feel like lag isn't one of the things I should be experiencing (while browsing). Lots of thermal throttling too.

Dennis Xu okay. I had android before iOS and if the same stuff is still happening from when I used to have it then I will stay with apple for my phone. I might get the pixel 2XL or a Note 8. But I am leaning away from the Note 8 because it’s redundant

Terrence Benjamin Note 8 is a good phone but with any Samsung, they get left in the dust when it comes to updates in less than 2, maybe 1 year. The Pixel would definitely be a smoother running phone with constant updates, but that smaller Pixel 2 is fugly.

When coming from an iPhone 6 to an 8 it’s a great upgrade

switched from the pixel xl to a regular iphone 8. i love it. android requires too much tinkering just to get your phone to work properly. all android phones are getting bigger when i just want a one thumber that will run well and looks pretty good. went all out and bought a macbook pro 15 inch touchbar too. you simply cant go wrong with apple products if you can afford them.

the 8 couldn’t be a big upgrade because it’s made to upsell the X. Just like how the Tesla model 3 is cheaper than the model S but it’s missing a lot of stuff to make ppl want the model s more even if lost can’t afford it. Same exact marketing of iPhone 8 and X

Damian A Wow that’s incredible for such a small battery. Care to share your general usage habits? Like how much are you on WiFi instead of LTE. Do you use any social apps like Snapchat or Twitter. How much media consumption do you do? Do you have anything that could do low power location tracking all the time, such as the thing that automatically saves your parking location? Do you use auto brightness?

I’d like to see how this holds up in terms of battery life (after the buzz) .. I use a 7 plus, so I upgraded my iPad Air 1 to an iPad Pro 10.5 this year .. I feel these devices would easily hold up for another 3 years or so, hassle free ..!

i am a die hard android fan but yes i agree with that statement. Ive generally always suggest android phones but if you had to pick an iphone you definitely go with the plus version. that being said, i think the iphone 8+ would have been a really great option if it had a regular 16:9 oled screen! only reason they probably didnt do that is because you wouldnt really have any reason to spend 300$ more on the 10

When I click on a pocketnow video I always get an ad by Mr. Mobile which makes me go there instead of watching this.

I'm coming from the 6s Plus and got myself the 8 Plus... no regrets here! Man the speakers on the 8 Plus ROCK! These speakers on this phone will easily fill a small to medium size room. The top cut out on the X turned me off... I'll just wait to see if Apple will really give us a true bezel to bezel screen in the next year or two.

fast charge is possible with the 12w iPad charger and that’s $15 at target right now.

The move with releasing the 8 and 10 is definitely a strategic one. Marketing for sure and also to provide that comfort to users who want the latest quality apple product without the changes that come with the 10, Also that price tag on the ten is insane. I literally bought a MacBook the other day for the same price.

Need minimum 256gig storage for music. No updates to itouch or iPad mini on the horizon, and SE Ver 2 will only have 128gig from what is rumored. So iPhone 8 / 8+ or iPad Pro are my only realistic options.

Would go for the 8 Plus due to that 1080p display

I actually brought this phone for $380 on Saturday, January 12, 2019 off Letgo in rose gold 64 GB I like it’s compact like the 7 portable powerful with the A11 chip like the X has wireless charging water and dust resistant and is a good upgrade from my iPhone 7 128 GB space grey

I bought the 8 plus last week. Since its just about the last modern phone we'll ever see with an LCD screen and a home button, I guess i'll be keeping it for eternity. No seriously. It's the best phone i've ever owned and will probably be the last until it damn well breaks into bits. I'm not buying any phone that is OLED or without a home button.

After spending considerable time learning about all the new wiz-bang phones to hit the market, I have decided that Apple's new iPhone 8 series might be a sleeper. The 8 and larger 8 Plus are some of the best smartphones we have seen to date. And, the bezels that are being sourly criticized actually do serve a practical function. The user can comfortably hold the phone in landscape with a place to rest one's thumbs. In my opinion, an underrated feature. All in all, a quietly great phone.

Sandeep Harod Yes I do, its an amazing phone with a size that is really comfortable and affordable. The battery life is really good last me a whole day and I work driving products to other cities and i always leave it on google map and it last me from 5:30 am up to 7 pm.

Honestly, all the "1080p 240fps" footage I've seen captured on either the iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus looks so compressed as to make it look like 480p...

4k @60 FPS is all about the file compression. Switch off the new compression format and it disables the 4k 60 to 4k 30 ... Nothing magic.

ron cosby you can’t turn it off and it’s not that easy because Samsung tried to do it they even put it on their website that the note 8 will be able to record at 4K - 60 but they couldn’t

I've used iPhones ever since the 4 came to Verizon. I've had a 4, 5s, and 6s. When it came time to upgrade I was quite disappointed in how Apple's innovations had declined to almost nothing. Out of spite I made a rookie mistake and decided to give Samsung a try. I have the s7 edge and it is utterly terrible. The battery life is borderline offensive compared my 6s. The fingerprint scanner must be so secure that it won't even let me in with my own fingerprint 80% of the time. If for some reason the app doesn't crash on me it runs like dog shit. Also android apps are crude compared to iOS in my opinion. Idc if they changed anything from iPhone 7 to the iPhone 8. When this phone is paid up I'm crawling back to Apple in a heart beat.

Also what apple should of done was made the iPhone 8 have the screen go to the top like the x but keep the bottom bezel for touch Id for people who like touch id

The only positive thing about Apple post Steve Jobs is the processing power... Software is buggy at first release (need bug fixes), features have already existed long before but sometimes better implemented than others.

iOS 11 draines battery like crazy and according to Pocket Now battery time is better then ever. Something isn't right here?
