I'm using the Zugu Muse case for my 12.9" and I love it! I previously used the Apple Smart Folio & Otterbox Symmetry 360, but the Zugu is just hands down the better iPad case experience. I keep my iPad + case in a 13-14" laptop sleeve that I stow away in my backpack when I'm on campus. Sitting down to study on campus and noticing the table is dirty is pretty common. Aside from brushing off the table I also use my laptop sleeve as a cushion to rest my iPad on. This greatly alleviates the worries of picking up stuff on the inner-surface microfiber lining from the dirty table that'll end up potentially scratching the screen.

I own the Zugucase for the 2018 regular iPad and i love it. They are the exact same in design minus the Apple Pencil charging area on the top. The dust on the microfibre cover is a little bit of a pain, but in my opinion its only a minor annoyance and would not stop me from buying this case again. I use a tempered glass screen protector so im dont worry at all about something on the microfibre scratching the screen. If i were to offer Zugucase a bit of design advise is i'd tell them to scrap the microfibre side of the inside cover and replace it with the exact same material on the front of the case. That way if there are crumbs, dirt or dust on it you could just wipe it off in 2 seconds before u close it up. If they did that this case would be perfection! The stand works amazing well. If you are lying in bed or sitting on a couch or something the stand is awesome. It's very strong and wont shift or move while its standing up. It is also a very attractive looking case. The black one i have looks very professional and very well designed.

We have 3 iPads and one more on the way. We have 3 Zugu cases and I need to order one more. I have been using Zugu Case from when they first came out and really do like them no need to change.❗️👍

Thank you for the video! I just purchased an IPad Air 3, and I actually purchased the Zugu in Red. I have not received them yet, but I think the Zugu case will work out perfectly. If I decide later to switch cases, the UAG looks like another great option. BTW, if the concern about the microfiber getting dirty is a serious issue, I would just clean any surface prior to sitting my precious Ipad on it.

UAG doesnt have side protection towards the inside, leaving the left side of the iPad exposed if dropped. Zugu has all around protection for the screen

Wow good point about the microfiber side of the flap that touches the screen getting dirty. That’s something to think about.

Getting the Zugu

I just bought the iPad Gen 6 for my high school teen. Thinking about this Zugu case for it....do you know if this Zugu case can accommodate a glass screen protector? I feel like a screen protector is the one missing feature. Will the cover still close and lock with a third-party glass screen protector in place? (And can you recommend your favorite?) Thank you!!

The Urban Armor loses in my opinion just because of the lack of coverage of the volume buttons and I also like the little slot you can slide the pencil into on the Zugu when your pencil is not charging. I have a Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro and it has been a great case but, I'm looking around for something a little different.

Hey... are the Zugu magnets so strong that it could harm the iPad? I know the official smart folio works with magnets... but they seem less harmful.

The ZUGU case is better for artists, more working positions for your own comfort is ideal. If the microfiber front sleeve bothers some people of getting dirty, you could add a rubber clips leg on all four corner allowing it not to touch the surface and have better grip on surfaces.

Both cases seem to have good drop protection, but with this latest version being prone to bending, is one substantially better protection against this sort of bending damage?

This so called flaw is seriously overblown. I have two of Zugucase's. I use them primarily on my desk at work, my desk at home and around the house. There hasn't been a ton of accumulation of lint, dust or whatever stick to the fabric at all... I use a tempered glass screen protector which is common sense so nothing will harm the actual screen either. Again it might not be for everyone, but it's the best case I've ever owned for an iPad and I've had quite a few. If I'm gonna use it at McDonalds or a coffee shop I make sure the table is reasonably clean before setting my expensive tech on it. Again common sense.

Nutsacker 🥜💼 True and very good points here. I think in order to have the best possible case, buying a screen protector to go along with it is no big deal at all. I think thats exactly what im going to do. Get the zugu and a screen protector. Because even if I has the uag I still would clean the surface are of where my ipad would be sitting. Thanks bro.

Thanks for the reviews, this convince me to get the Zagu case for my iPad Pro 12.9 Inch. The Urban case looks way too bulky and make the iPad look very ugly like a tank. The Zagu also have better viewing angle held down with strong magnet.

UAG always the best and I like Zugu but I prefer UAG

I have a tempered glass screen protector on my iPad. I purchased the griffin rugged folio. Really nice case, but it pulls my tempered glass screen protector up. I’m looking for a case that will work with my screen protector. Would either of these work? Thank you

uncola1 thanks! I ended up getting the Logitech slim folio works great with screen protector.

The UAG is NOT stiff enough for the 12.9 iPad Pro....it’s weakest point is it’s dual folder cover which allows direct pressure to the screen...a big problem when you’re packing it into a bag...the solid cover on the zugu case offers the best protection against pressure points. The iPad Pro screen is very fragile. Buy the zugu... while it’s not 100% perfect it’s the best option.

Just got the Zulu case for 12.9 for my son. I noticed that the middle of each side moves easily and exposes the tablet. Looks like it may be too loose and if dropped the case will not protect. Does everyone have the same problem?

I've owned both UAG and Zugu cases for my tablets and there is no comparison. Keep in mind , I am a huge UAG fan and have 4 of their cases for my IPhone.. But for my tablet the Zugucase is far superior!!! The magnet stand is the best onthe market.

I saw so many reviews about Zugu but nobody ever tells if we can use temper glass protection just,I found interesting why not?

Zulu hands down is the best case. I wish they made cases for Samsung devices

At 3:10 he says that the case has a slot for usb-c instead of lightning cable

That’s probably because the iPad Pro has a usb type c port and not lightning

I watched this video for the express purpose of seeing what the UAG is like with the folio part of the case removed (yes it is detachable|) but you did not even show that? Also, what happened with the Apple pencil on the Zugu case, in the earlier part of the demo the pencil just fell off the magnetic side compartment several times just by you tilting the case, then later in your video you shook the case hard and it did not budge? are the magnets strong or are they not. No disrespect intended, thanks for doing the video but could you respond to let me know about these things.

Stephen Collins, there wasn't the iPad at this moment so even if there are strong magnets, not strong enough to hold it in place (and not designed to be used without the iPad anyways)

you can fold the cover back and use a regular tablet stand for portrait mode. the amazon basics stand works well and its only 10 bucks

ZUGU every time

They are in high demand because the iPad Pro bends as easy as a pad of paper!

The Zugu has an annoyingly flimsy hinge which always wiggles around when the cover is folded back onto itself. Also, the cover is a pain in the ass to open as there is no real lip to grab onto.

Urban Armor Gear is top its s detachable , Zugu scratch the screen.

UAG has never made anything that isn’t completely fugly and devoid of character and quality materials

You should find something to do other than review products.
