Great update video again. Love the channel! Quick question as you said you seem to have some sort of relationship with Yale, is there any chance you can ask if they have update on when they were planning on releasing their Yale access module Europe/UK? They announced it September 2019 and I’ve been waiting ever since! Thank you again and keep up the great videos

can you use the home mini to turn the you tube tv on apple tv on a channel

Can I use HomeKit secure video+face recognition to trigger an automation? For example open the door or sound the alarm.

Looking forward to seeing the Yale lock. Been looking for a smart door lock.

Do you know if it’s been addressed about how HomeKit doesn’t always reflect the current status of, say, a light switch? I have all WeMo stuff and a lot of times it’ll show as off when it’s actually on and vice-versa. I think it has something to do with manually turning a light on but not entirely sure.

Any recommendations for Air Coniditioning integration with HomeKit? Living in an appartment with 3 units and this is the one application I am interested in.

If you check here www.apple(dot)com/ios/home/accessories/ Apple has a list of compatible AC units, but they seem to be from other countries, not popular brands like LG or Samsung, for these 2 brands I have seen them adding smart stuff to their ACs, but as far as I know, you can only add them via a HOOBS or HomeAssistant if you're more into tinkering with hubs and programming.

Have you done any reviews on smart radiator valves?

Mix reports from them. But I don’t think the current hardware has the ability to support Two way audio

I wonder if I should go into smartthings, or homekit line. I do have ipad and iphone for last 10 years though. LOL

My question is what happened to doorbell announcement on the homepod?

Do you need a HomeKit doorbell or does it work with a HomeKit camera?

I’m not exactly sure why yet?, but the Home app won’t let me enable Intercom on my HomePod.

Same with me. I think they are rolling it out with use of the phone with 14.2 update. I heard they only work between homepods right now.

If you are in the Apple echo system then that’s a good enough reason. But until they hit the market we can’t compare the audio quality

I find that iDevises are so much better option that WeMo and they work with HomeKit. They are miles ahead of WeMo, including their dimmer switch, and all are available in 🇨🇦. I have used WeMo for years and I have finally got rid of them all.

@@HomeKitAuthority I’m really not sure what the market for it is like but I seem to see more Of them than any other lock. I know there are smart night latches available but none for home kit

Wemo plugs and switches are junk stay away from them. Huge connectivity problems, check reviews on the wemo app. You will spend more time keeping them connected then you will using them. Total junk. You can find much better options for a much better price then wemo. If I had a dollar for every hour spent reconnecting this things I would have earned back enough money to pay for the 18 devices I have.
