Appion TEZ8 Proper Use Tips

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The TEZ8 Vacuum Pump was the first AC/R vacuum pump designed from the ground up for service work. Technicians have used the TEZ8 since 2009 to conquer even the toughest evacuation jobs and have reported up to a 10x time savings. Looking to get the most out of your TEZ8? Following the best practice tips in this video will help keep your pump and evacuations running fast!
🔧 Use the Multi-Port Input to connect hoses with ⅜”, ¼” and ½” fittings. The remote exhaust allows the technician to ventilate the workspace when working in clean rooms, small mechanical rooms or with toxic refrigerants.
🔧 Record a baseline before beginning the evacuation by connecting a vacuum gauge directly to the pump.
🔧 Always remove as many restrictions as possible in order to not restrict the flow to the pump. Common restrictions include valve cores & core depressors.
🔧 Connect directly to the vacuum pump for the fastest & most reliable evacuation. Use large diameter, vacuum-rated hoses on both sides of the system.
🔧 Vacuum gauges should always be connected as far from the vacuum pump as possible for an accurate measurement. Measure the system, not the pump.
🔧 Always start the pump with one of the caps off.
🔧 Working in a cold environment? Keep the TEZOM Oil Cartridge warm before installing it into the pump for easy start up even as cold as -40ºF/C!
🔧 Monitor the oil visually and with a vacuum gauge to know when it needs to be changed. When the evacuation has stalled, the oil is saturated with contaminants and should be changed.
🔧 If you’re doing an on-the-fly oil change, use a cloth under the oil supply tube to catch any oil spillage.
🔧 Monitor the Debris Tube for any contaminants or debris pulled from the system.
🔧 Clean and relubricate the Debris Tube & Input Tree O-Rings as necessary. Using High-Vacuum Grease is recommended, but Dielectric Grease is also vacuum-rated and can be used as a substitute.
🔧 Flush the TEZ8 after a job is complete, especially after working on extremely wet or burnout systems. Watch the TEZ8 Flush Video for detailed instructions: • TEZ8 Self-Flush Procedure
🔧 Always remove a cap and return the pump to atmospheric pressure when shutting it off.

The G5 Twin is a Recovery machine, If you want to pull vacuum, you will need to use a Vacuum pump. For trucks, you will have a to get adapters for the high and low side fittings as they most likely are not 1/4inch screw on style.
