When Rani Yahya and Tim Means are the guys with the most name recognition on your card, your sport might be overexposed
They need to Introduce VR, watching the UFC front row at the apex in vr is the only way the apex is worth while for the fans
The 2Lazy2Try thumbnail goes hard
Too many fighters on the roster to have less cards a year. I know people always want big names and every card should at least have 1, but that’s the time for these younger athletes to get their exposure. Not saying I’m not tried of the Apex, because I think the fighters deserve to fight in front of a crowd and not just Lizard Man Mark Zuckerberg or Steve-O. But if the Apex means more fights a year and more divisional movement, I’m here for it
Unfortunately, the UFC doesn't have an option When they signed their deal with ESPN, part of the agreement was putting on X amount of events a year. They have to do Fight Nights
Apex cards are great.... lets you build young fighters. People with little or unknown name value that you dont wanna pay a ticket for.

Sean O Malley , Jamahal Hill , Kevin Holland bulit on Apex
They should cut down the fight nights to only 1 fight night in between numbered cards
Good to see you come back, leaving a comment for algorithm. Hope you gain success again brother.
i still enjoy apex cards and the frequency, but at a certain point it starts to begin to feel like the nba and i can understand the feeling of being jaded from it
I’m just happy we get to have more fights.
I’m really happy because the ufc said that there only going to the apex twice this summer! They just confirmed Louisville June 8th
I agree with the one UFC PPV per month and one Fight Night. Especially when we have DWCS to watch.
I agree a lot of these cards are weak but with the UFC signing more fighters and it growing as an organization do they really have a choice but to have more events? And a lot of these cards feature fighters that might go on to later greatness. UFC 301 is def wack tho.
I don't think they're meant to bring in alot of viewership. They're meant to give experience and development opportunity.
Thanks for the content man
First time I've ever heard a UFC should have less stacked ppv cards take lol. For better or for worse ufc has taken over it's own developmental organizations so what you're seeing is the result of that. I agree but I also think we're in a transitional, adjustment period where we'll get more familiar with newer talent.
I agree, the apex cards are so weak I skip 95% of them. However, when it comes to pay-per-view cards they are definitely doing everything in their power to get as many big fights as possible on them. They go to the lengths of using dirty tactics, announcing fights before they’re signed, etc. I’m not sure there’s really much more they can do other than pay bonuses for filling in important slots. Fighters are already fighting injured and on short notice frequently-and it’s gonna be tough to get that to increase. Until they either give in and offer more money or produce more stars, there just won’t be enough big fights to go around.

Super Causal Alert Most Y'all Tune In For PPVs not love MMA 👋🏼
Bro, bedtime man put me on your music. Please drop more bro shit is too fire!!
Love your content man, I’m in the auto space on KZread but I’m a taekwondo gym owner and a massive fight fan, remember Vince morales? Brother in laws cousin! Keep pushing and even if you have to reshape your brand a bit, don’t stop! You got this! Agree with the opinions in this one big time!
I love it tbh. It’s awesome to know that every weekend there’s some MMA to watch.
I wanna see a cross over event between ONE Championship vs UFC fight once a year or every other year.
I’ve come to expect great fight night main events, we need Smith vs Spann 3 or Tuivasa vs Gaziev. Only the best.
I feel tooo satisfied if that makes since and there is a lil too much mma and boxing stuff
The were okay for the pandemic , but that was almost 5 years ago.
I remember back in the day 1 month was ppv ufc and the next month is ppv Pride it was great... . I hardly ever watch the espn fight night cards . I never watch apex . Damn i miss pride. k1 tournament in Japan was great too
Just because they’re not big name fighters doesn’t mean we won’t get great fights. Khamzat was just a no name fighter at the apex now he’s a star.

True but allow the up in comers to be co-mains the main cards should be important and they are obviously for fight nights

exactly i cannot tell you how many times I've tuned into a no name fight night just for it to be better if not up to par with some PPV events. sometimes they're booty tho
This is a good thing. As someone living in Europe, I appreciate the crappy cards that allow me to get a good night's sleep.
Get my boy to 200k already
Where tf have you been?
4:25 erceg is a beast and has stepped in short notice whenever they asked, Moreno temporarily retired, figgy moved classes and that’s the only new match up in that boring division rn until kape stops missing weight
You don't have to watch every event. People feel like its a requirement but its ok if you are a casual viewer.
Yea, I normally skip the fight nights now except for the main events. Even if they changed the day of the week, I’d be more likely to watch than to dedicate every Saturday
Ever since the UFC has done events every two weeks, I haven’t watched at all. Way too hard to keep up and I honestly can’t keep up.
I heard it's cause of the ESPN deal which is ending soon
You don't need to watch every UFC card. Different cards serve different purposes. Apex cards allow the UFC to hold average professional fights for up and coming talent or lower ranked fighters. The Apex cards facilitate better Fight Nights and PPVs as they allow the fighters to show the brass to "what they've got". You could call Apex fights a necessary evil or a good system for talent recognition.
UFC 301 is a decent fight night at best. They should make less and better fight nights. These APEX fight nights are borderline unwatchable, the only time i watch is when i have absolutely nothing else to do.

As soon as they were able to secure guaranteed money, and didn't have to rely so much on PPV money this was always going to happen. They have so many cards that just exist for their TV deals and they can afford to not make them exciting, put fighters on there the world has never heard of, because they are the cheapest product. They also now have their own venue that doesn't cost them anything to stage events. Its easy money for them.
They can just do shows at a small stadium in Vegas or New York I understand you did all of that to build it and have it and everythin spent money for it but unless they can’t get the sells for a card then they go into there but that’s on the UFC to make good week to week cards
unfortunately i think it’s because the apex has a very low capacity so the UFC has literally no incentive to make good apex cards and instead sign fighters on relatively cheap contracts to squeeze money out of it
UFC turned into WWE. All these fighters trying hard to cut a promo that is forced, the Rock coming out and introducing the BMF Belt. Can't wait for them introduce the Strong&Independent Womans Belt

Bro fans like you have been saying that since the prime Conor days of 2014-16. Baffling you can say that after UFC 300 and how much it solidified how the BMF belt actually stands for something now

name one fighter in ufc that is cutting promos recently though. jamal hill? the rest of that presser was them being respectful to each other. moicana yelled a bit but it wasnt aimed at anyone. just because connor mcgregor trash talked jose aldo years ago doesnt mean its still hapenning. connor is respectful father now.
They're stacking those pay-per-views and making those Apex cards really really really thin almost every time we have one of those I just pull up UFC Fight Pass and watch myself some cage Warriors budo Santo or anything else on the regional seen whether it be in America or somewhere else unless the Apex card has some truly Hidden Gem type bangerz. Which is rare nowadays
There are many factors why they need to have these cards. They have to have so many events due to their deal with ESPN. The Apex cards are an easy and cheap way to put on a show for ESPN+. They don’t need to book a venue, sell tickets, and drive 20 trucks across the country with hundreds of employees to set up the event. They also have almost 2000 fighters on the roster, and they ALL have contracts that guarantee them fights. The deal with ESPN goes through 2025. It was worth $1,500,000,000 TBH, the UFC doesn’t need ESPN anymore. The UFC should have their own app for PPVs and various content, and stream non-PPV events for free on youtube.
The Apex is an insult to all fighters who earn a contract with the UFC. Imagine working your ass off for years in the amateurs and regionals only to perform in a half empty warehouse 😂
I guess Apex is saving UFC money. Less traveling. Always on espn+. It is overwhelming. Good for the locals that can go there every weekend
It made me stop watching fight nights
I haven't religiously watched UFC since UFC 100. it's just not the same anymore

@@BigSoldiermx - big time, it's all about circus acts n freak show matches now
watch less fights.. there are still great fight-night fights.
0:13 Honestly it's only fair , they've made a monopoly of sorts and with so many guys there they need to put out so much to fufill the contracts. Pero-Wrestling in America does that as well(A dominance of it being WWE) where they sign guys and DON'T give them matches and stuff. Granted the "shelf" life of a fighter is probably significantly more critical due to how quick they're bodies can go from peak to not once they lack fights and such
The problem isn't the Apex cards themselves, but rather that the talent pool isn't anywhere deep enough for weekly (or near weekly) events. But as long as the UFC continues to pay as poorly as it does, it's just not going to attract premier talent. Why spend months getting smashed for 10k/10k when you can start out making 6 or even 7 figures a year going pro in baseball, football or basketball?

Absolutely wrong. The majority of the UFC roster are not physically built to play professional sports. Go look at the average height and weight of an average football or basketball player. Most UFC fighters are the average joe that can fight well and have strong will power. The reason why you think the talent pool isnt deep is because they are all so evenly matched which creates chess match mma fights. Very rarely do you see half a card dominated by their opponents like you used to when the UFC paid less.
@zotmaster

@TheKoog97 Just for fun, I did. A university of Idaho study found that the average height of non-TE "skill position" players and defensive backs is between 71 and 75 inches, and the average weight is between 200 and 225 lbs. The lower end guys could almost certainly make 185, and the rest would easily make 205. And again, that's just the average skill position player and defensive back. Wes Welker was around 185 during his time in the NFL. Steph Curry is about 185 as well. If you don't think those kinds of guys could cut to 170, you're crazy. So while the big 3 sports wouldn't be churning out flyweights, 170 and up is absolutely reasonable. But why even bother when you can literally add additional zeroes to your bank account by doing something else? Also, while I appreciate your attempt at explaining why I thought the talent pool wasn't deep, the actual reason is because significant chunks of those cards have fighters whose names you won't know even if you watch every event. They might have a few fights, then they're gone. You don't see NFL teams replacing 43 of their 53 man rosters every single year, or NBA teams only retaining 2 or 3 starters and filling the rest with entirely new players. Sure, there's turnover, but nowhere near as much as MMA. That would suggest a relatively shallow pool of MMA talent.

@@zotmaster with more fighters in the ufc than in the NBA, i’d say its a deep enough roster. Just a vastly different sport than stick and ball sports. Longevity is much shorter and risk is much higher.
Apex cards are so lifeless. The crowd can definitely make a difference. I understand it from a money saving perspective but without a crowd you just have commentary. Which isn't great to begin with.
Apex is good for the ufc
I love how people complain about fighter pay but then also complain that there are too many events lol. What other combat sports organization pays hundreds of people every single weekend of the year? Everything thinks every fighter on the card should make 10 million like Fake Paul (0/1) and Mayweather and other famous boxers who literally only fight once a year from organizations that make events once or twice a year. So many poeple make their livelihoods through the UFC and not a single other organization can compare to the output.
Timing must not be your strong suit..just let em have a week jfc the last two ppvs were epic
The biggest thing for me is that most of these fight nights just don't have a crowd. They really don't need to be using the APEX for fight nights at all, they can easily sell out an arena of an 8-10k crowd at $30-150 tickets, it would also incentive them to have a few headlining fights for the fight nights to sell tickets. Not sure why they don't already do this given the fact that the WWE basically sells out 2 arenas a week, the demand is 100% there. I really think the APEX itself and not the frequency of the fight nights.
