Hello my fellow crafters
,
I've been absent for a while because I have been busy making this video for you. It took a while to conceptualize and figure out how to explain certain parts. There are countless bucket hat patterns out there. But what if I told you that you don't really need a pattern to crochet a simple bucket hat? That's right! You can pick out any yarn you want and make your own hat. Truly, any yarn, whether it be a sport weight, or worsted, or even bulky weight! It could be a chenille yarn, a cotton, or a fun novelty yarn! The options are endless. So don't be limited by a pattern, with what I will teach you in this video you will be able to make your own design.

So much good information in this video!!! Thabk you so much for sharing!! Also, you look great in BOTH hats ❤ If you do half or doubles in the round you can always end the brim by changing the eight of the stitch. For example, if you use hdc the last stitch can be a sc. If you use dc, make the following stitch a hdc and then lastly a sc.

Awww thanks! I’m glad you found it useful! I find too that this is the gateway to learning to design. Starting with bucket hats is such a great place. Thanks for the comment!

This was a great instructional video. I had to learn all this on my own but I can I appreciate how you put it all togther. I would just like to add that you can also do a round of single crochet between the increase rounds to manipulate the shape of the hat (I have a weirdly shapped head)! 😅

Thanks for adding that! Yes I like to do that too because I’m not a huge fan of the flat top on a hat.
