This was my first knitted project- i made a hat for my nephew for Christmas. Thanks for the pattern and the tutorial!
This is literally one of the best tutorials I have ever seen for a ribbed hat. Thank you!
It takes a special person to create stuff like this. Brought beautiful memories of my mother. She created beautiful doilies, bedspreads, sweaters etc.
Made two hats today using this pattern. Thank you for demonstrating it in such a clear and concise way!
finally finished my first project!! after knitting for like 10 years i’ve never finished anything and this tutorial made it super easy! thank you for sharing ❤️🫶🏻
Dear fellow beginners, you will need to know how to do a long tail cast on correctly first.also watch a slower video on how to do a knit and a purl stitch properly, then come back to this .happy kniting
Thank you ☺️ I'll be knitting this for the man in my life 😊 It looks very feasible and I'll be applying: knitting rib stitch in the round, making decreases, and using the magic loop technique all for the first time 😊
Just finished my first knitted hat. Your instructions were super clear and easy to follow. Thanks so much for sharing the tutorial❤
My first ever knitting project! I usually crochet but loved the ribbing on this hat so I had to try it out! So happy with it, thank you for the tutorial!! :)
Amazing tutorial thank you, short and sweet!
Wonderfully straightforward! Thank you
This will be my 1st project this Autumn. Thank you. Great video, as usual!

So easy to follow and so helpful! Thank you!!
It is very helpful. Thank you 👍
This is a great pattern , one other pattern on KZread uses ssk for the decrease rows and I haven't figured that out yet :-)
I know you probably won’t answer this but I want you to know that your tutorial is amazing! I got to finish knitting my first beanie in two weeks and I’m so happy! ❤ thank you for this video

How exciting! Congrats on finishing your first hat 🎉
Great tutorial 🥰
This is awesome!!! Thank you for the detailed instructions and free pattern! I subscribed!
I'm a beginner and this was my first time knitting in the round. The pattern and video together provide great instructions and I finished up with a great looking hat! The magic loop at the end was a little nerve wracking but it all came together nicely in the end (pun intended). Thanks for the pattern and new skills!
ThankYou,! Great pattern for we under -ten -year -knitters🤭
This was my first project. The brim is a little messy but it got better as I went. The big pattern is biiig
This is a great project and the tutorial is easy to follow! My only issue is that I made the small size with worsted weight yarn and it's super big and stretchy. I'm going to try again with DK weight. Thanks!

this was my first ribbed hat and somehow i knitted too loosely, so it stretches a lot. For a first attempt looks good though. Thanks for the pattern!
Can I use a different cast-on than the long tail? And, can I start with 32 inch needles?
Seems easy for me and I’m not that experienced in knitting. I have knitted hats and gloves before, maybe that is why. I liked this video very much. Thank you❤New Sub‼️
Very nice. TFS! ❤
If I want to use aran weight....how many more stitches per row does that require or what kind of gauge can i try to shoot for?
Thanks for the tutorial. I’m just a little confused. If the ribbing is the same throughout the hat, when the brim turns up, the ribs wouldn’t line up, as yours do. Did I miss something? Also, did you go up a needle size on the crown? Thanks.
How many stitches when using acrylic yarn?
What size circular needle do you use on this pattern of the hat
Thanks a lot Waÿ of Tutorial is v good
Would it work to knit the whole thing on the longer loop needles instead of transferring them in the middle?
How long should this take a beginner to knit?
Hi! Quick question. Can we start knitting with the longer circular needles? I'm worried I'll struggle switching to a different pair later on!
@Otto-rn4bj

That's what I did! I just did the magic loop throughout the whole project!
Could you mention what number knitting needles & kind of wool.
is that yarn flexible?? I don't speak English so I can't tell if you are using an specific type of yarn or if I can use any yarn from any store, thx for the tutorial and pattern btw!
How many stitches should we cast for an adult beanie while using needle no 10
How many stitches to cast on for medium?
I used a worsted weight yarn and tested my gauge and ended up with a hat far too large to fit anyone's head. I've done magic loop before and had no problem, but this time somehow I ended up with the stitch marker on the back needle and the working yarn on the front needle. I would have liked more detail in the video. I rewatched it many times and wished it didn't skip ahead so I could maybe figure out what I did wrong.
How can i find the pattern? Size of needles and thickness if yarn please?
can I knit this with fine yarn? (Sport weight)
Please help me I don't have extra pair of circular needles so I don't know how to close this hat
Thank you for the easy pattern. What happens when the length is longer than the intended length. How can you maneuver that

You would have to take out rows so that would mean ripping it back to remove them all the way back to before doing the crown shaping ( measure as you go ) depends o!n the recipients head size
Followed as instructed but my end count after working row 7 is 37. What am I doing wrong? By the way I’ve knitted the large.
@SpanishWonderbread

I also ended with 37 stitches on the large hat in row 7. I was just checking the comments to see if anyone else ran into this. :)
Hello! I followed your instructions and used all the equipment you listed. I'm only on the 4th row but so far the beanie looks like it would only fit an infant. Is that normal? This is my first attempt at knitting a beanie or using circular needles... Thank You!

So it actually turned out fine! I was using Lion Brand Fishermens wool going for adult size.. I'm on my second beanie project now with circular needles and I believe it just always looks smaller than what I think it should be in the beginning. Hi I don’t knit I crochet but want to try knitting. Is it necessary to have needles that connect with that tube thing or can I make this with just two separate needles?
@ainhoaslife1232
6 ай бұрын
It is not always necessary unless, for a few patterns, you can find other tutorials with just straight needles for this one🙂
I accidentally learned that 84 stitches is enough with US 10 (6mm) needles (i used 4 gauge yarn). I know a pattern for the stockinette stitch that only uses 84 stitches, which is what i used until i realized that pattern wouldnt work for the ending part, but at that point i was nearly halfway done the length so i wasn't going to restart with the proper stitch count, i figured that at worst it could just be a child's hat, but with the amount of stretch 84 stitches was plenty for my own head
Hello how many cast on for large adult size? Even on the written pattern it didn’t mention on how many cast on will you need if doing a small or large adult size

if i am using 6mm knitting needles how many stitches should I cast on
@ash-cc7ro

depends on the yarn and your gauge, as well as what size you’re making. as tedious as it is it’s probably best to just make a gauge swatch and then figure it out that way 😅

Can I do this with straight knitting needles?sorry I am a beginner and made the mistake of not purchasing circular needles 😭
@kahawit1783

if you want to knit in the roubd, you absolutely need circular needles, but if you want to make them flat, then u dont need
When I got to the reduction, I ordered circular needles long enough to make a small circle. I was knitting with 4mm needles. As I decreased the circle and pushed off the needle onto the smaller cable, the stitches became tighter on the cable so, when I got around to the other side of the circle the stitches on the cable were too tight to move up onto the needle again. I typically knit loosely so I'm not sure how this happened but now I am stuck with either reversing all the stitches or cutting the project off the cable. What a bummer!😢
@bhookedknitting

This is completely normal! As you decrease the number of stitches for the crown, eventually they won’t fit around the needle. So you should switch to a longer cord and use the magic loop technique for the crown, or you can use double pointed needles. I tend to prefer magic loop. I have a couple videos on how to do this if you want to check them out!
Starting Loop no?
i don't have big circular needles, what do i use instead? and how, because i have like,,,, 95% of the hat finished
If I only have the magic knitting needles, can I just use that?
@_borger

I'm wondering this too! I only have 36" circular needles (they're also 5mm, instead of 4.5mm). I could go out and buy some more, but I'd rather just use what I already have, if I can.
I’m a little confused… you cast on 100 stitches for an adult beanie? ( those are 100??!!)? Would this fit an adult male?
Is there a way to do this pattern I crochet?

One day I will find a video that literally explains everything you went to fast this is not meant for a beginner 😮
Really wanted to try this pattern to make a hat for my fiancé but sadly whenever I open the website after a few seconds it leads me to adult sites so it’s unusable very sad..

This shouldn’t be the case, and I’m scratching my head trying to understand how this has been your experience. Trying the link to the free pattern from multiple devices, I’m always directed to the free pattern on my website, and there’s no change to another site like you’re describing (nor should this ever be the case). It may be something with your browser, so my best advice would be to use an incognito window on your chrome browser if you want to try again.
Why does this make no sense

Nice video, but not really beginner. If use larger needles, will require less stitches. If you want easier, do straight knit. Can make with straight needles and stitch up seam.
