I get random sweating throughout the day and it's the peak of winter. Almost every night I wake up multiple times drenched in sweat. It's 68° F in my room. I'm on Wellbutrin and Cymbalta an NDRI and SNRI like the lecturer was talking about

Chlorpromazine blocks both alpha 1 and muscarinic receptors. Is that why it causes thermodysregulation. I think more people have hyperhydrosis but don’t report it, most people only complain about their top 2-3 most bothersome side effects even though they are experiencing more than reported.

Zoloft has a distinct scent 24/7 in sweat, especially night sweat, it's really a struggle! I hope to find out what to do to address the zoloft "scent" as hyperhydrosis only tx doesn't address that. Wanting to come home after 3 hours at work, not ideal, not the type of condition that a change of clothes helps its an all body experience 😪

My doctor was horrible to me when I complained about it he basically said reduce the dosage and be less well or put up with the sweating. I unfortunately hurt my spine badly and although I did physical work sweating was easier to explain and wipe away but now the only job I can do is retail work and I’ve been sacked on 2 occasions for sweating as customers complained and the employers both jumped to the same conclusion that I was a heavy drinker although I’m not and told me to deal with my obvious problem. I have to convince my doctor to prescribe something or I’ll never work again.

lynngroll1 I’m still struggling to hold down employment as retail aren’t happy with my sweating and I mentioned these 2 drugs to my GP but said he won’t prescribe due to being a test study so I’m seriously considering buying it online even if it is slightly illegal but I’ve found several sites who sell both and I already know a person who orders sedatives from that site and they are legit. I wouldn’t normally consider it but I’m getting desperate. Oddly when I was able to do physical jobs it wasn’t a big deal as a certain amount of sweat is acceptable and in a warehouse it’s easy to find ways of hiding or nipping off to the bathroom to dry myself but I’m fed up being humiliated whilst serving someone on a till and they look at me with disgust in their eyes at the sweat running off me even one day I actually ran out the shop. How about yourself are you able to hold down employment with this disability?

@@gazbrown23 I was finally able to get off of cymbalta and down to 1 100mg of Wellbutrin. I still have horrible sweats now and then! I also just found out that ibuprofen can make you sweat and itch terribly! I feel so bad for you because I know what it’s like to just stand doing hardly anything and sweat pouring off of you 😞The only thing that calms it down for me is a half of .05 Xanax. My doctor doesn’t give it to me sooooo..... I found other ways😉

I don’t sweat at night - but the moment the slightest activity or social anxiety starts I’ll start dripping and it’s just got worse over time. Becoming really socially debilitating as even just walking down the road I’ll look like I’ve just been doing hill sprints. It’s not even profuse sweating from armpits or palms it’s full on the top of the head down, the arms the legs everything
