What bull shit who make money
There is a lot of evidence from preclinical studies, numerous case reports and some small clinical trials that medical ketogenic diet addresses the metabolic root cause of ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. There is evidence that a ketogenic intervention is much more powerful than medical interventions that always have strong side effects and can even worsen metabolic functioning of patients. Research for ketogenic interventions is limited by funding of studies because of lack of interest of pharmaceutical companies. What is worrying is that publicly funded studies are even being actively hindered by putting pressure on universities not to carry out relevant research. Some weeks ago, an important and innovative trial at the School of Medicine of the University of Maryland was shut down without viable reason. Luckily, there is a strong interest of patients and psychiatrist which will lead to further trials and clinical results that underlines the importance of Metabolic Psychiatry. @s

Thank you so much. I feel so misunderstood and alone. I was just recently diagnosed with bipolar two and I keep seeing things on the Internet about mania and that sounds wonderful compared to what I have going on. I wish I had that. My mania is being competent. I barely get any of the highs. All Im getting is neutral and then all the lows. Deep deep lows. And it can take a few small things to get me there. I constantly battle depression though anxiety has been reduced mightily by medication. Now Im 34 and I have just been diagnosed with bp2 and I am learning about it. Trying to understand it and I can say it is honestly very miserable. I am envious of BiPolar 1. I wish I could fly like that. Ive always walked in the shadow of suicide, its always lurked around me and I am a drag to those around me. The only reason Im still alive is because of my sheer rebelliousness, my hatred of surrender and my responsibility to my family. I am awfully tired of this malfunction. This ineptitude, I want mania, I want something to look forward too but I dont even get that…
Hi there, these short videos are great for highlighting the topic. Do you have full lectures surrounding approaches to psychopharmacology for providers?
Seconded
Thirded lol😂
Yes! The full-length hour long lecture is available on our website. Just create a free guest account to watch the full thing here: nei.global/goldberg-encores Lecture titled “In the Mood: Optimal Treatments for Bipolar Disorder” presented by Joseph F. Goldberg, MD
@@neipsychopharm thank you very much for your reply! Have a great day.
atomoxetine gave me depression
The music sucks ass
Do u think lamictal +Prozac would be a good combination for treatment resistant depression??
I have treatment resistant depression. Literally tried everything, had Ketamine infusions even 12 rounds of ECT. Nothing helped, I was at the end of my rope. Did some research and asked my doctor about Prozac and Olanzapine combo. Was put on it and it’s the only drugs that helped me. Worth a try.
Where can we find the full length Lecture?
You can watch the full lecture by creating a free NEI guest account here: nei.global/free-encore Lecture titled, "You Can Hurry Drugs: Rapid-Acting Antidepressants, Treatment Resistance, and Neuroplasticity".
Free radicals 😂 Brilliant
"you messah wif my serotonin, I GROW YOU MORE RECPTORS!!" lmfaooooo... writing a paper on the mechanism/ pathway of LSD and I needed to hear this lol
The opposite of those stingy MORs
That jacket button is holding on for dear life!
So how do we fix it?
So Bupropion and Agomelatine the most effective for anhedonia?
Thanks
This is the most South Park thing I have ever seen
I have seen very little efficacy in oharmocological interventions. While there some instances where there are marked improvements in a number of metrics, more often you have some mild improvement in a few areas with significan imparement in others. And in some cases severe imparement with increased symptoms. And we know that the studies are insentivised to sell the drugs. The opiate lawsuits revealed a lot if these practices in that area, and by the same companies selling, producing, and studying these other psychiatric 'medicines'. And even where they are effilective, they are not part of a holistic treatment that includes the necessary cognitive treatment/education that actually results in lasting improvement in behavior and emotional stability.
You know what’s proven to work better than any medicine, exercise! Literally out performs ever drug on the market. Stop selling ppl shortcuts, it’s a failed strategy for a vast majority of people
AHAHAHAHA WTF THATS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED 😐
Whoever made this, you are awesome. Please never change❤
Me can't sleep while night
I'm present 😮
It is impossibly genius to write such a song on this theme! Bravo!
Interesting, I’m like 100% euphoric in my mania. Unless somebody aggravates me but I spring back to euphoric almost immediately. But I come from a family with about as much bipolar as the Hemingways haha, but we are all lithium responders which is nice. Interestingly something else that has made a world of difference for me is spironolactone, just for whatever it’s worth. I suspect because it lowers aldosterone which is elevated during mania.
Diet restrictions overblown. Im on 80mg Parnate twice a day- total 160mg a day + 70 mg of vyvanse and have no side effects now at all. Maybe dry mouth from the vyvanse mainly. The only thing that requires caution is orthostatic hypOtension- lasts maybe 2 months until you reach optimal dose and pressure socks help a bit- occasionally you forget its especially an issue if you get out of a car quickly and try to cross a busy road 😬
That is a massive dose - what mg of vyvanse did you start on?
@@brandoncrooks1681 60mg I think
Midnight CBD mints keep my breath fresh all day long! #midnightcbd
Vmat2 responsible for religious beliefs right? Why would u block that lmao. This is evil
This vid has the sound vibe of a Mega church not a sober institutional gathering. Did not bring my checkbook however.
Did this gentlemen break his top button?
I have ever comorbidity he listed 😂
Cant believe he has an OF
I feel it when it starts to "wear off" especially
Same with antidepressants. Nothing is perfect lol
What should I do if my insomnia has lasted multiple years with no sign of getting better
Interesting video
when I had mine, I could feel it in my lower back especially. Just like how this guy described his 'trunk'. It occurred for me after I was in the ER and given IV COMPAZINE. This was back in 2012, im very quick to mention this and any kind of dopamine antagonists as drug allergies for me, and don't ever want to go through that again. It lasted, to my knowledge, months. I think though the 'acute' effects of that IV Compazine wore off within 48 hrs. I was given benzodiazepines to take and remain in bed. And basically you just want to fall asleep with the help of medications and not be conscious for the 1st stage of it. You will writhe in your bed. It's a DEEP unsettling restlessness. You physically feel it taking over all your nerves and it is also called DYSPHORIA. The fucking ER doctor that gave it to me was a straight up QUACK. She said it was 'off label for nausea' after I had to come back to the ER again and see her, 30 min after leaving, right about the time it kicked back in. She had given me a spinal tap for a migraine ER visit one time. Very odd and probably reckless doctor. She said she was checking for meningitis at that time. Having gotten my vaccination for my university, years prior, I don't see how this was medically necessary.
Vid. Wax. To short
Lol I love that!
Is it just me or does Stahl get you aroused?
Having a PD sucks.
Bc it's from a parasitic infection from a hate crime. N Dr's are trained to teach me that I'm crazy instead of test me for it they insult my intellect. I hate life bc of them they are evil
Por Dios!!! Subtítulos en español!!!
Why is this not known by adults, minors?
funny how this video originally presented to doctors at a conference somehow hit the right KZread algorithm keywords and is being presented to people to whom this makes no sense 😅
How many of these people might have an undiagnosed disability?
Narcolepsy
Eureka!
no question asked about dependency and withdrawals mm
