I'm 80 and that is a very unflattering haircut. All the good I can say is it's neat and easy to keep.

Well, I may be forced to start a new trend among us ‘gently aging’ ladies and start shaving my head bald!☺️ I too am thinning on top-or as the last stylist put it “Yes, you sure are shedding!” Oh, yeh? Well, gee, thanks SO much, fella. His name just shot to the top of my Christmas card list for sure. Does he actually think that customers don’t notice when their hair is falling out?? grrrrrrr

Wow, that music and the l enthusiasm of time she took to cut it, drive me to anxiety!!

Not the least bit flattering or feminine. Like most hair cutters, you just don't know when to stop. I hope she lets it grow out a bit and then finds another cutter.

I am 83 years old with silver hair. Went through time of losing hair over 2 years ago. Medication and special shampoo has taken about 18 months for new hair to grow back Thank God for His blessing. My first hair cut in two years was 2 months ago. I went with medium length BOB., about chin length. I plan to have it trimmed every 4 to 6 weeks. I am so happy with my beautican. If somebody had given me such a short cut At my age I would have begun crying before she was finished. I hope that lady wanted it soo short.

Je pense que c'est pour facilité le coiffage...J'ai demandé à la coiffeuse une coupe similaire quand je suis partie me faire opéré, en général j'ai les cheveux sur les épaules. C'est vrai que ça a mis du temps à repousser. J'aimais pas vraiment mais voilà...On peut dire oui ou non, il faut regarder les photos avant et choisir, ils ont un book pour nous dire se qu'on aimerait faire...❤

I am not a pixie person due to my mother getting them for me for a yr. or so in a cheap hair salon in N.C. when I was a kid; us not knowing back then how to stop the cycle to grow them out. They were done real fast with a razor & wound up w. my hair looking hacked off & it being really close to my head. This wonderful hair technician did a fantastic job creating a precision-cut pixie with the scissors instead of hacking away with a razor, resulting in a healthy-looking (not end-splitting razor) voluminous almost bob-like pixie that looks clean-lined and healthy, & easy to grow out if the customer so wishes. Wonderful job making dark grey hair look so stylish on Tarantula Channel! Go Tarantula!

I’m 71 and just got my second undercut pixie. The secret to looking fabulous is having a talented stylist. My hair is white/gray and very curly. My first pixie was shaved underneath like this one and short curly on top. I had to have the short shave underneath due to a skin condition I developed after a hospitalization. My son had already shaved it short from the bottom to mid back of the head so she had to match it. I let it grow out substantially. This time she left the undercut longer and the curly top longer. It is beautiful. And feminine.

This Stylist is very good at haircutting. This Style however would Look much better on a young and very slim Woman with a Long Neck. The older woman's head and Neck Look heavy and square

Again, agree. A ‘modern’ hairstyle doesn’t necessarily cause an older client to look younger. This is too short for this particular woman. Needs more feminity and softness.

All women look the same with these short cuts..puts you into a definite category....not for those who want a youthful look....short hair accentuates all facial features including things we don't like.

This haircut showcases a precise, stark, haircut. That’s all. No hair styling, or customization for that particular woman. A. She might have studied this woman’s square jaw, no makeup whatsoever, and very little jewelry; Then considered, “I may want to add some soft, feminine touches to this hairstyle to bring UP her feminine factor.” B. I did this exact haircut on my son’s lush blond hair when he was a pre-teen years ago. It’s a great haircut for BOYS. Too mannish on a senior woman. C. Lastly, perhaps some streaks of color in the front wedge of hair could add some pizzazz and femininity.

I'm 72 and I would never get this haircut. To me it's more for younger people. It makes you look older when it's to short. I do like the hairdresser.

It looks nice but as a retired hairdresser I would say a soft neckline too...I actually liked it before she took the Clippers and cut the wisps off...same with sides....but it does look nice... Since she is a Sr citizen...I think she May have liked it a little more "styled"

Yes, let’ make boys out of girls and make old women look ancient. More mature women already do not feel as feminine and their jowls ae dropped, cheek bones no longer well defined, neck is wrinkled. This is the worst cut of all for older women. I hope every hair stylist who ever did this to an older woman has it done to her when. She is older. …and DIE watching it grow out because the hair grows slower and thinner as we age.

The haircut was not flattering for her she needed a little more style it was too slick down like a man

Agreed-if she wanted a pixie I think it was really well done. But I think a more feminine and longer loose and swingy short bob would have been much more flattering. I am not a fan of pixies personally-if someone really wants one, I think a shortish, wispy, face-framing, layered "shag" is better.

Normally when you ask for a pixie hair cut you asking for this a lots of textured, so you have to use thinning sheers if you ask for this hair cut is because you want something to play with and move around so to get to this target you got to use point cut, thinning sheers, some times razor depending of what tape of hair cut you asking. Another thing some times the client is asking for this, this is why we have something call consultation before the service 😊

Perfect for anyone with a flawless jawline, neck, back, shoulders and the face of a 20-year-old, with a body to match. For anyone else it's a ridiculous idea! And of course, the right texture of hair so it goes into place after washing, with almost no effort. For me, with curly hair, it takes 7 hrs. to get my hair straight and presentable for a week of work, where I wear a headset which is on and off about 30 times a day!

If I go to the hairdressers and they a. get the shears out b. angle the scissors to give me a V shape over the ear ..I stand up and leave and I don't care if my hair is wet.

That lady's haircut has a lot more hair then I have. My hairdresser use's a 1 1/2 blade back,,and sides and cuts about 1 to 2 inches on the top. And my age 76 years old.

Many/most of the hairstyles we see advertised today are the ‘shag’ cut from years ago-think of the ‘Jane Fonda Vietnam War’ hairstyle. It is various lengths of hair all over the head. Maybe the promoters of that style were out of new ideas and decided to resurrect the shag but needed a new name for it. Anyway, I don’t like it on me. I am 74 yrs old, multi-grey and way too thin for that baloney. The kind of cut that is comfortable on me is one which requires precision scissors cutting, not just whacking away from any angle and at various scruffy lengths. My preferred style is easy to handle, to brush, and to curl the ends under with an iron. However, the ends must have a very well done undercut or this won’t work. Now what’s so difficult about that?
