I don't understand why everyone thinks older women have to have short hair. I'm 67 and had waist length hair until cancer took it all. Now it's short for time being. But I will be growing it long again

@@karlacosare9013 I'm in remission now thanks to amazing Dr's. But it was huge shock shaving all my hair off after it being long for over 40yrs. Lucky it will grow long and again and I will stay in remission

I felt so bad for the woman. She looked much better with her longer hair. All the Stylist had to do was trim a little. I kept thinking when is she going to stop she kept cutting and cutting. Older women wants to look and feel like a beautiful Lady not an old man

The whole thing for me is, will she be able to style it herself at home? I don’t think so. I wouldn’t choose this cut for that reason. The other thing - a LOT of women have this style. I don’t want to look like a lot of other women.

Exactly, I had that for a while and it was horrible as I didn't have time to style it daily. This is actually not an easy style to maintain. Go really short or go really long.

I have the same haircut and at 75 it's the easiest to style. The bangs are too heavy for her otherwise thumbs up

Reason I have longer hair is that when you can’t be bothered styling you just put it in a bun or ponytail😂😂

And it wasn't even a bob. It was like two totally different styles grafted together. A short layed wedge cut in the back and an unangled (agree with you - dowdy) bob on the sides and front. ?!?!?

She just couldn't stop wacking. She messed her head up and had it uneven then tried to put a little curl and body in it to hide it. Definitely wouldn't let her near my hair.😮

Its a good cut but not sure its suited for her. I think it should have been left a little longer.

I'm growing mine at 75 years old. No hairdresser for me until it's much longer. Cut it short and have regretted it ever since.

That haircut made her look 10 years older not 10 years younger

This is horrible! The same happened to me. A hairdresser literally gave me a cut like this, said it was "age appropriate", I left there looking like a dude and an old house frail. Thank God my hair grows fast. It is the way you style your hair and carry yourself that will make you look younger.

This is a typical “old lady” cut. It didn’t make her look younger. She should have kept her long hair!

The only way to make her look 10 years younger is to cover up the gray hair, don't cut it too short and put a little bit of makeup on her. Definitely get rid of the gray hair, because gray hair makes you look 20 years older than what you are.

Basically you did a fairly good style cutting it. But you just couldn’t stop until you screwed it up. And your rendition of “the mop” really didn’t make her look younger; more like she’s given up on looking elegant or sophisticated as befitting her age. Yes, I’m criticizing. Take it to heart instead of getting your nose out of joint.

I was thinking this stylist doesn't know when to stop and IMO the ends were starting to look like a paintbrush!

Not a becoming style and does not look good on most people. Works for a young pretty face with smaller features, but that's about it.

I'm old. I have hair beyond my waist. It's Grey and much thinner than it used to be. Sometimes, I wear it loose and style it, but most of the time, it's in a long side braid with wispy bangs and side tendril curls. Easy peasy.

She gave her a very skilled haircut:) I think it turned out great! Although my hair looks best with a short cut and that’s the way I wore it most of my life because of my occupation in the health field. Covid allowed me to get through the awkward stages to grow it out and now I love being able to put it up or pull it back when I want to get it off my neck and face. But the truth of the matter is I need to get it styled as it’s curly/wavy and kind of out of control. Lol

Her hair is very straight, it hangs perfectly, excellent cut , the top and sides have flow and movement , the heat element is easy , she just tucked the ends down, I think the style slenderize her face nicely. She probably didn't want it dyed it can ruin the texture of your hair . I think the lady was very pleased .

Great cut! This client has gorgeous hair naturally. I liked it best at the pre-hair spray stage. Its so shiny and swingy without the spray.

The stylists skulls need further training. Had something similar done to my hair by a friend who used to be a hair stylist....it was bldy awful snd the back of my hair looked like birds nest every morning.

If someone says mid-cut, "you can go shorter", it means, "you are butchering my hair so keep cutting until you get it right."

The women I've seen on KZread hacking off their hair should see this. It's an art.

@@squeint @signaturesalon_tn Ich. No they didn't. the cut was horrible. It was like 2 different styles grafted together. There was all that layering in the back that went up way too high and flattened the back of her head. Which would have been fine is the sides were cut to go with it. But the sides were left without layering and closer to one length. So, flat in back, puffed out and shapeless on the sides, and because of the one length puffed out at the sides, even though a shorter cut - it didn't give the face a "lift" like a shorter cut is intended to do. It's actually hard to tell if it improved the woman's look because they didn't show a before and after. I can't for the life of me understand why she butchered the back like that if she wasn't going to carry through with a style that blends on the sides and front. And the back just layed weird. I'm thinking it will (hopefully) look better if the woman just lets it air dry. All of the flat ironing made it look dowdy.

I went from the bottom of my bra to the nape of my neck in an angled bob that came down to my collar bone. It's already grown out 6". I totally understand why she wanted it shorter!

my great grandmother had waist long hair and wore it in a distinguished bun. I saw her with her hair down ONE time...and for a second I could invision her as a younger woman...I bet she could too. I think that this generation should STOP shaming older women into these short manly styles.

Beautiful, incredible condition of hair! I don't understand why the stylist cut the back twice, and wore her fingers out on allllllllll those seemingly unnecessary snips, but the end result was a great style. It'll be better for the client when it grows out a bit. And not to return (at least to this stylist) for another 6-8 months!
