Stop making me miss my RAV4 lol...I still have a set of aftermarket clear bumper lights in my closet. Also, one mod I did was to put the rear wiper from a 01-07 Highlander, it fits right on and looks better.

@@NickAlexander_is_Awesome About the same, no issues putting it on. I haven't owned my RAV4 in awhile, but I bought the wiper brand new while those Highlanders were on the market. Perhaps these can be found in a junkyard if any old HL has even made it there yet, which I sort of doubt.

I own a 1994 RAV4 3 door, and your videos have been invaluable for various projects on my car! So far I've upgraded the headlights, front bumper, tail lights, wipers/headlight stalk, added a lift kit, and swapped in power windows, mirrors and door locks. Love this little car! Thanks for all the tips!

This is only my 2nd time seeing Paul's videos. Having just bought a 1999 Rav4, with LOTS of small issues, Paul's work is EXACTLY what I need. The previous owner did lots of goofy things. Like using a pocket knife to open the gas door !! Now it has lots of scratches. I will be actually FIXING the issues.

Man. You have been so much help! Got a 97 4door. Head gasket Intake gasket Injectors Timing set Wire repair on those pesky wires under the intake aka lengthen and reroute. Replaced the missing intake support. Replacing the keyless entry not gonna let it crank it thing. And other associated things along they way. Four wheel brake job. But the pedal seem hard until the brakes get hot. But harden back up when cold. Booster has passed the three usual tests. All calipers and rear brake pusher outers work. All the brakes were worn basically to metal. Probably master cylinder. And those lugs are over kill I think. Thanks for all the help!

Another great video! Excellent info on the antenna 👍 BTW, at least on the 1998 to 2000, to replace the rear side marker lights just remove the rear wheel well liner, there is no need to remove the bumper.

Great walkthrough, thanks LCP! Another thing I’ve been wanting to do now that it’s Winter is fog lights. I wish Toyota still offered the OEM ones the people at RAV4World have posted over the years, some of them were pretty cool and well-placed without being detrimental to the overall style.

Nice series! I love the attention to detail, I try to give that same detail to my 2002 Highlander although she's a "20-footer" unlike your RAV lol. I think some 1999-2003 RX300 (5-spoke) or 2001-2007 Highlander 16" (6-spoke) wheels would pretty cool. 16x6.5" like the RAV ones but they do however have an offset of 35 vs 45, they're designed for the long lug nuts and still sit tucked in enough on my friend's 3rd gen RAV. Good find on the LSD, I've been trying to find one for my Highlander still, already got sent 4 open diffs so far though :(

For the center bore, just get adaptor rings. I had the same problem with some wheels i bought for my Rav4 last year and thats how i fixed it. If i am not mistaken, i think they are called hub centering rings and they basically bridge the gap beetween the wheel ID and the actual diameter you need. The one i got are plastic and i thought it would be too flimsy at first but they work great, super good feel. Also, i didn’t get a good look at the stud holes on your wheels but they looked like they needed flat seat or mag seat lug nuts. Maybe the ones you had were just not the proper size. Be careful as running conical nuts on a wheel with flat seat isn’t very safe 😬

I've found that Rust_O cans are drastically affected by low temperatures. Paint can pressure will drop as the paint is expelled and the temperature of the contents cools because of the decompression of the propellant. The instructions include temperature application guidelines. Too low of a temperature and the propellant will be ineffective. The paint will just dry more slowly. as well. You could gently warm the can with your hands. (This is typically what happens when you periodically shake the can during use). Applying heat higher than typical summer weather could result in a burst can and all that goes with that. Be smart. Kry_L paints are easier to use than Rust_O. The "satin" finish is nice and looks like OEM paint.

It'll be the top rear diff housing mounting bracket. It's got rubber in it & they perish over time - gotta remember, these Ravs are getting on now.... Plenty of videos on U tube on how tofix the problem. Paul has done an excellent one on this issue. Basically the original Toyota part/diff mounts were perhaps a bit soft OR O.K. in their younger days..... Check out Pauls video list.....

My father replaced the water pump on our 1998 toyota rav4 and it developed some wierd grinding noise but no metallic peaces came up in the coolant when we changed the old plastic thermostat housing with an autozone aluminum thermostat housing. Just yesterday that grinding all of a sudden got really bad lasted for about a min grinding that badly and then suddenly the grinding stopped and the engine stalled. Oh no. All the coolant spilled onto the floor as soon as the grinding stopped and the engine stalled.

It sounds like the water pump broke and the timing belt jumped off. I've learned not to use Autozone parts. Just pay a little more and get the Aisin water pump from Toyota. Then you won't have this problem where the car breaks and you have to re-do your work.

@@LabCoatPaul As far as I understand aluminium (aluminum) adapters are susceptible to galvanic corrosion so there is possibility to stick onto the hub. I had plastic ones on my aftermarket wheels without problems, some do say they tend to melt - probably it has to do with usage (racing maybe?) and type of plastic.
