I had Falken Wildpeak tires installed and those tires coupled with the four wheel drive make it and excellent combination on poorly maintained dirt roads. I only have one complaint which is that part of the sunroof mechanism rattles when driving on bumpy roads. I will be driving that car for a long time!

TPMS just saved me buying a new 235/45-R17 tire. I had just driven 100 miles without any issue, and when I wanted to drive again 2 hours later, the TPMS went off and said the pressure was only 9 psi in the rear right tire, which I couldn't see when walking to the car. The culprit was a 3 inch long 1/4" screw with broken off head. I got the tire plugged from outside with one of the illegal shoestring plugs and drove 200 miles home, and thnks to TPMS, I could see that the pressure followed the other rear tire.

The insurance company wrote it off because it cost more to replace that glass than the car was worth.

So long as there’s no rust a Crown Vic is a LOT of car for the money. I just bought a ‘97, last year of the “Aero” body Crown Vics. It rides like a Lincoln! But also has one of the most dependable engines Ford ever built in it. And if something does go wrong, they’re extremely easy to fix - and cheap too! Mine had an alternator fail during a 2500 mile road trip. I fixed it in the hotel parking lot with a $10 set of WalMart wrenches! You cannot go wrong with a Crown Vic, especially the civilian models that haven’t been idled for thousands of hours.
