The morning sickness is wayyyyy worse, but I have had hypermesis gravidarum with all my pregnancies and I know that’s not what most women experience. I’m 27 weeks into this pregnancy now and still throwing up, but still enjoying this sweet spot before I get big, big 😂. I did EC and cloth diapers with my previous and loved it! The transition to using the potty was pretty seamless. Now my oldest is almost 3 and goes to the bathroom completely independently- just runs to the bathroom, climbs on, goes, flushes, washes hands and comes out saying “all better!” 😂 Wishing you a healthy and joyful rest of your pregnancy and amazing, gentle birth!

My first pregnancy was a dream. No discomfort whatsoever. I even went on a week-long hiking trip in the moutains at 7 months and was hiking the day before I gave birth. The second pregnancy was awful. I ended up having an emergency c-section at 28 weeks and my baby stayed in the NICU for 2 months... I wish you the best and hope you can have the birth you want.

Morning sickness for sure for me… I had hyperemesis tho so I know some ppl don’t feel sick at all… but for me once I get through the sickness, then pregnancy has been great. Best of luck for your birth Hannah… like you, I was always so excited and enjoyed all 4 of my births… such a special time for your family. I hope Cosmo just adores being a big bro 🥰 Oh… also!!! The exact same thing happened to me on my last birth that happened to your friend… I was listening to lots of podcasts about free births and thought it sounded so cool but would never had had the guts to do one intentionally and as it happened I had an accidental one…. The midwives arrived about 5-10 mins after baby arrived. It was bliss!

Yup. I have 3 and I’ve neverrrr and will never do “sleep training” babies are just as human as us and we can’t make yourselves sleep when/if we aren’t tired, and babies soo brand new to the world have so many more reasons they’re not gonna come out and just know to sleep at night, plus so many reasons why it’s beneficial for them to wake frequently, and be right next to mom. We bedshare from birth as well. My 11mo and almost 4 year old still sleep in my bed and 50/50 on when my 7yr old even still likes to sleep in my husband and I bed.

Morning sickness is the worst for sure! and we did EC and cloth diapers since 5 weeks old. I think cloth diapering and EC go really well together. We potty trained my son at 18 months and no doubt EC helped because he already knew what the potty was for, wasn't afraid of public restrooms and had the awareness already

Hey hannah! We did EC with our first, he stopped pooping in his diaper with 9 months which was great. No diaper maybe like 1,5 to 1 and 8 months(?). This is also were I got pregnant again so that time is a little blury! With my second boy it has been a little more difficult to do EC (I hope it will be easier in the summer!) He is 15 months and has these rare moments of potty use, and now I really know why I was so happy about the pooping on the potty at 9 months. !! I wish you all the best❤

I am 34 weeks now and so far third trimester has been the best! The nausea of the first trimester was awful but luckily only lasted a few weeks for me. The exhaustion is what killed me and it did not go away until about week 30. Second trimester energy was a lie for me unfortunately, but glad I have some energy now to get things done.

I just wanted to say, to all the parents out there who are struggling with sleep (or lack thereof) with their littles: sleep is super important for everyone, and you aren’t a bad parent for wanting (needing) a good night’s sleep when baby’s tiny. Yes, babies need 1-2 night feeds until 9 months, but they are capable of sleeping more than an hour or two consecutively before that. Co-sleeping is great, and if parents and baby are able to co-sleep and sleep well, then keep doing what works. But if baby is waking up every 1-2 hours, night after night, that isn’t just poor sleep for parents, that’s poor sleep for baby. And parents who are sleep deprived aren’t going to be able to give baby as much loving care as parents who are well slept. There is nothing wrong with sleep training (either “no-cry” methods or cry-it-out methods) baby after 4 months. You aren’t a bad parent for doing so. In fact, you are a parent who cares about her baby’s health, and the health of the household as a whole. I know a lot of parents feel guilty for sleep training infants, but prioritising everybody’s sleep is nothing to feel guilty about.

I never had any morning sickness. My 3rd trimester was the worst. I had carpal tunnel, which made it impossible to get a good night sleep. That was probably the worst part of my pregnancy. I watched a Dr. Greggor video that said to eat dates in the 3rd trimester so I blended them up in a smoothie daily (even though I don't like them) because I believed it would speed up my birth.... and I had a 3 hour labor. I'm not sure if that was all me sending fast vibes to the baby like you said, or the dates working their magic. Good luck to you with your birth. :-)

I did elimination communication with my babies! My first born wasn't pooping in diapers by the time he was 6 months old (we started from birth!) I actually heard about EC from your sister when she made a video about cloth diapering. I looked into it after her mention.. I was pregnant at the time and I was like YES 100% that's what I'll be doing. It just makes so much sense!

I had my daughter at 19, was very much not planned. I left her dad when she was a baby. Forward 20yrs later, I am now 39 my daughter 20 this year. I have been with my partner for 12yrs, we decided to try for a baby 6yrs ago, we tried and tried but I could not get pregnant. Recently we have come to find I'm as fertile as a 20yr old but my partner can not have children. To say I'm heartbroken is an understatement. I can't get my head around that I will never have another child. But it just makes me treasure my daughter all that bit more 🥰

I have a very sensitive stomach, and especially when im pregnant! When im pregnant and in my first trimester i will throw up daily.... "only" 3ish times on a good day, and on a bad day, its not unheard of for me to throw up 7 or 8 times. SO first trimester is quite gnarly for me.

I did EC with both my kids. I lived in ukraine at that time and the winters are cold there. Nonetheless it was successful with both my girl and boy. After 1 year old they didn’t need any security staff. They just let me know when they needed to. I would think the only problem here is social acceptance. Nobody doing it in USA. I ever had to put a diaper in the swimming pool on my daughter at 2 years old, because staff in the pool didn’t believe me that she was potty trained. Only after several time my daughter asked me to go to the bathroom they let me take it of of her. I was kind of frustrated at that time. She didn’t have accidents for more than a year at that point. 🤪

Hannah what you experienced is normal. Being woken up by your toddler/baby every two hours. It is hard but it is just how your Boy sleeps. Tandem breastfeeding is HARD. It will be harder. My two year old is very jealous and the girls few weeks were emotionally exhausting. It was nothing that I was expecting. Two children are waking each other up. My two year old wants to best feed everytime the Baby wants to And breastfeeding the older one felt odd from one day to another. I felt angry, sad and guilty all at once. Breastfeeding both at the same time is a feeling I can't stand to this day. But Hannah! Please follow your heart. Don't forget Cosmo is still your baby even he seems to be the big one when baby is there. His needs will be the same. Don't sleep train him. Please don't....

I despise morning sickness. My 1st and 2nd pregnancies were the most diff from each other and they were both girls. My 3rd was more like my 1st and he was a boy. I didn’t find out any of their genders til birth. I’m 38+2 with my 4th and we did find out the gender. It’s a boy, so 2 girls, 2 boys.

I have precipitous births. It has its pros and cons for sure. My 1st was a scheduled cs for breech. My 2nd was a hwbac with an LM and only 3 hours. So freaking intense, I never wanted to do that again. My 3rd was born 6 years later, with a CNM, hospital waterbirth, 1 hour but not intense at all. I barely had labor symptoms as I had dilated way ahead of labor. My secret is…I have a connective tissue disorder 🤣 I do still eat the dates and all but 🤷🏻‍♀️ My sister had two long labors (53+ hours, 24+ hours) then she had her 3rd in 4 hours. Biggest baby she had (over 9lbs, 42 weeks). She said she’ll take long labors any day over the short one. Lol
