I've been planning on re-painting a Hekate statue to add my own personal touch to it and had NO idea how to go about doing so! And another trick for the sticky pages, is to scrub an old candle on the page when everything is dry. Work fabulously 👌🏼👌🏼

Your hair is amazing! Loving the gradient. I totally support the workable fixative solution. I do this with my art books and it also helps mitigate my nicer color pencils from smearing. I painted one statue for my altar and you are right. Never underestimate the power of layering your paint. I will say if you go with the hairdryer approach to dry it, be careful how close you bring it to the paint. The colors can change slightly due to the heat of the dryer. Depending on the pain it may not give you a look you like in the end. Love the layering tips. They are so easy and yet we tend to not think about them. This was an awesome video! Love how inspiring and encouraging you are!

I use water paints as I haven't transformed to other sorts of paints yet. But may be one day but I feel more comfortable with the water paints. I learnt alot from watching your past videos instead of using old books I bought a sketch book and that is my magical journal. I just recently bought some tracing paper and I have been tracing something on to the paper then glue it into my journal. Mind you I am on my third Sketch book. I like to try different ideas. And thank you for this very informative video and you suit that hair color. Stay safe and Blessed be.

In my experience, waterpaints are very hard to work with, I think because you adjust color and consistency using water. So basically it is more of an art form as you are creating the paint you use.

This video was really useful! There are a lot of things about the art world that isn't outright stated so it's really troublesome for the self taught folks to understand why things work the way they do.

You can get acrylic sealant to stop the sick page thing if you are using glossy acrylic paints. I find that if you use a Matte mod podge, it kind of seals itself!

I've heard of using wax to keep pages from sticking together...that may be an option somebody resonates with 🙂 The waxy coating and feel...also the look it gives may just be what somebody's looking for...just rub a candle or chunk of wax of your choice over the art piece as thick or thin as you'd like and stickiness is gone 💫

Hey, I would love to put in some flowers and plants that I find outside in my grimoire. Do you have any tips on how to press and handle flowers? I've seen some use washi tejp and others use glue etc. Thanks for a good video. 💖

Wax paper is a good way to keep them from sticking just decorate it with markers

To get rid of the stickiness of the pages with a very simple and very pleasant smell. USE A BABY POWDER or best use a NUDE POWDER or TRANSLUCENT POWDER it works like magic!

Molly! I have been following for years and I am so glad to FINALLY know what Gesso it! LOL Would it or the spray paint be a good option to prevent bleed though? I have beautiful grimoire but the pages are so thin and anything and everything bleeds through on to the page behind it. I've used those bleed throughs in pages if they have similar information, but its not always possible :P
