As a Virgo stellium "relax, play" is not my default setting. I recently bought all kinds of art supplies and was like "OK let's go embrace imperfection!" and immediately got paralyzed and depressed and embraced nothing. So thank you for this video and the reminder not to take all this so seriously.

Venus in Virgo here - it took me many years to realize that my natural creative "play" looks different than most people's. (I've been neat & precise even as a child.) Embracing imperfection is a gradual process. Forcing yourself to be messy can actually be counterproductive, because it goes against our instincts. Try out different techniques to find what makes you slide into your happy place. Maybe it's not splashing paint with abandon. Perhaps you'd be happier drawing intricate patterns, or carefully arranging collage pieces. Not because it's "serious business", but because beauty and order bring you pleasure. Fun is so relative! Keep exploring, and don't worry about being an "uptight Virgo". Lots of folks envy our effortlessly precise aesthetic 😉

Watching Molly's Video does so much for healing my inner child, which as a recovering fundamentalist (Happy Shiny People Doc) is very tricky. Just hearing her voice and seeing the colors brings me so much needed acceptance and validation to my little artistic being inside. Anyone else feel/exeprinece this deep generational healing when you see the splashes of vibrant mediums andd textures all around her? I really struggle to intergrate inner child work because of my upbringing (as most people do). Molly's video are instant "safe spaces to be creative" for me.

As a late diagnosed AuHD. Thank you sooo much for this video. I struggle sooo much with making things, my art, my craft, and myself perfect that it’s left me stagnant and sad. I’ve been trying to come out of a grayscale shell I didn’t even realize I was living in. I remember being as full of color and wonder as you are once in my life and it’s hard to realize I’d fallen so far. Thank you. For existing and for sharing. Thank you for reminding me of how I used to actually see the world.

Yes yes yes, all of the yeses! I also had a love/hate relationship with my magickal books and had gone back to them so many times over the decades because they weren't making me feel "worthy" enough to call myself a witch. I returned to them again last year at age 53 and finally realised they're MY creations and I can work in them whenever and however I choose. I've never felt so free or had such a fantastic connection to my magick before. I'm finally practising the way my soul has always wanted too and it really is thanks to you Molly ❤

I'm listening to this while diy-ing my own custom planner for 2024 after a long creative and spiritual rut. It gives me the idea that this planner itself could be my grimoire for the year. I have journals, sketchbooks, all sorts of notebooks, and I already implemented a magical planning aspect into my planner, but it's taking a more creative form atm so it feels like a good idea to "mess it up" a bit to add the grimoire aspect 😊

the need for my grimoire to feel old totally resonates with me! i wanted to force myself into making something vintage, old, serious and as a result i never wrote anything. since i allowed myself to decorate my pages in the messy and colorful way i enjoy, i started to write so much more and never get enough of it

It has been a while since one of your videos popped up in my feed. Grrrrr... but thankfully this one did and I was so happy to see it. You hit the proverbial nail on the head with these three "mistakes". I've been guilty of doing them all, and just as you said it has kept me from really enjoying the journey of using it as I wanted to. So... now hopefully I will go forth and be able to really let go and have fun. Such a much better energy to include in my pages. Thank you Molly!

Dear Molly, your words are like a hug. You need to know what you're talking about, even if it's part of your past. I had such a controlling ego that I was never able to carry on my creations as for me they had to be works of art, I took myself seriously, and I felt the judgment of my superior self. So I locked everything in a closet. Maybe when and if I can't use the tarot, or I'll learn it thanks to you, I could start abandoning myself again, with joy and irony to creativity. Can I join Patreon even if I'm Italian? Could you do the translation from time to time? Now I'm going to see what it is. Thank you.

I love to create, it feeds my soul! But it doesn’t come naturally for some reason. It’s hard for me to think of the ideas. Once I have an idea or get inspired by someone else’s idea I sometimes create nice things but it can take ages for me to come up with my own ideas. Therefore I’m always feeling like everyone is better than me which really brings me down. How do you think a person can overcome that?
