For those who want to villager hunt but also want to possibly shake trees and dig fossils on cliffs if its necessary, leave your ladder and bring a stack of vines instead. That way the villagers wont be on cliffs but you can still get on the cliff if you need to get something. Just pop a vine on the cliff and grab it when you climb down, I bring a stack because sometimes I forget them on the islands.

I'd be between a frog only island for the aesthetic, or an ostrich only islands because the characters are pretty diverse (peacocks, flamingos, etc.)

Azalea’s horn “looks like a daisy” I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to represent her namesake… an azalea 😂

I would 100% do an all frog island! Personally I don’t think any are very bad, they all are very unique and all equally adorable!

Oooh I think I would do ducks. I love the idea of an all duck island full of ponds! That or I would consider a cub island mainly because I love the idea of creating a teddy bear village!! 😍 I may do a mini version of that on my island anyway but yeah… I’d probably choose ducks

Thank you for your content Ryan. This was another amazing video as always. For my species I would say the top 3 are 1.Squirrels, 2. Bear cubs, 3.Deer/Goat or Cat I previously had an island last year where I tried 8 different types of species where I hunted/used amiibo cards. On my next island I plan on trying different colors. Currently I am trying to finish off my farm island and need the snow to go away!

4:35 I know this is 4 months down the line but I'm doing a mostly Eagle Island. Since Eagles only have 6 of the 8 personalities, I'm filling the Peppy and Lazy slot with other birds.

I hunted for Poppy back on my OG island - she took 300+ NMTs. She was actually the beginning of my 300+ NMT average. Ione didn't take as long as I was offline for most of that hunt (was looking for Grizzly at the time and found her instead).

If I did an island with all one type of villager it would probably be squirrels, or deer... or cats! The one I wouldn't want is all gorillas. But at the moment I like having different kinds of villagers as my go-to! :) Also, when you said "wouldn't it be funny if this was the ticket..." 😂😂 Great villager hunt!

I've never watched you before but i love villager hunts ❤ I don't have any species I particularly love above the others and have never done an all species island cuz I love variety, but I would probably never to an island of all hamsters or birds lol. Great video!!

Hi Ryan, this was a cool video! I have a question though, do you have a mod or something that allows you to get so many tickets or do you keep doing nook miles quests and save up to get tickets. I’m currently saving up for tickets and I’m bummed, if tickets costed 1,000 miles instead of 2,000 each, I’d have way more in a lot less time. Is there anything you or a fellow commenter can suggest to get tickets faster?

There's always that feeling when you spend 100+ tickets hunting cause you're excited but nervous and worried all at the same time. Sure it gives you a chance to hopefully find a villager you like, but sometimes you go through all those tickets and you don't find anyone you like. Then you either have to invite some ok villager, try and grind for extra tickets, or let someone random move in. So while it's exciting it's also a pain. You actually found a few cool villagers on the way. I have both Ankha AND Rudy and they're awesome!😃👍

I bought new Switch back in January to start a new island because I wanted to keep my other island. On my new island I used 3 tickets for Julia or 2 tickets for Cube. It's nice to get longer than that.

I learned recently that when villager hunting, the game first picks the species 1/35 then chooses within that species for the villager. So you're way more likely to find that particular octopus than the 1/20something cats,rabbits,squirrels.

I love Pecan! Had her on my previous island. Her house is beautiful. I had Caroline as a starter on my current island and I let her go as soon as I got her picture. Her eyes kinda creep me out ngl lol.

My favorite cub villager is Pudge because of nostalgia. He has been on every one of my animal crossing games growing up and I have spent so many tickets trying to hunt him! But still no luck. 😭😭

My first island was all deers!! then i got a new switch and all my data was gone, i had no idea acnh had their own save cloud for transfer haha, but now im in the process of getting all cats!

I would do all cubs, squirrels, or cats! On my current island I have some like Maple, Filbert, Peanut, and Rosie. ❤️ My least favorite villagers are the kangaroos, eagles, or anteaters. I’m also not big on the rhinos or lions.

I’m planning on getting all dogs! It’s been of dream of mine since the game cube, and it’s more accessible than ever in ACNH

If I had to do a whole island of one species, it would probably be wolf/dog. So many villagers that I love in those. Mice would probably be my the one I wouldn’t do the most.

a v fun villager hunt, tbh! v few unpleasant villagers and even w that period of repeats, it didn't feel like *too* many. and pecan is GREAT! i'm biased bc i have her. lol also i love the squirrels, too. i actually have 6 squirrels across my two islands--ione and poppy on one, and then hazel, sally, pecan, and blaire on the other. hazel is my "controversial" favorite--she's hilarious and adorable and reminds me of a young me. lol i also love katt who is cruelly unpopular--my very first starter sisterly from 3 years ago, &i'm never getting rid of her. if i was gonna choose one villager type for an island, it'd probably be dogs! cheesy island name? isle of dogs. lol i also have several dogs: goldie and maddie on one island, then mac, bea, cookie, and bones on the other. (my second island has 4 dogs, 4 squirrels, 1 deer [deirdre], and 1 duck [molly]). and one that i'd avoid? the frogs. i hate the frogs. i had huck as my first campsite villager ever and i hated him. then i tried having lily on my second island and i just couldn't get over the shape of the frogs. she's adorable, but i just hate the shape of the frogs. i'm constantly jumpscared by them. among all other villager types there's someone or something to like, for me, but i really hate the frogs. lol

i went on a 5 nmt ticket hunt and found beau at the first island

4:30 I had planned out an all-sheep island a few years ago, but since then decided to do more of a general farm theme instead. I think my least favorite island would be a monkey/gorilla island. I’m not a fan of most of them and the idea of being around just a bunch of primates isn’t really something I’d be excited for.

I took a huge break from ACNH after a burnout, stopped watching ACNH content and everything. Then I saw a picture of Flip, Genji, Kabuki, Ken, Snake and Cyrano in an outdoor bath (onsen) and I got bit by the bug again. I said goodbye to Benjamin, Wolfgang and Kabuki (my favourites on my old island) and restarted. How here I am trying to find Genji as my starter because I miss him so much - LET'S GO!

If I did an island for a specific species I think I'd choose Ostrich; I'd love to do Alligator but I don't think there's enough..I could just combine the 2 I guess? But I'd rather do a combination of Alligators and Frogs, they'd make a great aesthetic as they both live in similar areas irl. I wouldn't want to do something like Cats as it'd be too easy and everyone is sort of doing it, gotta give love to the ones who aren't often on the top of peoples fav lists.

I have only 2 non squirrel villagers now, Lolly and Diana. I hunted after Sherb asked to leave and found Peanut!! Now I have Peanut, Marshal, Poppy, Ione, Blaire, Pecan, Filbert, Sylvana. I don't think i can ever let Diana leave 😩😩

If I were to do an animal specific island. I would do cats, cubs, penguins or ducks. The ones I would never do is horses and anteaters.

There's a difference between cub and hamster villagers.

I'm going a Imperial Zen island like the buddist temples right now. (I wanted something that would be nice through the seasons) I want to try all pink island with the brown zen bridges. (Brown,white, and pink) So, all the light pink villagers. But if it species, probably wolves. I think they have the most dramatic personalities and I would love to build around their house based on their interior. I hate, absolutely hate. Bears. I just can't. I like the soft looking villagers. Megan just left my island. 🎉 Looking for shino. So jelly. 😫
