The affordable guitars available now are light years away from what cheap guitars were in the 1970's thru 1990's... under $300 gets a guitar 🎸 that can very well be a lifelong musical companion instrument...

I liked this video. I didnt think it was boring, just a good review. I would've liked a little playing at the end after you got the whammy bar tightened, but no complaints 😁

Yes, guitars stay in tune after strings are stretched. Most people blame new strings on anything else they can think of ;)

Interesting one Jayce. 🤔 Ive seen this one reviewed by others and usually seem like they are decent for the money. Great review here. I actually like the longer ones. But i get it. Lol

Cool. That’s the goal. I figured we’ve all seen enough unboxings to last a lifetime! 😜

I have a Volgoa TN2 I had 5 frets that the string was catching under because they stop them really short. I fixed all that but my 3rd fret I'm still having trouble with it is wanky. Frustrating because it's really a pretty nice looking guitar.

That's the problem sometimes with the ball end frets. They can be uneven.

MusicNGear found level frets with that, but described the neck as chunky.

It's got a really wide and flat neck especially after the 12th fret. I found it a little bit of an adjustment to play it.

I also found buzz coming from the saddles / nut. No fret buzz...but the action was set on the high side. Mine was also damaged in shipping... The top epoxy coat had a crack at the volume knob if I remember correctly. Thanks for the SHOUT OUT ! ! ! ! AnnoyingCritic !

That’s too bad. That’s an interesting subject. Because I actually haven’t seen any left handed guitars from all these budget brands. I think Harley Benton does but I don’t think Donner does or Firefly.

With MIDI you can do anything.

It's not a binding, just the body that hasn't been finished all the way up to the top veneer.

You’re right. After closer inspection I realized it is just the maple top. It’s got a golden hue to it from the clear coat. Made me think it was Mahogany.

That looks like 'blackwood". Whatever that is. It's on my Donner. It's some type of Asian wood from what I've discovered.

Could be. I’ve seen fretboards made from Purpleheart that also look like rosewood.

I'm wondering if they're the same as the Firefly manufacturer, because this has an almost identical headstock. Plus the stainless frets and roasted neck, locking tuners, they definitely took some design tips from Firefly.

It’s damn close. Locking tuners look similar. The fancy fret dots. The higher quality woods and such.

@@JayceAllanGuitar with the alibaba people you can select specks /hardwear /headstock shape ...then slap a logo and voila! your the newest guitar brand being reviewed ..(i wouldn't be surprised if the same importers are just making a few changes and slapping a new name on whence the hype dies down just to get another round of youtube publicity
