GTR family let’s get it. My personal opinion, this is the best GTR channel on my KZread hands down. Relatable guys, cool content, lit 🔥 cars and GTR madness👌🏽💯 now that I have a R35 it makes this channel to me seem like a fraternity 😎

Good job! i put dynamat down when i removed the rear plastic paneling and it helped, some people go all in and do the roof and areas around the windows in the rear but i did a basic install and it seemed to make a difference, plus you can add layers to it so there is that option as well. your job looks exactly like mine but i put more on the rear seating.

Oh cool! Yeah it's a nice product to mess with and can definitely make a good difference!

For increased sound deadening and insulation. I'd also recommend putting down silness 2mm or any 2mm closed cell foam. Makes a world of difference when sound deadning.

I've gone back and forth on what I'd do wit this car long term. It will be easy to trade this in for a Lambo since I own this car outright. But I know Id still miss it. So we'll have to see. I will definitely miss this car when the day comes

@@paperboymike5313 I’m really excited about the Z! Won’t be going for a Lambo just yet since the Z is going to be so much fun and have way more content. So in maybe 2-3 years I’ll have to see if I can just keeping the GTR and add a Lambo or if trading in makes the most sense

Yeah that would have been a great thing to show. There are tons of videos showing the decibel difference. Didn't know I could fin an app for that. Would have been easy enough

I'd say maybe 5 hours or so

I'd love to do this on my WXR STI, but the issue I have is the extra weight gain. I guess for the GTR you don't need to worry about that cause it's already super fast =)

Did you watch the whole video? The box of 36 sqft weighed 18lbs. So I added maybe 15lbs. There is no way you'll notice that weight. Even a motorcycle wont notice that much weight gain

It's a cool mod for sure to tone it down a bit!

You can line the inside of the panels with foam weather stripping and it works very well.

Yeah I can see that too. This will probably have more of an impact since it's very thick and has weight to it. Same amount of work too

What's the price difference between Dynamat and this foil looking stuff? 🤔

Amazing to see this low of quality for a GT-R. I had a Rogue once that was so loud inside, you couldn’t hold a conversation when it rained because of the sound from the rear wheel wells. Added similar material and made it sound like a normal car. I will never buy a Nissan again due to their cost cutting measures. I’ve heard the same problems on the 350/370 Zs.

Oh ncie! Yeh even though the GTR is a hand built racer, it still has the cheap Nissan aspects to it. This was very worth doing. I might even add more to spots I didn't cover. I wish I new about this on my 370Z. That was even more noisy then this

I think it does just a bit. Since its aluminum foil backed. That's a good heat barrier right there

I drove a 2019 and 2020 and they are better. But still noisy. I’ll be driving my friends 2017 this weekend so I’ll get to put more miles on the new one to see!

It's a good mod, as you say the car is quieter than before. But don't make it a Rolls Royce with a GT-R badge by soundproofing the entire car. LOL😂

@@BrosFOURRSpeed it makes a difference i bought the dynamat brand they have been using it in cessna's and other aircraft to quiet it down, plus you can layer it to make it even quieter.

is there a way to have the entirety of the rear-seat wall removed so that I can put a full sized mountain-bike in the back without having to dismantle it? Would be great if I could then still drive my R35 on the Autobahn above 300 kmh without it being too noisy.

Nope. You'd be taking away the actual structure of the chassis. Trade your car for a BMW M4 Comp. You'll get a very comparable car but more practical

I wrote it in the description ;) But about 15lbs. Total box weighed 18lbs. I have 8 sqft left over. So really nothing to make any sort of difference
