I've owned one for 4 years and it's still brings a smile to my face every time I drive it, really good for the soul.
🟦 I saw the sales #s today. The Forester is killing it. The Impreza, not so much. 🟦
This is a good video! One year ago this June I bought a new 2023 Forester Limited. I actually ordered it in early May and had to wait for it to be delivered from Japan in June. It was worth the wait. I have not yet gotten used to the body redesign of the 2025 model, and to me it looks too much like the Ford Explorer. As for the power of the 4 cylinder boxer engine found in the earlier and new models of the Forester, it's good enough. The car is good for driving around town and for highway driving. You do not have to have an active lifestyle to appreciate this car, and you do not need to take it off road to like it. What do these people want who say they wish the Forester has more power? If you want a hot car overpowered car, go buy a Corvette. If you want a safe sensible reliable car then Forester should be among the cars that you consider. It also holds its resale value year after year. The car gets decent gas mileage. The car can be less expensive to insure than some other cars as well because of its safety features. Take all of that into consideration as you evaluate the cost of car ownership. One last note, Forester is almost always on the Consumer Reports list of best cars to own and drive. Take a Forester for a test drive, then decide for yourself.
My point like I said, was it needed more power to get up and move, like merging and pulling out into traffic. It can be unsafe to think you can pull out into traffic, floor it, and have zero power to get up to the speed limit. So yes, this car needs more power to feel safer.. Also safety features have zero impact of insurance rates..
Front has to much going on and unresolved. What are those hexagonal indentations doing at the bottom?....the serve no purpose....just plonked on and clash with the fog light indentations. Not a unified design theme. In any case this design already looks outdated picking up design language that the other car makes have introduced years ago.
Nice video! I kind of want one of these to accompany the vettes. Currently have a Regal for DD which is nice but i feel as though the CT5V is the sweet spot for a DD considering price and of course without going crazy for the BW.
how quite this car is on a freeway? is it lexus quite?
Good review bro! Quick question about the navigation system. You mentioned it working even in remote areas where you didn’t have service on your phones. How is that? Is it satellite linked navigation or something? Also, how’s the overall headlight performance at night?
I don’t know that, but it’s the same in any car with built in navigation. They always work even when cells phones don’t. I always buy a car with built in nav for that reason, can always rely on it. Should be a hard drive nav system
@@BrosFOURRSpeedyeah now that makes sense. Being hard drive based I bet. And how’s the headlight performance at night?
Great, what you would expect!
@@BrosFOURRSpeedalright, I appreciate the responses!
Man everything will mess up the clutch, I don't want this car anymore 🗣️
It takes a long time to actually mess up a clutch. Any normal car should go close to 100k without having issues
Great video! I've been deciding between these two
Both have a lot to offer!
Cna you put torque specs in the videos.. searching through the manual is a pain in the ass lol
I didn't really do any specific torque specs. Just do them nice and tight and you should be good. About 20 pounds or so
What an in-depth video. With this video, I feel as though I could make a well-informed choice between this car and another. Much appreciated 👏
Glad you enjoyed it! Trying a new style on cars I get to test more long term ;)
@BrosFOURRSpeed Yeah, I could tell the new format. For lack of a better phrase, dare I state that it felt more mature.
@@AubreyBeauford Glad you liked it!
Cool video! I will get mine this week and can't wait any longer!
Nice! Good choice
Closer to 40k 🥲 plus tax and fees
Of course, no one was arguing that..
@@BrosFOURRSpeed oh because video said 30k my bet
I said just over $38,000 ;)
@@BrosFOURRSpeedSorry I thought you said 30k
How does it compare to Hyundai Santa Fe and Palisade?
Very similar. I do like the Palisade and Santa Fe a bit better. Primarily since those feel more luxurious all around. Palisade feels like a Mercedes. The dash on this is very Subaru. So I think that takes a way some of the luxury aspects this could of had
Reminds me of the Grand Higlander.
Yeah direct competitor for sure
Hey everyone Jesus saves accept him as your savior today and repent if you haven't already he's coming back soon be ready. Jesus is Lord.✝️✝️🙏🙏✝️
Awesome!
How does it compare to Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson in terms of ride comfort and cabin quietness?
Hell I know someone who paid 68k for a scat pack. When a used hell cat was 65k 🤦♂️.
Oh wow!
We bet you rather have a Camry than this. We know you like the Camry more.
I mean the Camry is a great choice for an affordable family sedan. This is a good choice for a 3 row SUV. Not exactly competitors. I have no need for either type of these cars, so not something on my radar to purchase. But good choices for those looking for what these cars offer
@@BrosFOURRSpeed if you don’t like it, go get go ahead and get three or four Mitsubishi mirages in different colors for different days. Pour all your money into those.
Surely this is an unfair comparison, shouldn't it have been the Audi RSQ5 V BMW X3 Competition.
Yeah performance wise these are not competitors. But crazy how a base X3M can cost the same as a loaded SQ5. Here's my video with the SQ5 vs X3 M40i. kzread.info/dash/bejne/ipeHyq1miLKdn9Y.html
I’m going to wait and get a used one hopefully 60K by end of this year 30-40k miles.
Yeah should be a good way to go!
Nice video bro & I'm planned to buy this soon.
Oh cool. Good family SUV!
meh i like it and i want to buy one too
2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid HEV XSE FWD Premium Sedan!
Yeah the new 2025 Camry is pretty cool!
I'm getting that sq5 that x3 kinda ugly I like the wheels tho
Yeah whatever works for you. Can't go wrong with an Audi
A Subie with Mahogany and ASMR! #thirsttrap Happy PRIDE everyone watching this video! ❤❤❤
Thanks for checking out the video!
Those wheels and tires are far too small for this to look good. They're disproportionate to the rest of the car.
You missed items Taillight button for the tailgate Heating and ventilated rear seats
I showed the tailgate button.. and the rear seats had neither. They were not heated or ventilated..
@@BrosFOURRSpeed either way, great video I subscribed to your channel
@@martinreagan5083 we appreciate the support! We usually go over all the options and features of each vehicle!
Mercedes does it better than everyone ❤️
Great looking car!
The interior of this car is super cool very beautiful
Yeah it's pretty nice!
Yeah, but the epoxy is a brute to work with.
Probably
Garbino, looks like got dam Explorer. Subaru is floating dead in a tub with its as* up just like Nissan and Mitsubishi.
I can't fit my golf clubs in the back. I have to put them in the passenger side
4 gens are already proving to be far less reliable. I'll stick with my 2022 SR5.
How so? What information do you have to share on that?
I'm not sure if it means anything, but I've gotten into the habit of slowly lifting the clutch instead of blipping the throttle. Results are the same as a smooth down shift. Is this a bad idea?
Nothing wrong with that. Just putting a tad more wear on the clutch and your shift will be a tad slower then rev matching. Perfectly fine for normal driving. But if you plan to do any performance driving, rev bathing will be better
My mom has the 2020 model and still drives like a champ good gas and very soft drive not my type of vehicle but for the normies is pretty good
Oh nice. Solid cars!
It has touch screen, just change it in the settings.
I haven't been able to find that in the Mazda cars we've had
Do you know if there's still a touring trim for the '25?
Yeah there is ;)
I'm early to this vid & I think I could buy this.
Great option!
i couldn't buy this
@@AntLive29 Why?
42k for this is hard bro😩
This is about as pricey as they come tho. The last XSE I filmed was $38k. And the SE goes for about $33k
Could most get a hell cat for that price
nice car. today's price list for Europe is $46,000. The cheapest version,🤬🤯
Oh wow thats a good bit more! Our cheapest is under $30k
Rattling glove compartment, cheap overlapping plastic everywhere, fake leather seats that creases faster than a fake leather bag, physical button lacking media console, impossible to locate driver and passenger overhead light at night(no light touch indicator), average mpg for the class. 55k for a 24 nx350 f-sport that doesn’t come with real leather seats, heated but no ventilated seats(I thought these comes together), no parking sensors/assist, no pano roof, no 360cam, no digital rear view mirror. I would have never bought this pos because its has less options and way more expensive than other major luxury cars but my wife “really liked the size.”
Yeah you can buy a nice KIA or Hyundai with a similar level of interior but loaded with options for much less money
@@BrosFOURRSpeedeven mahor lux brands like MB GLA250, or audi q3 had better options and less expensive(a little less).
Lots of good options. However Lexus is still number 1 in reliability. So lots of buyers go for the brand because of that
Good truck,, video, boring
How so? What would you do differently?
I really appreciate the fact that the center touch screen is integrated into the dash instead of tacked on to the top of the dash, sticking up like it was added after the interior design was finished. So many cars nowadays bolt it to the top of the dash making it look like an afterthought. I drive a 2021 RS7 which also has it integrated into the dash.
Yeah I agree with that. Looks much better when it's part of the design
2:48 I have an Access Cab/long bed with manual transmission. It's TRD Sport, '22
Oh nice! Yeah the Access Cab will have the long bed vs the full 4 door having the short bed
@@BrosFOURRSpeed It's a rare one, for sure. Most of the Tacomas came in the Crew Cab with short box. And, as we all know, not many manuals.
@@MontyPiper very true!
Genius
What is?
@@BrosFOURRSpeed the van itself
@@hattag3399 great option for sure
I prefer the coupe version
Great way to go for sure
Frontier is a much better value!!!
Why?
Frontier all the way, about to scoop one up later this month! The frontier seems to be the more dependable when it's coming to reliability right now. That v6 is gonna be so much more better heading into the next 10 years. Maybe when the technology gets better that 4 cylinder can be fine but for it to be in a truck and it be that expensive no thanks. Loved tacomas all my life and wanted one for so long but no that I'm finally able to get a truck I'm getting that v6 just because it's gonna be cheaper to maintain longterm 🎉
@@thecurlyhero452 you realize that 4 cylinders have been in trucks for decades right? That’s not new at all.. They aren’t more expensive to maintain either. Did you look that up or just think that?
I just thought it I don't look things up
@@thecurlyhero452 don’t you think that would be something to research beforehand? Instead of sharing incorrect information.
Excellent informative review.
Glad it was helpful!
Bro listed 10 steps for a 1 step process
How do you start up your manual R8?
XSE is too expensive, you can get bmw 5 series and enjoy your ride
5 Series starts at $57,000. So no you can't lol. A Camry SE is about $33k, so thats a good trim if this $41k XSE is out of your budget
@@BrosFOURRSpeed wow you trying to compare handling , performance, braking system , and all the option to Camry )))
@@arturbabajanian You are the one saying you can buy a 5 series for Camry money. New for new the base 5 series costs at least $17,000 more. Obviously the 5 series is a better car. But thats why it costs more. Compare apple to apples. Not apples to pairs. These cars don't compete and are not in the same price range either
