Installing Downpipes On My Nissan GT-R! *LOUD*

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Lets install the Armytrix downpipes on my Nissan GT-R!!
In todays video we install the Armytrix Downpipes on my 2014 Nissan GT-R! This is a challenging installation because the downpipes are so far up. The bolts to the turbos are not easy to get to. 5 bolts are on each downpipes, and you can only see 3 on each side. Using a combination of extensions, 360 swivel socks and a long breaker bar, we managed to get to alll of the bolts.
I sprayed PB Blaster penetrant oil on all the bolts before we started and I had no issues. The bolts are tight and you need to make sure the socket is on it square, but with leverage, I did not snap any studs.
It takes a bit to remove the 02 sensors on the stock GT-R downpipes, but using a channel lock wrench I could peel back the heat shield and get to the hex portion. I also sprayed the PB Blaster on these.
Overall we got the bolts and sensors out safely! If you snap studs on the turbos the engine needs to be removed to fix! That would suck!
Much easier to install the downpipes on my GT-R because they are much smaller than the stock cats.
Upcoming video we'll get the injectors installed and then see how my stage 3 straight pipe Nissan GT-R sounds!!

Hi Brian, until today I never heard of an armytrix exhaust, so I learned something. It was interesting to watch you and Mike work on it, but the fact you two knew what you were doing was incredible. Cars are certainly what you both know. I think I might now understand why it's called an armytrix exhaust. I did hear some difference in the sound of your GT-R. Alright so 7 days a week you upload a new video at 9am? Brian or Mike, can you please review a 2019 Subaru Forester in Limited or Touring trim level. Excellent vid Brian and Mike.

So wouldn't it make sense to just cut the existing down pipe with a saw as close as you can to the bolts. Once you do that you will have much more leverage and access to the bolts. I'm sure your not going to put the old down pipes back. Even if you had to buy used OEM down pipes it's still better than risking to break that bolt at the very top.
