Implying they have no useful function e.g. a trophy wife, someone who could appear on the cover of a glamour magazine but completely useless at all the tasks you would expect a spouse to be capable of (except maybe sex)

@@zacharietaylor275 Power level isn't a indicator of depth, the biggest indicator unusually is ideals and character motivations. Also, if I would guess, the Sephiroth is probably more popular for two reasons, sex appeal and ominousness..... I've never played FF6 but is hard to look at Kelfla and listen feel any sense of fear where as Sephi basically emanates fear and doom wherever he goes.The angel is less of a character than a one man apocalypse.

I heard teens in my school who have deeper voices and sound more like adults than emoroth in remake. Face the facts that the old VA for Sephiroth was better

Aye, the head of Imagivotion actually came to me to voice Ganondorf AND to help with casting. It's how I found the VAs for Bayonetta and Shantae. Happy to have helped.

@@georgeliquor1236 Both are Dragon Quest antagonists with very, very similar designs and characters. Psarro the Manslayer is literally just Sephiroth, except with an actual character arc and charisma. Dhoulmagus is basically Kefka. Not really any major statements to make about that besides. Psarro is better than Dhoulmagus at being better than their FF counterparts, though, especially since he came first.

Actually I do a lot of pro VA work... Just not as much in animation or video games because of my location. Though that might change with the way the industry is going these days.

@@Imagivotion Well, here's hoping! I live in an area with a major animation studio and a kind of I guess minor one but neither of them audition locals! Laika animates here but only hires voice talent from LA which suuuuucks. And I really want to break into the business myself. Done some acting online, including FF parodies (was Aerith in a few things even!) but apparently to get anything local I have to have an agent.

Damn shame the other Mii fighter characters from franchises without music representation didn’t have songs, like the “Fallout” Guy. (The blonde cartoony guy with the blue jumpsuit.)
Josh being Kefka not only works very well, but is probably a good way for Josh to vent his frustrations.
RIP Kefka: He died being an absolute tool

Okay, can we please get more animations about this? Josh did an awesome job as Kefka and I want more of it. Great video overall with voice acting and animation. And loved the Shantae cameo, hope she makes it in one day.

Tbh Kefka only succeeded cause there wasn’t a clear main character of ff6 to be a main rival for him lmao, Terra/Tina was only a gullible tool used by kefka, and pretty much all of the main characters were idiots and managed to get outsmarted by a clown

@@doctorfate6414 Shantae got her first game on the Game Boy Color in 2002 then she got a sequel in 2010 and a 3rd game in 2014 a fourth game in 2016 and a 5th game in 2020! She's always be with Nintendo but sadly NIntendo only made her a costume even though she was the most requested character as said by Sakurai when talking about her costume! It seems he was gonna make her a real fighter but Nintendo corporate said no! :(

I was always a ff7 lover, but it always saddend me how many people always fought over Kefka and Sephiroth being better, i mean, their both amazing antagonists.

They have been in a few games past but in a perfect world where they have crossover games I would always include the 2. Like if it followed Jump Force which I think has 7 characters for Dragon Ball for example I would do the same if FF was in a game like that. Note I haven't played some of the newer FFs after 10 so maybe my list could be better. Although I briefly tried 13 and hated it 1. Cloud 2. Squall 3. Tifa 4. Vincent 5. Kefka 6. Sephiroth 7. Vivi Runner up Yuna. Not my favorite character but she could be a cool fighter in a fighting game. Having her gun style and then switching up her style for summoning moves. Just like in the original Marvel vs Capcom, Ryu could switch styles in combat. Or just don't have the switch mechanic and leave her with the gun moves and make her suppers Aeons (summons)

I remember this feeling back in kh1 See, if ff7 wasn't so popular, y'know, Cecil is kinda a way better rep in Kingdom hearts, he's got the whole light vs darkness thing, he's got actual angst for killing people and war crimes, he had a rivalry with golbez and the final boss is literally like ultimate evil, the many times Kain turned traitor, and a huge cast full of different personalities. Coulda had an entire redemption thing going on, turn paladin and become an ally for a boss or something, using both the darkwave as dark knight and cover as paladin later to show his thematic change to protecting the people he cares about But you see... ff7 was POPULAR Screw actual synergy, we'll just change clouds entire character to fit

To this day, I still couldn't get over how you voiced Kefka so perfectly. It's pretty scary, to be honest...

I honestly just come back to hear Kefka relatably ranting at overratedness. It's so memeworthy. I know what it's like to be part of the fandom that gets the short end of the stick.
I now see Josh as the canon voice for Kefka. I don’t think anyone is going to top that performance

Unfortunately on June 28th Nintendo killed our hopes and dreams and turned Shantae into a costume! Maybe another clip should be made where Shantae comes out of the room and Cloud asks how it went and Shantae is in tears saying Nintendo told her she wasn't good enough to be a real fighter in Smash and they made a costume of her for a Mii instead which not only angers Cloud but every female fighter in Smash! I can actually see that happening to be honest.
Ah! Perfect! I just so happen to have forgotten to salt my popcorn.
This is way higher quality than I expected at first. I didnt realize how much I missed making up these behind the scene scenarios in my head as a kids playing 64/Melee, keep it up dude...and *maybe they'll add Kefka just for you*
All the voice actors are really good! Kudos for all of them and of course, the main creator who made all of this a reality! I am AMAZED!!!!
