Please forgive the ugly transparency issues on some of the models -- unfortunately I couldn't fix this even while messing with materials in RayCast. I also had to render this in a lower res because my PC dies with so many effects. Anyway, a fare thee well 2018! The animation is... perfect. The movements are fluid, the dub is on-point for all the characters, especially Sephiroth and Kefka, and oh my God the dialogues! They truly respect the characters. It is also wonderful to see how the characters aren't just moving and doing what they want, but they actually interact with each other and offer interesting confrontations. The little fight between Kefka and Sephiroth, how Kefka is interested in the chaotic nature of Ardyn and mocks the Emperor, this newborn kind of... Friendship between Ardyn and Sephiroth. I love it. Ardyn and Sephiroth are my favourite Final Fantasy Villains. They both are deep, intriguing characters, and they both have that kind of... Serene, maleficent elegance. Ardyn's words and Sephiroth's manners truly make me respect and fear their characters more. They'd make a deadly duo.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed it. This entire animation was inspired by my interest to have Sephiroth and Ardyn interact with one another, actually. They are my favourite FF villains as well, and like you, I believe they would make a pretty nefarious team.

And here I'm contemplating on the reasons why this isn't cannon???? This was so good. Everyone is perfectly in-character. The storyline fits the game. Gorgeous animation, (Ureshiiiiii darling, don't fret about the rendering. You're not a powerhouse, multi-million gaming studio). This is incredible. Applause to all who worked on it!!!

Barely a few seconds into the video and I'm already blown away by how cinematic and smooth the animation is! I couldn't believe this wasn't part of the game itself :0 Amazing work for an MMD!! Also a big kudos to all the VA cast. They did extremely well!!

There is so much to say about this masterpiece of work. The choice for using Sephiroth, Kefka and the Emperor is intriguing. Back in the original cycles, most of the villains could be divided between the conquerors and the destroyers. Kefka and the Emperor are pure in that they each follow their desires, destruction and control respectively, where as Sephiroth refused to align himself with either group. The clown and the tyrant talked about it as well. It's funny how Kefka says that he'll destroy Heaven and Hell after he dies, because the Emperor managed to conquer both after he was killed the first time. Let's not forget that one of his most dangerous qualities is that it's hard to take him seriously. Many dismiss him as the fool and that's just what he likes. The Emperor may desire dominion over all, but he's not an idiot. He's aware that the other warriors rival him in power and so he plays it safe until he can find the winning hand. And then there's Ardyn, whose actions brought about destruction, but it is not what motivates him. He's very good at telling others what they want to hear. Like Sephiroth, he used to be a good man, but he fell from grace for verrrrrrrrry different reasons. There's a lot more to say but I'm not sure I could do it justice. I love crossovers so much and this was just so extremely well done. I wish there was more canon versions of this, but at least I have Dissidia Opera Omnia.

@@redblackjester Perhaps. It's probably difficult juggling the personalities of so many different characters. At least the story is still going and the gameplay is more enjoyable than NT. At least for me.

The sway Ardyn has with every motion and word was portrayed perfectly by both animator and voice actor.

Square Enix should hire you as a director. I absolutely loved this, seeing Ardyn interacting with the villains. The voice cast was on point and especially enjoyed the performances of Fiery Joker and Sarifus, as Kefka and Ardyn respectively. Hope to see more from you and more of project M this year. Happy New year.

This was absolutely amazing to watch. Kefka was amazing. You hit every characteristic of each individual perfectly.

Ardyn is a smart guy.when he saw the three ones,he immediatly realised that Sephiroth are the real big deal in the company.

Absolutely incredible! I've seen more character development and discussions in this than NT. I'm heavily impressed. Were this any longer I would've needed a full take out from Sonic or something.

Great work on making this and the voice work was great Dr. Wolf was quite chilling as Emperor Mateus, Josh was a total ham as Kefka, Aussie did really well as Sephiroth and Sarifus pulled off a splendid performance as Ardyn. Bravo to you all

This is super impressive voice work and animation! Whoever voiced Kefka sounded like he was having the time of his life haha And the script for this was just perfect!

Thanks to this, I really wish more that they'd add Ardyn in Dissidia. With that away, OHMIGOSH, this is amazing!! All of you guys did such amazing job! The animation is as gorgeous as it can go with MMD and at some points, it felt like an official cut scene. Voice acting sounds almost professional, I especially enjoyed josh's performance as Kefka. And while, I believe, no one can mimic Darin de Paul's voice completely, Sarifus range, smoothness and tone are closest to a perfect I've witnessed so far. And I also loved how well written this is, and how everyone was managed to keep so IC. As a writer, it can be hard task, but damn, you guys did it just right! Overall, this is a+ work, if you ask me. I cannot wait for more to come for you, ureshiiiiii!

Love the detail in this, the "boing" in Kefka's step and the dialogue i wish the villains and heros had this sort of chemistry in the games!!!

What with the recent announcement of Ardyn’s arrival to NT, here’s hoping they’ll be a cutscene where he interacts with other characters like this.

“Le gasp! In yonder distance!” Why does that always make me laugh?

I love how this scene is more serious than the very game. It was such an artistic piece of a scene, to see how everything was in its place, the lines and dialogues match with the characters and you have done a great job.

I like how at the end Sephiroth is like: I may just make a friend here.

Nice! I loved that Kefka skips when he walks and how crazy he is!

This is so... original for a simple fan animation. Congratulations!

Holy crap, this is AWESOME!! The movements of the characters, their personalities, their goals, it's so accurate to how they would act. And the voice acting is really great too!

Better cutscene than the entire story mode in NT. Seriously, if the cutscenes were full of character and action and plot all together like this, way less people would've complained haha. You outdid Team Ninja! well done (though if I can ask one question, how on earth did you do this in MMD?)

Van-garrett Johnson The story mode lacks any proper character interaction, rather they’re mostly just standing around talking without many interesting animation points. And the choices of said character interactions are poorly arranged.

Oh my god Ureshiiiiiii this was the BEST.. BIG FINAL FANTASY FAN HERE!

I hope your video is prophetic and that we will see this character in Dissidia and in the next Kingdom Hearts instead of Sephiroth.

I just watched your recreation of Soul Reaver 2 at the Pillars scene and this afterwards. You've earned a sub. I love your work. I think this was better than most of the scenes in NT.

It finally happened though, now we can pit Ardyn, Noctis and Vaine against Bahamut.

I would watch a whole TV series of this. It’s just so entertaining seeing the heroes and villains of these games interact.

Oh, wow - thanks very much Magnus! Glad you liked! That was exactly what I was going for - channeling a lot of Darin's sound but trying to be flexible within that. I love Darin in the role, and I also really enjoy what the French actor did, who was very smooth and suave and natural with it. So I tried to take some of that on board. Ardyn is my favourite character, so writing his dialogue and voicing him in this was wonderful to get to do.
