For some reason the last part of the intro, "just let me stay here and I'll love you for ever" makes me cry. I used to watch this on Sunday on TVO kids before going home from my dad's house. I would get sad because yknow... I'd miss my dad

Man, it's been AGES since I've seen this cartoon. I remember reading the novel in Fourth or Fifth Grade, and while reading the book, I started to think: "Hmm...Diana? Gilbert? Felicity? Salty lemonade? Where have I heard all of this before...? ...OH MY GOODNESS! THIS IS THE BOOK THAT INSPIRED THAT SHOW I WATCHED AS A LITTLE KID!"

Anne of Green Gables the Animated Series Theme Lyrics

This intro is so powerful. It sets the theme so WELL! Anne just wants a loving family, and when she finally gets it she’s still so grateful. The into keeps repeating this over and over. Looking back, this was probably one of the most emotional TV shows I ever watched. Thank you Qubo.

I love her voice, this song is so bouncy and the tune never leaves my head. Ahh what a wonderful childhood memory and a great show based off of the amazing novels!

I love how the song starts sad and sweet, then Picks up excitement (as she finally finds a home) then ends with a tune of feels (her feeling insecure that she might get sent away as she wishes for a life of smiles.

For some reason, I saw the re-runs of this show 10 years (if not more) after the show's original release on PBS Kids. I was 8-10 years old back then. I was lucky that I was able to see it as a kid.

This show is what got me into reading classics, I remember I saw a book called Anne of Green Gables in first grade in my teachers classroom and I remember being surprised that it was a book and she let me keep it and gave me other books as well, amazing teacher.

The fact that i still know the lyrics to the theme song long after it had been over, with just ONE season. Just listening to the song and the voice of anne engulfs me in memories. I wish the Netflix series were similar to the animated series. This will forever be my favorite animated childhood cartoon.

I have not seen this show in years, and watching this video gives me an unexplainable feeling. What an amazing childhood show.

I watched this every Sunday morning on PBS Kids in 2001-2002. I was in 2nd grade. My school library had a copy of the book and I remember wanting to read it but was intimidated by its length at the time. I ended up reading it in its entirety two years later in 4th grade, and it became one of my all-time favorites!

Omg! I thought Diana was freakin hot!!! No wonder she was my favourite character!!!

I love this show, it's one of my favorite shows on PBS Kids. I just wish I could find a way to watch the prequel movie

Omg 😱 I love ❤️ this show so much I love ❤️ missing this show when I was baby 👶 I used to be a little Minch an now I grew 🆙 to be 15 years old to watch this show this show gives me the vibes an I love ❤️ this show it made me think 🤔 bout my dead 💀 grandmother 👵 to be 97 years old she just turned 96 she had heart ❤️ problems but it’s okay she’s up 🆙 there living with the lord
