my wish for a feature in a new animal crossing: Skating In winter, the ponds and lakes would freeze up and you could buy skates and go skating with your friends, villagers or just by yourself. I would love this as a feature.

As a man who likes to play make believe, to say this is awesome would be an understatement. You've truly outdone yourself and created something wonderful. I feel that fan creations that emulate existing franchises often fall short from the perspective of capturing a lot of the nuances in presentation (capturing the "brand" of a game, so to speak), and far too often deviate from the stylistic choices that are typical for those franchises, electing instead to inject their own personal leanings. However, you've done very well to stay very true to the Animal Crossing Franchise. Even more often, fan creations like these don't think about the gameplay implications, choosing to focus purely on visual presentation. But you've come up with some truly great ideas that would definitely streamline and enhance a lot of what we're familiar with. One idea that I feel could be afforded by the Wii U's enhanced graphical capability would be custom clothing that no longer relies on an extremely small pixel grid. We've been using a tiny pixel grid for a while and for good reason given prior hardware limitations, but since the gamepad is a larger drawing surface, I feel like we could at least see an expansion of the pixel resolution for custom clothing designs. Make it feel more like you can actually draw, instead of compose tiny squares. Something comparable to miiverse drawings would be awesome. Again, excellent job, and I look forward to whatever else you decide to do with this series!! =)

These ideas are awesome. Unfortunately, I remember Nintendo or Gamefreak said before, that fan ideas ruins the games, because Nintendo can't use fan ideas. It creates a legal issue, where the fan who came up with it can sue Nintendo for using his/her ideas, therefore Nintendo avoids everything that fans create.

+TheBitBlock I guess lot of fans would be honored to have their awesome ideas make it to real games, but you never know who will get bitter after Nintendo makes a billion dollar profit or their ideas for free and they are not credited for it. Certanly risky thing. well the easier solution to get in contact with the fan who came up with the ideas and hire them as helper to the game designer team.

Because of the dough. People like buying amiibos for whatever reason that is beyond me, since the devs like them too and marketing amiibo festival through them was easier, they greenlit the project. Nintendo has always had that odd history, they release a cool creative game like Splatoon while on the flip side they develop a piece of shit like say Ultra Smash or Amiibo Festival.

I am only 11 months late, and I also don't know how he made it. I think it is safe to assume he used assets from Animal crossing Amiibo festival though, and just animate scenes in something like blender.

You know Josh, you might never become the most largest KZreadr ever, and it's sad to see that KZread is nowadays only about quantity, instead of quality of the content. I would completely understand if you would suddenly stop making these kinds of videos, since they take veeery long time to make, but I hope you do still continue. I've been watching you videos since mammamia19 and I hope that this channel will continue to live for as long as possible. Whether you will find time (and motivation) to continue this series or not, I don't care, as long as you will continue to make videos you've been before. These videos are one of those bright spots of sunshine in my week (as sad as it might sound). What about a new camera tool, and bird watching as a new hobby alongside fishing and bug catching. A tone goes off when a bird is near, and your game pad goes into first person mode when the camera is activated, and you use it to snap pictures you can donate to the museum.

Excellent work guys. To be honest I was expecting some sketches or fan art here and there, along with blueprints of ideas. This blew my mind-as an AC fan since the GC era, I'm simply amazed by the way the spirit of the series was transmitted in every idea, and the execution of every detail was flawless. I hope the developers see this and maybe get inspired to create the next AC game (hopefully foe the WiiU). Definitely looking forward to more videos. Joshy-great job!

This is such a great concept, I wish they did something like this new new horizons but instead we got a disappointing game.

I don't care about anything else I just want my character to have dark skin without needing to tan ;-;

i could see a lot of these ideas being used by nintendo themselves. the balloon idea is absolutely brilliant and adding stickers to letters sounds absolutely adorable. but im not sure if those who have generally sloppy handwriting could be understood by the animals. but you have really great ideas and if this were in a potential wii u animal crossing, id be eager for a release, maybe in april when the cherry blossoms are in bloom it would look gorgeous in HD :D

I LOOVE all these ideas! I really wish Nintendo would make another Animal Crossing Game. 1 idea that I've had involves the job system. In the past 2 games we have seen the mayor, and the happy home designer. Since most Animal Crossing games have 4 save files, I think it would be cool if every player could have their own unique job. Maybe 1 person owns a restaurant, or another player is a dentist, and maybe one of them is a cop. The possibilities are endless. This would also allow players a new form of making bells through the works of their job.

This is a major reason why Josh Thomas deserves support, even if you don't agree with him (and I personally don't some of the time). The sheer amount of effort, consideration, (imo) good ideas, passion, and other factors put into this SINGLE video, which could EASILY be an excellent pitch to Nintendo, proves that Josh is ready to do everything in his power to make a quality production. Josh Thomas is an artist and a great one at that.

Aww , travel by hot air balloon wouldve been soooo much more ANIMAL CROSSING :D in NH rather than plane so cute and cozy(not dissing nh tho) , and to see the sky everytime u visit a friend would be something to look forward too

Still personally devastated that Nintendo never hired you and made this happen on Wii U

It's pretty sad we have to do something like this, instead of Nintendo actually giving us what we want...

Wow, I can’t believe Josh invented the toolbox for Animal Crossing.

I recently unfollowed and unsubbed Josh because his constant negativity about something we both love, in combination with his rudeness towards other online creators, just got really annoying. That in mind, this is INCREDIBLE. I would play this game in a heartbeat, and I dont even like Animal Crossing all that much.

The fact that this is a fan made idea with visual imagery that is on par (or even beyond) with what an actual Wii U animal crossing might look like is Baffling (in a good mind blowing way) So much work and love was put into this.

Did not know what to expect but did not expect this, the quality is far above average and I an pretty excited for another episode. This looks like something that is actually from an Animal Crossing game. How long did it take to do this whole video because I don't see this as a simple thing to do.

+Wolfenstian The video was crazy for me because it took so long to finish, but I wasn't working on it more than about a month. I began in May, and just finished - but only about 30 days of that was actual work. It feels really good to have it done and out there for you guys to watch haha. Future episodes won't take anywhere near as long. :)

I like how the Wind is a real thing in the Switchgame. :D

I believe in Thousand-Year Door Mario can transform into an airplane, a boat and more origami style, but what you say would be another level! Someone should make it happen
