Texas has a rich history in raising mohair from Angora goats. Highly skilled people shear these goats twice per year. This video shows how most goats are sheared using a specialized shearing pattern. This pattern is well suited for shearing goats.

I remember watching this on a farm i lived on for a period of time when i was a little kid. had about 20 Angora goats. The baby goats are adorable and they have such funny personalities.

The method doesn't respect animal welfare. The goat is tied up and the shearer puts his knee on the animal :(

ikr i sheargoats somtimes and hes way too rough and needs to check on there breathing and make sure there comfortable
