For those that have asked about the Crosley C6… yes this unit is the same we believe. Made by Huizhou Haiping.
It sounds a little bit distorted, but maybe because 2.6 grams is right near the minimum of its tracking force range. I recommend setting it to 3 grams.
Personally, I was actually pleasantly surprised by the sound quality of this turntable and the speakers that came with it. Awesome!!!
Got this the other day on a lightning deal that gave an extra $40 off from the ~$265 cost and man am I satisfied. Great sound, easy set up, and very affordable.
Wow, that's a relief, Record-ology, that this Angels Horn turntable has great consistent speeds right out of the gate and seems to be working well. Awesome! :)
Pleasantly surprised, especially knowing how your last AH review went. I always like to see an affordable unit succeed and this one seems to check all the boxes. 😃
Woooow! Thank you for posting this review! I was getting so tired of researching as a beginner, and decided to buy this yesterday on Amazon once I saw the turntable came with a pre-amp and the speakers were included. I was apprehensive, but thanks for making me feel better about my purchase. I can’t will till Friday!

Can you tell me how it performs?
Saw "Angel Horn" and speakers and my first thought was that this was going to be a disaster. Guess not. Looks like a good value.
Great review as always! You have a great body of reviews, and it's great to see Angel's Horn redeem themselves!
Must admit I was worried when I saw ' Angels Horn' in the title after the previous issues- however, it was better than expected. Would make a good starter system for those who are not ready to drop a bundle on start-up. Status Quo have a great back catalogue and worth checking out.
Just bought this turntable. I really love it
Greatly improved. Kudos to Angel Horn!
Your videos are super thorough, going through all of yours to try and pick my first. Thanks!

Thank you!
Found a old collection of vintage records even some 78’s. Some pretty pricey ones at that. Point is I have always wanted to get into the hobby and think this is my time. Was eye balling this set up. Seems pretty ideal for a noob like me.
Looks like a great choice of turntable, nice review.
Got one for my kid. Sounds great. This seems like a good entry level turntable.
Nice to see you like Quo. Obviously big here in England. Seen them alot live on stage. I have a Rega p2 turntable but the Angel horn looks pretty good. Keep the videos coming I really enjoy watching them.

Color me impressed, and it's reasonably priced! Love it.
Nice little unit
Status Quo have been a massive group over this side of the pond since early 1968. Was that Pictures of Matchstick Men by Quo? The original from Jan 68 is a great psychedelic song. The follow up Ice in the Sun is as good. After a couple of years they changed style to their familiar 12 bar blues and rock. To me,their 70s songs are the best.
Sounds great 👍
I was in the UK, and I sort of grew up listening to the music of Status Quo, having first heard them in 1972.
Looks good, sounds good - this time around they've got it right, it seems!
I'm new to vinyl and turntables this review was very helpful.

That,s a very nice turntableset , with a good sound !!
So lucky, Aunt Barbara adores Captiva and Sanibel 👌 And just being in free state is worth the trip.
Great review. This is exactly what I was looking for!!! I had two questions about it, if you could help 1) Am I correct that I could add a subwoofer to the setup? Is it needed or do the speakers perform well without one? 2) I am considering setting this unit into an old refurbished cabinet. What are the measurements without the hinges? Wanna make sure it fits before buying it. Thanks again!
I like this one, I like your honesty, your good man. Thanks,

@@Recordology I will. Thank you 😊
Now that`s what i call a neat turntable..very tidy indeed !! The Only record i have that comes anywhere close to the one that you have used as a demo on this video,is by a band called QuoTastic....and they released a single in 1896,called..your in the Royal Air Force Now.....Which was pretty ingenious being as the Royal Air Force never came into being till 1918,as such.My copy has sixteen scratches,55 jumps, and plenty of hiss, pops and crackle.Apart from that,it plays fine.Really must try get a copy of that "In the Army" now recording....I really liked the first track,Crawling home alone...Very neat and tidy !!...Much Loveliness..Ade,from the Shires of Warwick
Ive got ah tt,pretty close to the c6 crosley i also have . Used for 2 years been flawless. I paid 89 for it on ebay
It would be interesting to take the measurements of that plinth and then re-create it with an actual solid piece of walnut wood and then transfer all the turntable components to it to see how the sound is afterwards. I'm betting a good router (The power tool, not the internet device) could cut the holes for where the switches, etc. go. Then just use the proper size drill bit to drill the necessary holes.
Great unit and am going to a Quo gig next month in Dublin, Ireland. Great work man
Nice Video! Can you make a video about your current record collection? Would be really interesting!
Nice man. @TheVinylAttack didn't even bother to test the table like you did. This is what makes you the best.

Yeah, that guy did a total hit job on Angels Horn. Hitting the platter like it's a cymbal and freaking out about resonance, yet once assembled on sub platter and mat on top, it don't do that! Then complaining that the tracking force must be set higher than 3g, and again freaking that he can't play any of his "precious" records at such a high tracking force for fear of damage, yet the AT3600L is supposed to be set at 3.5g (+- 0.5 g) by design, and actually going less would damage records as opposed to just setting where this cartridge/stylus is supposed to be...ugg.
Since the cartridge is preset, does that take away the opportunity to change out the cartridge for a different one like an ortofon 2m red cartridge?
This is a awesome stereo
Great video as always. I was looking for Angel Horn on Amazon UK but couldn't find it here in England. That set up would make a good present for someone just getting into vinyl. The speakers could be upgraded later and an amplifier added. That turntable would work with a few upgrades. .......Over here in the UK Quo were very, very popular. I went to many of their concerts back in the day. They really had to be experienced live. Live at the Apollo Glasgow is brilliant. Alas Rick Parfitt died in 2016, though Quo have carried on.

@@Recordology We saw them in 20 19 with Rossi's lineup when they supported Lynyrd Skynyrd. They were promoting Backbone then and we bought the CD. They're playing Brighton in November. We've seen them here many times. Hmm may go.
13:28 Just wondering if there's more room for the cartridge to be adjusted under that cartridge handle since it goes over the top of the tone arm? It might be covering the slots. The picture of it on amazon has the cartridge mounted straight instead of at an angle too.
Looks a lot like the Crosley C6. Which I bought after watching your review.
23:10 That's a shock to the system to go from a warm white sandy beach to a cold white snow-covered lake back home. Brrrrrr. :)
I'm looking through reviews right now because With only an hour's play or so, the one I just bought for my son for Christmas is fluctuating quite noticeably as far as speed...Was very happy up until then. E-mailed to activate warranty (however thats supposed to work) and informed of this issue in the e-mail. Will see what they say/how they handle this issue. That will obviously determine my thoughts on this. Already not all that happy to be having this type of issue on day one, of my son trying to enjoy this gift. May update. This is 12/25/23. Edit: *spelling mistake
Does this have both a preamp and a full amp built in? That's the part about preamps that get me confused... can you use passive speakers on a turntable that has a built-in pre amp? Thanks
I always like your enthusiasm. Nevertheless, I think for the price you might expect (all or any one of): better cartridge, adjustable headshell, better wow & flutter rate, better speakers, auto-stop or auto return. The packaging, although well done, is very old school (i.e. polluting). The House of Marley has a much more sustainable approach overall, with a comparable pricing and better quality imo.
Oh the beach in January aaaaahhhhh.
Great video, nice record player, you spoke about giving more info on the AT3600L cartridge will this be in a upcoming video? The status quo were very popular here in the UK 🇬🇧. I didn't realise they little known on your side of the pond. Good to see you regards Peter 😀.

They are falsely known as a one hit wonder over here unfortunately 🤨
I bought it mine yesterday. Can I plug a tape deck on it so I can use the sound boxes?
That blank shape on the back where the power goes almost looks like a unused optical out ie Toslink
Hey, would you recommend this setup over a Audio-Technica AT-LP60 with Edifier R1280T speakers?
I noticed the absence of an anti-skate knob. Is the anti-skate “fixed” on this turntable?
Cool review, cool video. 😎👍
Hi there! Is there a video on how to calibrate a cartridge? About this especial desk? Any suggestion on how to do it?
Thanks for all these videos! Would we be able to play this record player through an Alexa?
Nice looking set up but I would prefer to play it thro an external amp so I was able to change the treble and bass to my own preference as this way they are factory pre-sets. As to the quo saw them live very loud, my ears whistled for 2 days 😀
Awesome intro. That beach looks nice and what classic movie has the women breaking the shellac record?
The sound is great, but for that price I would probably go for an Audio-Technica AT-LP60X.

Heck yes!
Can headphones be connected to the turntable?
Can u transmit from the vinyl player to wireless speakers via Bluetooth??
I guess you coild enhance the sound quality further with a bedder but fairly cheap cartridge, for ex. Audio Technicha AT 95 .
I was hoping that there would be room to close the dust cover over a 12" LP, but the video angle makes that unclear; it appears to be off by a millimeter or two (on the left side) to be able to do that. Unlike most listeners, I prefer to have the dust cover (or lid) closed when I'm playing the record, whether a 45 or an LP.
Will the RCA outputs still work on Line with the built-in preamp if I hook up and powered sub-woofer?
@Recordology
6 ай бұрын
I think it depends on the sub..... I run a dedicated sub out from my Fluance Ai41s via a dedicated single RCA.
Hey I’m thinking about ordering this would you have any tips for using vinyls and just getting into collecting?
Make’s that Victrola all in one look like a turkey.
Gonna say maybe there's a USB enabled version of this particular model? That space on the back looks like where the USB out port would go.

I noticed several companies on Amazon with the same body, so I’m just gonna assume that they’re all coming from the same factory but changed at the last minute to fit each client’s specifications.
Hello sir great video by the way I've been looking into this as my first record player with speakers. My parents have a massive record collection and I recently got some space in my apartment to put a record player. Would this still be a good choice? I know it's been 2 years maybe something better has come out that comes with speakers or maybe something that doesn't have speakers and it's built in? Price really isn't an issue because I would buy this and it's a comfortable price. But I don't mind going up a little bit more. There's something the same price as this that's better maybe a different version of this that would be sick
You should do project debut pro, & rega planner's

I have a Crosley C62, and yes it is identical in every way.
I enjoy your videos very much but please when using the at3600l cart… never put it below 3g. It requires 3,5g but you can get away with 3. What happens is too light and you kill the bass retrieval and make the highs really harsh. Also you will wear your records faster because of mistracking. Just some honest advice, hope u don’t mind

Check out our videos on balancing a tone arm. Essentially you set it so the tone arm floats, then set the dial itself to 0 the turn the weight up to the right weight which for this should be 3.5.
we know Status Quo in the US as Spinal Tap
Name of second song pls
20:49. Did you edit the video at this point where the needle lands on the record? It looks like the tone arm just drops very hard on the record at the end of the drop. Oh, I see, it’s an edit because the volume dial magically got turned up. That bt play of pictures of matchstick men is not the original. Nice turntable.
