She gets pretty mad about that sometimes. But I am righteous in filming that awful bathroom.

So funny when the fork fell in the sink and she cursed..told you not to put it in the video 😂 I miss my Yiayia when I watch these videos..the cooking at 6AM,yep..waking up to whatever she was cooking for the day,along with fresh baked bread

That looks soooooo good your mum is a great cook i love watching her she cracks me up, my mum use to put fried sliced potatoes at the bottom and breadcrumbs on top which was tasty. Can your mum cook more Greek food i miss my mums cooking and i want to learn how to cook Greek food thanks :-)

This msg is very old but I will like to add that the Etruscans and all of the old ancient tribes that lived in Italy before the Romans were thought of created the Italians. Italians are made up of all of the ancient tribes. Italian culture and ancient history was introduced by the Etruscans mainly.

Angelo. What part of Greece is your mom from? Showed her videos to my MIL who is TEMPORARILY living here. She only relates to Greek things or people. She asked if she was from Thessolanika? She claims certain regions do things different. Forgive me if my spelling is off. She has showed me many recipes. But not this one for Moussaka. I love this dish. Plan to try it this weekend. I should send you a video of my MIL! LOL. WE CAN COMPARE NOTES HAHA

Hey Angelo did mum salt the egg plants first too get rid of bitterness before she fried them as my next door nrb gave me eggplants from his garden and my friend said she will come up tomorrow and slice up everything for me so I can make for my son. Tomorrow im having xray on my lower back too see how its going its being over 3 months and im hanging to stop wearing my back brace sat it was 42 degrees here it was so hot I thought i would melt lol and brace makes me even hotter. Not necessarily. You can make this however you want, but I saw a vegetarian version that had potatoes in it.

I wish I had the money: I would buy your Mom several roasting pans that are NOT aluminum. The aluminum gets into the food when the food is cooked in aluminum. When cooking to give away, for instance at church or whatever, I can understand using the aluminum pans -- but even then, they should be lined with parchment paper in order to keep the aluminum out of the food. The aluminum hurries people to Alzheimer's. I would also buy her an apron. They have some beautiful aprons on Amazon that are all cotton and very good quality for $20. I would also get her some high quality SALT -- because that Morton's she is using has all the minerals stripped out of it. Non-iodized salt is good, but one needs to be sure to take kelp capsules or tablets daily to get plenty of iodine. Love your mom. She will not always be here!

I6tir is so freaked out again regarding your Mom saying Bechamel was (introduced .(invented by she says) the Greeks. There is a traditional Greek Bechamel so your Mom knows what she's saying. Love her and love Moussaka! Looks beautiful.. now I'm hungry . Couldn't add the French accent over the e in Bechamel. I'm not using my Mac.🤷🏼‍♀️

Great recipe. Your mum is such a koukla. Pls make a vegetarian moussaka. I want to try convert my mum and dad to vegetarianism with a good, veggie version. I've made one before..they didn't like it yet might, if they see your mum making one. They love her.
