I really love that comment about her finding your soul. That's a brilliant way of getting at what makes her special. I've seen many many grown gruff looking dudes reduced to blubbering wrecks when they hear her sing. Hands down, A.J.'s whole interpretation wins, even over Elton's who even uses backup voices when he did it live in 1973. A.J.'s "show" is just so much more powerful than his, I feel. She "says" the words in the songs she sings--such a rare quality as much of the music around (other than Angelina's) we protect ourselves by trying to NOT understand the words and be embarrassed by the words we do figure out "singer?" is saying!!!

I really don't know this song, but when she's singing this song, i fall in love with this song, and being one my favorite song... Whatever she's singing, she's nailed it.. Love you angelina

Musical tastes turn like a roulette wheel. The Beatles spawned imitators and innovators. The Bee Gees generated disco. Whitney Huston caused the female pop explosion. And the beat goes on... However, there is a magic in music every once in a while. Angelina is the magician. I can think of no other performer I have heard who can raise goosebumps on me when they sing! Her stage presence, her vocal coloring, her articulation, dynamics, all wrapped up in a package of winsome beauty are incredible. AGT is her diving board which will catapult her on to the world stage.

Angelina is so relaxed, have a look at her face, she has complete control over her voice and every sound she makes. She often starts off weak and lets you feel her emotional involvement in both the lyrics and the melody. The message comes as soft as velvet, but gradually it builds up without you noticing to a powerful crescendo that comes unexpectedly where she captures you with great strength outside the tone you imagine she can reach. Even up there, she has complete control and is able to get down to "her bare feet" using advanced leaps in a way few can do after her. The end of the songs is as silky as the beginnings. She puts air on the vocal cords before setting the tone, and this effect enhances her emotional empathy in the song. What did she do with you? She has managed to capture your attention 100% and she has conveyed a message and song to you in such a way that you have to play it over and over again. @@rotorhead-fy7nc Yes, i should have thought of that before complaining like i did, on a moment of misguided frustration. My only weak argument was the sadness that i imagined was invading her face. One day, Angelina will speak about her reaction. On a secong thought, i say that she is too angelic to be resentful.

If you can possibly get past those incredible vocals (hard as that may be), listen to the fantastic arrangement she did for that song. One note from the piano for each bar right through the entire first verse. Not a single chord until she hits the chorus. The whole thing is designed so that all you are left with is the voice. She's a musical genius of the highest order, and she knows exactly what she's doing when she steps those bare feet onto the floorboards. You're the third reactor I've seen so far that's played the song twice. I've never seen that before. Not once. Loved your reaction and commentary, it's exactly how a lot of us feel about it. So sad about your dog, I know how hard losing a dog (or any pet) can be, especially if you've had them around for as long as that. At that point they're long past being a pet; they become a friend, a companion, a never-ending source of love and acceptance of you for who you are, no holds barred. It's nice that you have a bust of him by your side to comfort you. I realize that it's a small comfort, but it's something. A like for you and your dog, as well as for your, as always, wonderful reaction.

You are so right: She is too good for this kind of show. She belongs in Carnegie Hall not being compared with Hans. It does feel very wrong and I feel sorry for her but it has opened up America to her.

Thank you for doing this reaction of Angelina Jordan . If you gonna listen to it again then hear closly to the lyrics and read between the lines. My reading between the lines made me think that she is saying goodbye to AGT Champions (the yellowbrick road» and her furture is beyond AGT Champions . And the lyrics before her high note was going straight to Simon . Think this means goodbye to AGT and her furture is beyond AGT and that she got out of AGT is that she gonna be worldwide known because of this show and that was all she wanted. She is the winner Even if she not WIN the show. She gonna be huge worldwide.

Absolutely stunning!! Goosebumps & tears all in 2 1/2 minutes, what more could you ask for? I can't wait to hear what Elton John has to say about the performance. It should be "thank you" because he is going to make some money in the next few months. I hope she puts this out as a single on her label.

I'm 56 and most of my musical choices have always been sort of the ' oldies ', and some of the modern stuff of many genre ( except rap..lol ) ...I will admit that after the mid 90's I have lost interests in most, if not all, ' new artists ' and what have you...But Angelina have awoken me, and have brought me back like no other.... I have lived thru some of the greatest musical acts in history during my lifetime...I'm glad i'm living in one once again via Angelina Jordan.. Great reaction my friend ..Cheers.. The Setting, the situation in general, the Show, everything brings new levels of meaning to the lyrics... SPECIALLY NOW listening to ANGELina's voice and arrangement of the song....it brings forth new understanding to the song. I trust Sir Elton John gets to listen to it and will praise it.

Nice analogy with her being able to show us our souls. I usually borrow my description from a line in Angelina's lyriks in *_What Is Life_* Her voice is like _"a warm embrace from someone safe"_

Why do i feel in my heart after watching closely Angelina s facial expressions that she was soooo sad, so disappointed, should i say so empty, so desillusioned! I did not want her to go to AGT, despite the benefits of a wide exposure. At first, she did not want to go either, didn t she? The fact that some of us are so affected demontrates once and for all that Angelina is not just another singer for her Angels, but she is part of our family. To me, she is my little tall sister. @@YozhikvTumane We live in a fallen world, my good friend. Angelina helps us, through her artistic work, to learn, little by little, how to be OF the world without being IN the world. I never, never saw in my life such a sweet, shy and pure individual being, deep, deep down her soul, such a rebel!

This is my first time seeing this. I had thought Bohemian Rhapsody was so amazing and a crowning achievement for Angelina. This was even better! How does she do this? It's like the world is being reinvented by her according to her own view of it. I'm used to thinking of her as an "old soul" and expect that she will accomplish things that no ordinary person of her age (whatever it is, at the time) could do. But, even that way of thinking about her has become outmoded. She transcends time. It's not just her singing or her voice (and the many qualities thereof). It's like she has revealed a new window into reality. We can only experience it through her. I'm no longer able to even imagine her limits. I have no idea where this is going but I will be hanging on for the ride of a lifetime.

Yellow brick road, another stamp in the passports to our hearts

Angelina's future is indeed beyond the yellow brick road. She never needed to win this show. At age fourteen she has the entire world at her feet.

In my humble opinion, Angelina Jordan is in a class of her own and she is heading for SUPER stardom with or without winning AGT Champions. Angelina is TOO GOOD and talented to even be on any TALENT show in the first place. At present, it seems that it will be either Angelina or Marcelito who wins this competition. Both Angelina and Marcelito have amazing talent, HOWEVER IMHO, Angelina is a PURE TALENT while Marcelito is a GREAT talent with a "GIMMICK" which is why Simon told him to more or less step his game up without relying on the GIMMICKS which have taken him this far. Since it will be the SUPER fans and not SIMON who are voting, I would advise Marcelito to KEEP DOING WHAT WORKS for him!!!! At the end of the day, I don't care who wins AGT Champions because whoever wins is worth the WIN!!!! In closing, go listen to Angelina Jordans Tribute to Whitney Houston singing, "I Have Nothing". ENJOY :)

This song choice surprised me. Similar in genre to the first one. Maybe she picked it or maybe Simon did. Many are speculating. Who knows? Hopefully, it was picked by her to say to them... Thank you for your reaction. Angelina is on her way to greatness. Many contestants take the easy paved road. Angelina takes the rough YELLOW BRICK ROAD and still finishes ahead regardless of the obstacles and the final results of a show like AGT . Most singers sing like parrots and imitate the original artists. Angelina is a canary that creates her own beautiful versions of these classic songs. When Bohemian Rhapsody was orphaned, it was placed in many foster homes until Angelina adopted it and made it her own. Now Goodbye Yellow Brick Road that resided in its birthplace ever since decided that it wants to be with younger generation so it came to reside with Angelina. Way to go young lady. We all love you.
