My veteran friend, this recording is from Angelina concert in Norway in July 2022. The concert was recorded at Fredriksten Fortress, a border fortress in Halden. The town of Halden is located about 120 km (75 mi) south of Oslo, 190 km (120 mi) north of Gothenburg, and 12 km (7.5 mi) east of the border crossing at Svinesund. . Fortunately, there is less than a two-hour flight to Oslo from Warsaw. Personally, Angelina as a great human being and her music came into my life when I needed it most. Her music has improved the quality of my life more than I can express. I now introduce her to as many people as I can, with the hope her music will do the same for others. In my opinion, is a talent that happens once in a hundred years, or maybe once in a lifetime (some say that it is a gift from God), but I do not know from which, let's thank everyone.

How on Earth can she keep doing this! Impossible happened a long time ago! This is just stupid crazy good! The "Angel" Angelina, is Astar!

You have to factor in 3 things in this performance. It was raining, it was pressure packed because it was for her home folks, and last but not least, she had to fight her hair the whole song! 🤔😳🤗

Awesome reaction and she had jet lag, been off flight only 9 hours! She performed this during sound check and had done it just a few minutes before this performance. For Television she was asked to do it again because of technical difficulties, which makes it more amazing, God Bless!

It does seem effortless but you know this was the second time she sang the song - the first time I think the windy conditions affected the recording and she was asked (or she asked) to sing it again immediately.... added to which I think she had just flown in from westcoast USA for her first concert since lockdown... she really is phenomenal.

Yes, the backing track from the official release was played in the first take and it did not align with Angelina’s timing live. She sang this twice in 11 minutes with less than 2 min. break between.

Incomparable is the precise description. Without an equal in quality or extent; matchless, in a class of her own. The time has come when Angelina cannot and should NOT be compared to others, as she is in a class of her own. Time now to compare others to HER, whether she is doing a cover or new material.

She has at least three versions of this song, and each has something different to offer. Whitney hit some amazing notes but when you consider Angelina likes to hover in the lower registers, these vocal gymnastics are really impressive

Notice the wind in the trees and Angelina adjusting her hair. She performed this song TWICE, because the wind affected the recording the first time.

Angelina takes on the greatest singers singing their greatest songs. And, yes, it looks effortless. In many cases I like Angelina’s version better, but she never disappoints. Jazz, pop, soul, blues, ballads. It seems impossible that one singer could give me my favorite versions of songs in so many different genres, but Angelina has been doing it for years.

I’m glad you re reacted to this song bc the way she holds the note on “close another door” in this version has more impact and I prefer it to the other versions where she clips it short. I’d forgotten about this difference until I heard it on this reaction.

This is known to be a vocally tiring song but Angelina was told there was a problem with the sound and after a very short break to fix it she sang the whole thing again not losing one bit of the emotions.

The fan video that has been made Private included both takes. The studio recording backing track was played the first time and Angelina’s timing did not align.

I had to laugh when you said this is the adult Angelina.. She was 16 when she performed this with an almost 10 year career.. 😄 Anazing

Chills, chills, chills. I've only seen this a hundred times but still get chills and tears. Whitney would have loved this girl so deeply. This was last summer and worth seeing over and over again. But yeah, the studio version done after this concert was awesome too but this one outside with her countrymen as the audience is off the charts good.

Angelina recorded this song as a tribute to Whitney at 13 (in the key of E). She also released a studio rendition in 2022 (in the key of C) like this one. Her 13 year old rendition was more "Whitney". and the 2022 renditions have more "Angelina".

Angelina was 15 or 16 in the performance. ❤

You did already react to another recent video of her singing this just 2 weeks ago. That said, great job.

somethings we pick up being angels are interviews with professionals she deals with: Republic A&R says she's one of a only a handful who do songs in one take; notice there's virtuously no difference listening to here live and in studio with all the post-recording magic possible; lastly she really is about as good on a simple iphone recording. As good as her voice is, i think her arrangements are just as impressive. On whitney, there's not much to re-arranging but on almost all others, there is aplenty. As per another commenter, by all means listen to her studio Million Miles (her original tribute to her grandpa) and her rendition at this summer's concert in which she rearranges her own song to be perhaps her best performance ever.

I'm subscribed to follow your journey with Angelina. I have seen most of what you are going through but you're doing a great job in your reactions. Even though you've reacted to the 'studio' version of this, she was younger, and this one is live. She's just stunning in all that she does and I've found I am watching a few of hers every day. By the way, when you get to her cover of 'Wicked Game' make sure you do what I think is a 'fan' version with her playing the piano. That song is one I've always liked and her version is, like usual, just stunning. It's just her playing through a song in her own room just as any other musician might do when practicing. She's just unreal.
