With this mashup I was trying to have two themes. One is Adele symbolically passing the torch to Angelina, so with Adele we just get the scenes of her singing and driving away. The other is having the meaning of lyrics like “I was just a child” and “go easy on me” be about Angelina’s career rather than Adele’s divorce. So that’s why the young Angelina scenes are in there. Let’s go easy on her! Also, let’s go easy on Adele! She is a great singer and songwriter and Angelina admires her..

An absolutely wonderful job with this Chris. Your interpretation is exactly what I think Angelina is saying to all of us. Her life has been filled with heartache the last few years with both her Grandfathers passing, and now with Mery being ill and having surgery. Go easy on her, she's still a child. What a joy it has been to see the barefoot wacky little girl with the messy hair singing like I've never heard before, growing up to the beautiful young lady she has become today, still singing like I've never heard before and still barefoot. Her captivating personality of brilliance, self-confidence, humbleness, empathy and being good is steady as a rock. Chris, this is not a mashup. This is a piece of art. The juxtaposition of Angelina and Adele at different phases of their careers is stunning and brilliant. I got the impression from this song also that this is autobiographical. That as a child, she didn't have time to choose. So go easy on her as she finds herself. We always talk about Angelina's ability to express emotion for adult events she has not experienced and how incredible that is. The fact here is that she has experienced it but in her own way in her own life. This masterpiece is magic.

Well. just have to say your choices for comparison aren't even close. I agree, Angelina is amazing but compering her to Whitney, Christina, Patsy or Karen is very silly and simplistic. All of those artists were the "greatest" in their own time, just like Aretha or Gladys Knight or Dianna Ross. Angelina is in a class by herself in our modern world and we can't wait to see what she will do next. But compering her to "legends" is just kind of silly! Really. Think about it for a moment and you will understand...

The beauty and significance of Angelina was her soulful singing, a control like few before her. I pray she does not fall into the trap of $$ and fame and lose her individuality. She was a breath of fresh air, a simple beauty, and a voice unequaled in the music field. I know she does not read these comments, but Ms Jordan we do not need any more divas. We need singers, like you. You are a beautiful girl without the need to follow in the footsteps of the divas.

Angelina gets better for every song and Chris you gets better for every video.

Listen to her original songs she has written. Million Miles, Love Don't Let Me Go and a few others. She won Norways Got Talent at just 7 years old. Also listen to her version of I Put A Spell On You which she did the arrangements for herself for this piece. You need to watch her 10 year story and how far she has come and how she got the name the Barefoot princess and her fans are known as Angels.

The sound of the film projector in the beginning, black&white, the short glimpse of Grandma Mery, with switched roles... not accidential, I suppose. And maybe the idea of Mery. She and Angelina seem to be really bonded. The relation of Angelina to Adeles song might be quite multiple. But it obviously really hit her, so she reacted as quickly, as she did, to make this cover, maybe, to get her own feelings released. By the way, for me this is one of Adeles best songs, with great expression. Both really fit together here.

Angelina Jordan is undoubtedly one of the best singers.

At the very beginning, I thought, now here are two young ladies that have a positive influence on the world. I then I saw Mery, the grandmother, and thought, make that three.

That girl can sing! Amazing! I hope to hear her for years to come.

That juxtaposition of them both flexing their hands when singing really made an impression on me. Not just the similar styles, but a sort of kinship. I can't explain, but it was very moving. Thank you for making this and sharing with us.

I believe that both Angelina and Adele really rose to the occasion on this song. It is perhaps the best performance that either has done with a brilliantly written song. Adele is really tapping into her personal experience and it shows. What Angelina is tapping into is a mystery, she seems to be able to empathize with other people and express feelings she has never personally experienced.

These voices send me to another place.

I was not a fan of Adele until I heard Angelina do some covers of her songs and now, I am a fan of AJ doing Adele covers. Angelina can cover anyone and make their songs an absolute dream work. As usual; AJ has taken this to an ethereal level she is without a doubt a genius. There is something that is so special about AJ and It is not just her wonderful voice; it is her total being that draws one in.

I admire and adore Angelina but that doesn't exclude Adele. N.B. Adele's video was shot in Quebec in a vineyard near Sutton, by the talented filmmaker and director Xavier Dolan.
