Age nine publishes book about meeting child in the Middle East becoming the youngest published author in Norwegian history. Based on diary entries at age six. You are in for an incredible journey. From Iowa, USA; 1. An important thing to remember about AJ is that she owns the rights to everything she sings and with aquired permissions for covers of other singers. 2. She refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway. 3. She began singing at 18 months and due to her grandmothers influence, she was drawn to and fell in love with jazz and blues music. 4. She has been arranging most, if not all of her music performances since she was 8 years old. 5. Currently in 2022 she still performs barefoot, sews her own clothes, (the cloth is designed by her grandmother) and she stands 6 feet tall at 15 yeats old! 6. We all hope to enjoy her performances for many years to come. 7. BTW I'm 80 and have been involved privately in music since age 7.

She does every artist better. Adelle especially, plus any of the old jazz masters, and on her good days with good acompaniment, any singer from any genre or era.

I have enjoyed and followed many singers but no one I repeat NO ONE has impacted me the way Angelina Jordan has. My world is better since she became part of my daily life. English is actually her third language after Norwegian and Farsi, also speaks and understands some Japanese and Swedish and I read somewhere she is learning German...just your average 15 year old. lol

Agree!! This used to be an Adele song, but in my opinion, Angelina owns it now. I never heard the song until Angelina sang it, and decided to go listen to the "original", but I didn't make it half way through. I found it rather flat.

Angelina is MUSIC!

Thanks for the reaction of Angelina. We are fortunate to be able to follow a megastar be created before you. And yes she has 1000 vocal voices that she is known for. She is now on the same record label as Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. She was signed 14 years old to Republc Records. They can only press the button when they want to start, but I think they still take it easy when she goes to school and is only 15 years old. But such a large record company certainly has future plans ready already.

Interesting. I had the same reaction to this song (and several others). I've chatted with others who have had the same experience. My conclusion is that I often hear the finer parts of AJ's vocals as I listen to a song a few times.

I have to agree. The more I listen to Angelina's songs, the more I like them. Sometimes the first reaction is shock. It takes time to appreciate all she does.

Well, what do you say about Ms. Jordan....aside from FABULOUS. She's absolutely ridiculously gifted. Thanks for this one again! Never tire of hearing her. Another very unique and mind boggling young female artist is Diana Ankudinova. A true Contralto, arguably the most unique in the world for sure. Tragic backstory, her mother was a very abusive alcoholic, abusive enough to leave her 3 year old daughter at a bus stop with a broken collar bone kind of abuse. Just read her ealry life story on Wikipedis for the details. Suffice to say she rose above all of that and is now being guided by Igot Krutoy who also guides another young Russian superstar that I know you are aware of...Dimash. The usual route to start with Diana is her cover of Wicked Game (Chris Issac), usually followed by Rechenka (Old Russian folksong) and Human (Rag'n'Boneman) Trust me on this, it's worth it. You'll be swamped by her followers as well.

This version was released about 3 and a half months ago. (Did you do this reaction back in April, or are you somehow working with outdated information?). Regardless, thanks for the reaction. She recently released an official music video for this song. She made some changes to the music and vocal arrangements that I believe made the song much better (I wouldn't have dreamed that was possible!).

No, we have not previously done a reaction to this video, we are embarrassed to say that we have only in the last few weeks discovered Angelina. We are still catching up and have a long way to go. I think we did mention the release date and as you say there was a music video, but we wanted to see Angelina sing it live, which is why we went with this version. You may not have been the first to describe her as a "vocal chameleon" (as has been pointed out by 15 or 78 of her fans), but that does not make it any less insightful and articulate. As for your 9/10 score, mine was about a 7 the first time I heard it and has climbed all the way up to 8. Oh but you need to take into account that she wrote it herself. Oh but I AM taking that into account. That's why the bar is so high. She is capable of much better and I'm waiting for those to come out before I start awarding her full marks. You blokes keep up the good work. I'm not recommending what you listen to next because you have already received 15 or 78 opinions on that as well.

I was a little deflated to find that other had jumped on my band wagon and run with the "Vocal Chameleon" even before I had though of it, I must try harder in the next one. Hummm, "Voice like an Angel" I bet that has not been used... We are still very new to Angelina and as most have said, we will be blown away and we are, it does not take too long to see past the little girl and take in the voice.. Our scores are a bit of fun and nice to see you adding your own and your reasoning too, very insightful. We usually get(It should have been a 10), we have no musical expertise, we are just thinking out aloud on hearing a song for the first time. Are we supposed to see the bulldog superimposed over the video as it’s playing (over Angelina)? No, we’ve heard her call a lot of things, but vocal chameleon is not one of them, but great description! Disappointed she didn’t get a “10” for her song, but the style is probably not in your wheelhouse. When you listen again, it will grow on you! Thanks, guys!
