Watch the game where they credited her for a rebound with 20 seconds left for having her shot blocked, she caught it and stepped out of bounds for a turnover. The ball never touched the backboard or the rim, just went off the opponent's hand and Reese caught it. That supposedly gave her her 10th "rebound."

To me, stat-padding to break a record is pretty similar to stat-padding to extend a record. If you have a historic streak such as Reese's with the double-double streak imho you would want to keep that streak alive for as long as possible to try to make it unbreakable. So if you're okay with stat-padding to break the record, you should probably be okay with stat-padding to keep it going. Not trying to excuse her play by any means. That's just the way I see it.

Man this happens everywhere even in soccer …..when u get a penalty and a teammate is going for the highest goal scorer you give that teammate to score

Its the unwritten rule in basketball,its disrespectful to shoot the ball if you know the other team is already lost in the die-ing seconds. In the NBA it will be confrontational. In WNBA paddings are given to add value to ones stats. PATHETIC SIGHT!!

The last 3 games she got her double double last minute with the other teams help no shade its on display for the world to see she trying to keep the talk and spot light on her. If Clark was doing the same thing during the Phoenix game she would have stayed in the game last seconds to grab the rebound for her first attempt at the Triple. Clark and Reese are not the same the media needs to stop pushing this narrative is boring now.
