ANGEL FACE - SHAKEN & STIRRED - possibly one of the best classic cocktails you haven't heard of.

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In this video, Ruairi makes a a forgotten classic "ANGEL FACE", one of Harry Craddock's lesser known cocktails.
Harry's original recipe had this as a shaken drink, so we'll compare that to a stirred version, as modern convention dictates.

All I’m thinking is finally a use for that apricot liqueur I bought 2 years ago and have used about 30 mls of!! Also the outtakes are always so funny even though it’s basically just Ruairi tripping over his words and laughing about it 😂

All your episodes are great. Thank you for them. Just, let me tell that we missed those series where you're making 5-6 cocktails based on a particular spirit. There is so much left, I think everyone would like to see: campari, fernet branca, some more cognac recipes, port or sherry, etc.

I’m always looking for more self stable cocktails, without juice or anything that expires quickly, and this looks like it’s gonna be added to the rotation for sure

I love the Tango cocktail from the savoy cocktail book, it is quite similar to this. Equal parts calvados and sloe gin, shaken (or stirred) and garnished with a lemon peel.

If you ever do another round of tequila/mezcal cocktails, I've got a southwest twist on the Penicillin. Vitamin M: 2oz Mezcal 3/4oz lime 1/2oz agave syrup 1/4oz jalapeno brine (from a jar of sliced jalapenos)

at last! There's someone else who thinks dehydrated lime is the most ridiculous thing to to put on a cocktail ( and to the folks who're buying the packs of 6 dried and wizened slices of citrus for $12 a pop, there's only one thing to say- Losers!)
