If your a casual that wants to see a slug fest between two basic guys with no defense go at it than yeah you might get bored watching a floyd fight. But if your a pure boxing fan that want to see the sweet science in action then you will appreciate what floyd can do in that ring and you wont get bored.

+IIG He got with an uppercut that made him reach out and hold on to Mayweather. He also looked like he was going to go in the 12th. Funny how he was on his bicycle but managed to hit you all those times. How is it I'm close enough to hit you but you can hit me? Is everyone that slow?

+J Johnson Wow now that's something to think about. Yo Floyd isn't a KO artist but he has power any fighter ex fighter understand that. If he had no power guys would walk thru him but they don't Holyfield said something similar. Berto did nothing Virgil was gettin in his @ss so what does he mean he feels good to be able to come and "put on" what does he mean not being knocked out? I don't understand this guy then he comes back and says he shoulda done a lil bit more...then he had the gall to say it was entertaining for the fans with a straight face. He should go into politics...

The first thing I learned as a kid in boxing was "keep your hands up" and STICK and MOVE. That's why he's 39 and can still fight up and coming top fighters. People forget Floyd Mayweather is an "old" boxer. Of course he's not the same Mayweather from 10 or 15 years ago, but he's smart and he adapts

+Wis Dom Berto is just talking out his ass. He knows he felt those body shots (something he failed to mention). He didn't mention how Floyd used his check hook as a lure to get him inside, then started working the body. People who don''t understand boxing don't look for body work. Floyd worked the hell out of Berto's body and it paid off in the latter rounds. He also staggered Berto towards the end of the fight, and he really could have stopped him in the last round, but he backed off of him and didn't engage further.

  • @Paul.Burrell

+Wis Dom Well his sharpness almost had Berto out of there in the 12th rd. He also had Berto wobbly a few times in the fight. If Floyd really applied more pressure it was clear to see he could stop Berto. Berto on the other hand, never had Floyd in anything close to danger.

So let me get this straight....Berto claims he knew EXACTLY what to expect, which punches Floyd would throw, and he STILL ate them all night long? How do you know someone's arsenal and STILL get hit with it repeatedly for 36 minutes? Berto was also stunned a few times and had to hold on for dear life. But Floyd wasn't powerful. If he wasn't powerful, why didn't he walk through his shots? Reporters aren't real anymore. We need more Howard Cosell's out there. Someone who will call a fighter out on his bullshit right then and there while the cameras are rolling.

  • @rotatingcats

***** Oh, I'm VERY well aware! I too, used to box and was a defensive fighter. I had a mean lead right and some good body work. But my focus was avoiding my opponent's punch. And you're absolutely right. Defensive fighters are extremely patient and wait for mistakes. Usually when fighting a very aggressive opponent, that aggression alone, exposes so many holes that makes them easy to hit, counter, and move away from.

  • @DiaAkin

Do you clench them when you hit the bag also? Sounds like you have a fear of the contact. Which usually comes from a lack of confidence. Maybe you should spar with someone of a lesser skill to help you get your confidence up so that you can learn to relax. You being tense and then ALSO getting your ass handed to you doesn't do much for your psyche. Not saying "step down in your training." But sparring with a lesser skilled opponent won't have you expecting an ass beating. So you'll be a little more relaxed. You'll get a good workout, and you'll also be able to try new things with less pressure on you. And besides, you'll be helping someone lesser skilled learn from you and hone their skills as well. Good luck.

Floyds my favorite fighter, and I reluctantly say that but Floyd was a true magician throughout his career. But around 2012-13 he lost a big step in his game. Still amazing considering his age and his sharpness. But he became so much more reliant on his clinch, rights, check hooks. He got more reliant on all that post-de-la-Hoya but he was still capable of a lot of punch variety 2007-2012. Before that Floyd was amazing at everything, destructive at 127-135. Sharp and a more efficient sniper with great game 2007-2012, but not quite as amazing pre-De-La-Hoya. 2013-2015 he remained sharp for HIS AGE but he got really reliant on crafty ways to beat out the clock and rounds. Maidana still got him to pull some great tricks out of his bag play unsafe so that was still nice.

Hey @fighthub, be the first to interview floyd about his injured hands! im pretty sure if both my hands have been severely injured over the years i wouldnt hit hard either. Before he returned for de la hoya floyd had all the power in the world just look back at the fights before that. Thats probably why he "retired" the first time anyway, but of course floyd doesnt want you to know if his hands are hurt though; its like having a gun with no bullets and no one will be scared.

Rather lose to something while going at it, then someone catching you and knocking you out while playing that running around the ring. Now that will define your career and already has. Everybody becomes a analyst after they fight Floyd. I keep asking the question, how can a man run from you all night in a ring that has ropes on all four sides. You either have you will on him or he has his on you. Apparently Mr. Mayweather knows how to escape danger. Just think how great a fighter like WBC Heavyweight Champ Dontay Wilder would be if he had some of Mayweather's defense. He got hit a whole lot last night by his opponent. A good defense will always beat a good offense.

Floyd is a great boxer with amazing skills and tremendous talent. I admire how he’s able to manipulate the boxing world, including the judges, to allow him to win fights with this particular boring and unimpressive style of landing punches with no intent to do any real damage. Floyd hardly ever commits to his punches. Any boxer can have superb defensive skills if they never commit with their punches and keep their opponents off balancing by dodging and moving. The disappointing reality in regards to Floyd fight style is that he enters into fights with the mindset to win by points and not by knockouts. He does enough to convince the fans and judges with those tip tap punches and shoulder roll to win fights. But look at the damage that Floyd does to his opponents after the fight and there’s none. Andre does not look like he’s been in a fight and if Floyd intent is to minimize damage then he should have choose another sport. The reason why fighters make these lucrative paychecks is because there suppose to be warriors who provide entertainment by knocking their foes on their ass. Boxing is a brutal sport. What made Mike Tyson such an icon in the sport was because he knocked opponents on their ass.

Still, regardless, thats why Mayweather is strategic about boxing. Boxing and winning isnt about just streetfighting because that takes much less skill. In a street fight, Id actually fight defensively simply because I wanna win if it ever comes to that. Everyone wants what Mayweather has, everyone wants to beat'im. Regardlessa how borin it may to you or anyone else, Floyd sells tickets n sells PPV at a level that no o e else in boxing is doin it...IIWII

so let me get this right.....1- berto knew exactly what floyd was going to do. 2- he tried to stop floyd from doing exactly what he knew he was going to do. 3- Floyd succeeded in doing exactly what he wanted to do. 4- Berto didn't stop floyd from doing a single thing floyd wanted to do. 5- berto lost. 6- now he dares curl his lip up to speak ill of floyd?????? OK then lmao.

Floyd doesn't have to do much. What would happen if the fighters would really press the issue, but they don't. They talk about his lack of power but there careful not to get too sloppy cause they know better. They talk that stuff to the media. You think these fighters don't really wanna be the one to beat Mayweather.

+Megadethfans Areajoke Lance was blood doping it's not steroids but does make you stronger and gives you stamina. I always thought Manny was blood doping opposed to using steroids. Now I think it was both just the way he beat and bloodied dudes bigger dudes and even would invite guys to hit him. After Floyd's allegations and the random testing not only has he not knocked anyone out. He hasn't beat up or bloodied anybody he's clearly not the same we fighter. Those are my reasons not because of anything anyone else said...

+mookeychase0907 blood doping is one of if not the most powerful enhancement. If manny was using anything it would of been a kind of steroid to make him grow. He had more wins and knock outs then Floyd. Manny never had a reputation for being boring unlike Floyd. During the fight Manny was clean and Floyd was hiding something. It should of been a no contest

Floyd has the best defense in the game and good counters and is also undefeated but they're boxers out there that can beat him , Errol Spence,gg, and Keith Thurman, maybe danny g and khan are the best right now and in there prime , Floyd doesn't want that he wants fights he knows he'll win, if he comes back and fights one of those guys to be 50-0 he is the best ever, I'll stick to ufc though those are real fighters

mayweather is the best at taming his opponents and thats why he will never loose. he is good at making you fight his style of fight and then embarrass the hell out you. his style of fight is that slow pace genius boxing and most brawlers like berto, maidana, pacquiao, canelo, shane mosley, are so uncomfortable fighting that style.

Berto @ :24 said "he got away with the win". Lol, u don't say something dumb like that when you get your behind handed to you. You say someone "got away with the win" when its a close fight. This was a total blowout! People hate Floyd so much that any time someone speaks the truth about his skills in the ring they want to debunk what's being said. Bottom line is this...hate, trash talk and try to belittle him all you want...u will still troll the vids and forums becuz ur obsessed with trying to be heard. Yall may as well hold up a sign that says..hey, hold on listen to me I have something to say when it's always the same ol attempts at trying to degrade a man who can care less about what u have to say about him. He's the richest athlete on the planet and the best boxer of this era. As for those who recognize that he's one of the greats, we really don't have to say anything. The results speak for themselves! "He was on his bicycle"...lol Berto...people say dumb stuff when u can't make a man fight ur fight!

This is the part I don't understand, is that Mayweather don't have any power, he didn't rush his ass in there. And the fact that he wasn't trying to throw any punches. It's sad when everyone that fights Mayweather does this weak shit.
