If your a casual that wants to see a slug fest between two basic guys with no defense go at it than yeah you might get bored watching a floyd fight. But if your a pure boxing fan that want to see the sweet science in action then you will appreciate what floyd can do in that ring and you wont get bored.

Exactly but I'm not a casual so I don't complain about not seeing a slug fest I can watch MMA for that
He looked like he was on his way down a couple of times. He clearly was affected by some of those blows. These interviewers never call out anybody on their shit.

+IIG He got with an uppercut that made him reach out and hold on to Mayweather. He also looked like he was going to go in the 12th. Funny how he was on his bicycle but managed to hit you all those times. How is it I'm close enough to hit you but you can hit me? Is everyone that slow?

+J Johnson Wow now that's something to think about. Yo Floyd isn't a KO artist but he has power any fighter ex fighter understand that. If he had no power guys would walk thru him but they don't Holyfield said something similar. Berto did nothing Virgil was gettin in his @ss so what does he mean he feels good to be able to come and "put on" what does he mean not being knocked out? I don't understand this guy then he comes back and says he shoulda done a lil bit more...then he had the gall to say it was entertaining for the fans with a straight face. He should go into politics...

The first thing I learned as a kid in boxing was "keep your hands up" and STICK and MOVE. That's why he's 39 and can still fight up and coming top fighters. People forget Floyd Mayweather is an "old" boxer. Of course he's not the same Mayweather from 10 or 15 years ago, but he's smart and he adapts

+Wis Dom Berto is just talking out his ass. He knows he felt those body shots (something he failed to mention). He didn't mention how Floyd used his check hook as a lure to get him inside, then started working the body. People who don''t understand boxing don't look for body work. Floyd worked the hell out of Berto's body and it paid off in the latter rounds. He also staggered Berto towards the end of the fight, and he really could have stopped him in the last round, but he backed off of him and didn't engage further.
@Paul.Burrell
8 жыл бұрын
+Wis Dom Well his sharpness almost had Berto out of there in the 12th rd. He also had Berto wobbly a few times in the fight. If Floyd really applied more pressure it was clear to see he could stop Berto. Berto on the other hand, never had Floyd in anything close to danger.
@hiddenking4840

+HeavyIzThaCrown fans seem to not notice anything that pertains to skill and technique, they only see power shots and knock outs nowadays. You almost have to watch the fight with the volume low, cause the crowd cheers for shots that's aren't even landing at times.

So let me get this straight....Berto claims he knew EXACTLY what to expect, which punches Floyd would throw, and he STILL ate them all night long? How do you know someone's arsenal and STILL get hit with it repeatedly for 36 minutes? Berto was also stunned a few times and had to hold on for dear life. But Floyd wasn't powerful. If he wasn't powerful, why didn't he walk through his shots? Reporters aren't real anymore. We need more Howard Cosell's out there. Someone who will call a fighter out on his bullshit right then and there while the cameras are rolling.

well the punches don't necessarily have to be strong they can be quick and surprising thats what can stun you enough of those you just get tired

***** Oh, I'm VERY well aware! I too, used to box and was a defensive fighter. I had a mean lead right and some good body work. But my focus was avoiding my opponent's punch. And you're absolutely right. Defensive fighters are extremely patient and wait for mistakes. Usually when fighting a very aggressive opponent, that aggression alone, exposes so many holes that makes them easy to hit, counter, and move away from.
@DiaAkin

Do you clench them when you hit the bag also? Sounds like you have a fear of the contact. Which usually comes from a lack of confidence. Maybe you should spar with someone of a lesser skill to help you get your confidence up so that you can learn to relax. You being tense and then ALSO getting your ass handed to you doesn't do much for your psyche. Not saying "step down in your training." But sparring with a lesser skilled opponent won't have you expecting an ass beating. So you'll be a little more relaxed. You'll get a good workout, and you'll also be able to try new things with less pressure on you. And besides, you'll be helping someone lesser skilled learn from you and hone their skills as well. Good luck.

Lol, he wobbled Berto like three times
Best of luck Andre. Hope this opens up doors for you. Good luck and get yourself some rematches and get some wins!
He rocked you Berto twice and in the last round really rocked you.Either he has some power or you have a weak chin.He actually was teeing off on that head

i LOVE how all of floyd foes talk about what they gon do before the fight SEEING AS HOW THEY WATCHED FILM BUT as soon as they get in the ring and he does what THEY KNEW he was gonna do theya ll cry that he didnt brawl,he moved his feet etc etc. THEY NEVER TALK ABOUT HOW THEY DIDNT DO WHAT THEY COULD HAVE DONE....

"I didnt know he was gonna be on his bicycle" Nigga you knew he was a defensive fighter i get tired of these offensive only fighters getting mad because someone isnt gonna stand and trade with them and thats why they lose you had 48 fights of him more importantly his last 15 fights to know he is hard to hit so dont give any half ass excuses. You came to fight he was faster and more ring savvy than you and it showed. be greatful for that man for giving you the gift of saying you fought floyd and ever had anywhere near 600K viewers for any fight you are apart of.
thank you KZread for the free highlights, so glad I didn't spend my chump change on this fight
this is a post fight interview? Berto looks as if it's a prefight
Humble dude. He's a winner as well
Floyds my favorite fighter, and I reluctantly say that but Floyd was a true magician throughout his career. But around 2012-13 he lost a big step in his game. Still amazing considering his age and his sharpness. But he became so much more reliant on his clinch, rights, check hooks. He got more reliant on all that post-de-la-Hoya but he was still capable of a lot of punch variety 2007-2012. Before that Floyd was amazing at everything, destructive at 127-135. Sharp and a more efficient sniper with great game 2007-2012, but not quite as amazing pre-De-La-Hoya. 2013-2015 he remained sharp for HIS AGE but he got really reliant on crafty ways to beat out the clock and rounds. Maidana still got him to pull some great tricks out of his bag play unsafe so that was still nice.

+ThyChrysanthemum I think it was because of his hand yo think of that left hook he served up to Ricky Hatton and Diego Corrales(rip Chico)
He caught u with some good shot too, he even made u wobble once and made ur knees buckle
Hey @fighthub, be the first to interview floyd about his injured hands! im pretty sure if both my hands have been severely injured over the years i wouldnt hit hard either. Before he returned for de la hoya floyd had all the power in the world just look back at the fights before that. Thats probably why he "retired" the first time anyway, but of course floyd doesnt want you to know if his hands are hurt though; its like having a gun with no bullets and no one will be scared.
i prefer sharpness than strenth tbh.
It's amazing how he said what he would do if he could fight him again. If you knew what he was doing why didn't you do something about it then. Why? You couldn't. Berto did what he could and it wasn't good enough, nothing would change in a rematch other than you getting stopped, which clearly was close to happening.
He said he knew about the jabs, check hooks and all the punches mayweather was going to throw, but still lost lol
Even his trainer was talking down on him.
straight saw the thumbnail and thought this was a pre-fight interview cause bertos face looks like he didn't step foot in yhe ring
Berto walked thru his power man when dudes are doing that he could try for one more 50th win but thats it I believe Floyd hands are done.
if he had a rematch he would do more running so he could keep up with him.
Who knew that boxers move, when you try to hit them?
Nobody was demanding this fight anymore than a Maidana rematch
Good interview.
Berto is experienced as well. He is just leagues about above him in terms of skill.
Mayweather just showed him his C - game to beat Berto . Mayweather didn’t have to use strength like he did vs cotto. Or his accuracy vs Canelo or Pac Man.
Andre "You Know" Berto
Andre, old, on-his-way-out Floyd played with your B-class self
andre is quite humble
Why would you put "what surprised him about Floyd" if ... nothing did.
just to put it out there , we don't care if floyd looses and it's not that we want him to loose. We want him not to worry about a damn L in it. That doesn't define a boxer. Rather lose to something while going at it, then someone catching you and knocking you out while playing that running around the ring. Now that will define your career and already has. Being known as the beat runner in the ring.
Feels like he doesnt care he lost
Floyd is not a power punches, he will tap you for points. He relies on winning by points rather than by Ko.
If you know Floyd is going to run then you create a game plan. I'm mad at Berto for copping out like this. What i saw from Floyd was that he wasn't afraid to stand in with Berto. He stood in and threw whatever punch his heart desired and Berto couldn't return the favor because Floyd was too fast for him.
Polk counties finest. Respect from Dundee Bruh.
I found myself watching Andre Berto interview way more than Mayweather because he speaks with honestly and not so much ignorance like Mayweather does; Mayweather kept saying "I was looking for the Knockout! even in the 12th" I haven't seen Mayweather look for a knock since Ortiz with the cheap shot
I just noticed something: boxers who fall short to Floyd seem to not really care that they fell short to Floyd after the fight is over!
@otismichael2583

I wonder why
Everybody becomes a analyst after they fight Floyd. I keep asking the question, how can a man run from you all night in a ring that has ropes on all four sides. You either have you will on him or he has his on you. Apparently Mr. Mayweather knows how to escape danger. Just think how great a fighter like WBC Heavyweight Champ Dontay Wilder would be if he had some of Mayweather's defense. He got hit a whole lot last night by his opponent. A good defense will always beat a good offense.
Floyd is a great boxer with amazing skills and tremendous talent. I admire how he’s able to manipulate the boxing world, including the judges, to allow him to win fights with this particular boring and unimpressive style of landing punches with no intent to do any real damage. Floyd hardly ever commits to his punches. Any boxer can have superb defensive skills if they never commit with their punches and keep their opponents off balancing by dodging and moving. The disappointing reality in regards to Floyd fight style is that he enters into fights with the mindset to win by points and not by knockouts. He does enough to convince the fans and judges with those tip tap punches and shoulder roll to win fights. But look at the damage that Floyd does to his opponents after the fight and there’s none. Andre does not look like he’s been in a fight and if Floyd intent is to minimize damage then he should have choose another sport. The reason why fighters make these lucrative paychecks is because there suppose to be warriors who provide entertainment by knocking their foes on their ass. Boxing is a brutal sport. What made Mike Tyson such an icon in the sport was because he knocked opponents on their ass.

You know he got brittle hands right so why in the hell would he be out there trying to brawl or knock somebody out all the time when he can easily break his hands
Good interview Berto
Berto doesn't look like hes been in a fight at all. Let alone in a fight with the self acclaimed 'best ever' LOL
ab eye kinda lump up lol. but Floyd did nothing ok.
I don't understand how I'd berth knew all this did he not win with this knowledge.
Funny i see boxers in UFC Dodge/Evade or as yall say "running" from punches too..Whats the difference?

***** I still would pay to see Mosley vs Marquez lol. Seems like Thurman vs Porter is next. Miadana is still sidelined. Garcia needs a name to fight.
Berto was not there with speed wise, and even if he was, that doesn’t say much because Floyd is past his prime speed wise.
Damn that's all he had to do to you berto. If you knew that you would've stopped him.
Berto you werent gonna do nothing to Mayweather. You were in there to lose
This somebody that's talking & clearly embarrassed ... I don't think he even understands what happened to him in the ring until he watched the footage, he didn't run from you, he countered you & your telegraphed hooks all night
He knew everything he was going to do, but lost? How does that make sense? Berto shut up, be happy he fought you and you went with a 4 million dollar pay check. Tired of all these fighters saying they know what mayweather is going to do, but can't beat him.. Stfu
Whats hilarious is the groupie in the background with the white outfit on tryna act like she dint know she in the camera. but she keep moving and posing tryna get noticed by the camera.LMAO!
Funny i see boxers in UFC Dodge/Evade or as yall say "running" from punches too..Whats the difference??
Still, regardless, thats why Mayweather is strategic about boxing. Boxing and winning isnt about just streetfighting because that takes much less skill. In a street fight, Id actually fight defensively simply because I wanna win if it ever comes to that. Everyone wants what Mayweather has, everyone wants to beat'im. Regardlessa how borin it may to you or anyone else, Floyd sells tickets n sells PPV at a level that no o e else in boxing is doin it...IIWII
Didn't watched but sound like daffy got beat up a lil and Berto none. Typical, boring as fight I'm sure.
So if you knew what to expect why not train towards it. You know he moves and what his punch selection is. Yet you got tagged with the same shit repeatedly.. I always like Berto but just take the L with no excuses
so let me get this right.....1- berto knew exactly what floyd was going to do. 2- he tried to stop floyd from doing exactly what he knew he was going to do. 3- Floyd succeeded in doing exactly what he wanted to do. 4- Berto didn't stop floyd from doing a single thing floyd wanted to do. 5- berto lost. 6- now he dares curl his lip up to speak ill of floyd?????? OK then lmao.
But Berto was hurt by Floyd, though......
Berto speaking as if the fight was close, yet alone we didn't even want floyd to fight you. be happy you was in the ring in the first place
I don't think mayweather was on his bicycle as much as berto says he was, floyd was kind of aggressive if you ask me
a fighter is not usto seeing another fighter run so much.. they prob just get bored by 5 round may run & hug TRASH
If you understand Boxing you will enjoy Floyds fights, hes a genius in the ring..
Floyd pitched a shutout
Fans got conned here ! This match up with Berto was never PPV value but free on Cable, not Berto fault but Floyd should have fought Thurman or Brook in order to justify a PPV product !!!!!!! ......paying fans got what they deserved .....a boring fight and helping to fighters get rich
Floyd doesn't have to do much. What would happen if the fighters would really press the issue, but they don't. They talk about his lack of power but there careful not to get too sloppy cause they know better. They talk that stuff to the media. You think these fighters don't really wanna be the one to beat Mayweather.
He was embarrassed by Floyd, Berto been getting beat up for the past five years lol!!
Not all peds make you strong. Lance Armstrong did the exact same thing as Floyd did and Lance wasn't a muscle head
@mookeychase0907

+Megadethfans Areajoke Lance was blood doping it's not steroids but does make you stronger and gives you stamina. I always thought Manny was blood doping opposed to using steroids. Now I think it was both just the way he beat and bloodied dudes bigger dudes and even would invite guys to hit him. After Floyd's allegations and the random testing not only has he not knocked anyone out. He hasn't beat up or bloodied anybody he's clearly not the same we fighter. Those are my reasons not because of anything anyone else said...
@JayT851
8 жыл бұрын
+mookeychase0907 blood doping is one of if not the most powerful enhancement. If manny was using anything it would of been a kind of steroid to make him grow. He had more wins and knock outs then Floyd. Manny never had a reputation for being boring unlike Floyd. During the fight Manny was clean and Floyd was hiding something. It should of been a no contest
hit and don't get hit , it's boring but that's boxing .
what the fuck berto he supposed to stand there and let you hit him come on bro thats boxing bro
berto you Ned to be smart not complain
Floyd has the best defense in the game and good counters and is also undefeated but they're boxers out there that can beat him , Errol Spence,gg, and Keith Thurman, maybe danny g and khan are the best right now and in there prime , Floyd doesn't want that he wants fights he knows he'll win, if he comes back and fights one of those guys to be 50-0 he is the best ever, I'll stick to ufc though those are real fighters
It's not that Floyd is running. Its call foot work . How far can floyd run in square circle ring. If floyd was running , then who the fuck was punching yo ass in yo face? Berto stop making excuses like everybody else and appreciate the payday that Floyd blessed you with.
mayweather is the best at taming his opponents and thats why he will never loose. he is good at making you fight his style of fight and then embarrass the hell out you. his style of fight is that slow pace genius boxing and most brawlers like berto, maidana, pacquiao, canelo, shane mosley, are so uncomfortable fighting that style.
Bla bla bla...you still lost and will loose in a rematch. "Bicycle"... You weren't good enough to beat a defensive genius...
He's thinking... I just lost to the best and didn't get hurt and get a Fat Cash out
I just don't understand all the hate on Pacquiao from Berto…Pacman brings the pressure just like he did…its just Floyd holds & runs & the judges (maybe paid off) gives him the W
He got a few on Mayweather alas Floyd is too nimble, too quick and ultimately, too clever for Berto. Landing a big one on Mayweather is like coming across the golden Fleece!
Berto @ :24 said "he got away with the win". Lol, u don't say something dumb like that when you get your behind handed to you. You say someone "got away with the win" when its a close fight. This was a total blowout! People hate Floyd so much that any time someone speaks the truth about his skills in the ring they want to debunk what's being said. Bottom line is this...hate, trash talk and try to belittle him all you want...u will still troll the vids and forums becuz ur obsessed with trying to be heard. Yall may as well hold up a sign that says..hey, hold on listen to me I have something to say when it's always the same ol attempts at trying to degrade a man who can care less about what u have to say about him. He's the richest athlete on the planet and the best boxer of this era. As for those who recognize that he's one of the greats, we really don't have to say anything. The results speak for themselves! "He was on his bicycle"...lol Berto...people say dumb stuff when u can't make a man fight ur fight!
He has the money and the nutritionist, what else he wants?
This is the part I don't understand, is that Mayweather don't have any power, he didn't rush his ass in there. And the fact that he wasn't trying to throw any punches. It's sad when everyone that fights Mayweather does this weak shit.
