I want to say he was the phone delivery guy. But regardless I agree, very gracious and selfless people, and also very evil and selfish people there as well. Luckily there are the good ones who know where the bad ones inhabit and can try to keep you clear from harm.

I love that you're real about sketchy caves and unpleasant smells and wasps and crabs and hurt feet and being the victim of crimes and everything, thank you for not totally sugarcoating the holidays and life in general ❤️

There is something in South America and areas in the Caribbean called Devil's Breath. It is so easy to disappear. When you are warned by the people that live there, listen. They do not benefit from telling you to be cautious, as fear will cut into their business. So always heed the warnings of the locals. It really makes you wonder what they have seen to be so wary? I think there is video of a KZreadr being told to smell the flowers of the Borrachero Tree.

@@KO-D00M it is a drug that makes you do anything someone says to you. the scary thing is you only have to smell it and bam your on it. But also you look completly fine on the outside. Vice made a really good documentary about it, i think its on youtube. I recommend it to everyone who wants to travel to venezuela, columbia and their neighbor countrys. Because it is so easy to become a victim of this especially in those places.

So scary. I remember traveling to Ochos Rio, Jamaica and we were told by locals to stay away from the falls so went zip lining instead. People got robbed there that day. Looked into Devils Breath and that mess is terrifying. NO THANK YOU. NOPE. NOT TODAY.

I just find myself saying “no no no” during this entire video. Driving alone. 🤦🏼‍♀️girl, please take locals warnings seriously about things, they know these things are dangerous, not just for us but anyone!

These places make their money from tourists, and they go out of their way for you because they don't want any bad reviews. They can not afford bad reviews. You probably don't even realize the amount of money that the airbnb guy most likely had to pay the cops out of packet to help find your phone, and money spent on the delivery. It's not like America. I hope you were kind enough to tip the person a large tip who drove your phone to you, not to mention a 5 star review for the airbnb that worked so hard to get your phone back. Wonderful footage, it makes me want to go there!

@Morningjane you only right on one thing you said and is the fact the some areas make money out tourism, but despite that they are very kind people and honest people who go out of their way to help others with out expecting anything in return but just to serve others. Me and my husband travel 3 times an a year from America with no problem at all people are kind and respectful just because some people are not honest don't mean everyone isn't. Now you have to understand the phone was at the other in of the island the fact that this people when out of the way with a very short time said a lot about the character of Dominican people. Well done Hannah and Mark thanks for the video . Now I have more places to explore the next time I go back.

Hannah this trip was so beautiful and very relaxing. The caves were really scary for me that’s a horror movie in the making. You and Matt make a really fun and cute couple and to be able to experience great vacation spots. My husband and I have traveled all over the world and have loved our travels even to the Dominican Republic but I’m pretty sure the way you two traveled and stayed at all the Airbnb’s was waaay better!!! Such a Bummer you had your phone stolen. But holy cow what wonderful people you had searching so diligently for it for you!! I CAN NOT BELIEVE how accommodating they were!!!! God Bless them all!! And the gentleman that you picked up your phone from was so worried about you!!! 🥰Honestly this situation could not have ended Any Better!!! It definitely looks like you and Matt had a fabulous time on this trip and I’m so happy for you!! I sure do miss those Carefree days of my youth, these are exactly the things that my husband and I used to do when we were young. Not that we’re old I’m only 53 and he’s 61 but we haven’t had the chance in the last several years to do that type of traveling we will again!!! It just has not worked out that way recently. They were blessed with good, kind, cautious people. Most people when they lose hundreds of dollars of filming equipment, a rental car, or their documents, they really don't get it back. It happened to my cousin and her husband. Some greedy people broke into their bedroom through a window and found their passports and a box of inexpensive jewellery but grabbed it. It took Cely and Edward nearly four months to get their new travel docs to get back home, while low on money. Then at the airport, they waited for their suitcases to come through the delivery belt. Only one suitcase appeared, Cely's was gone. They talked to lost and found Dept and management. After two months they were told, her items were gone. There was nothing at the other location or in the Airport where they landed. God was on Hannah's and Matt's tails by keeping them safe. ❤❤

I love watching and exploring with you Hannah, you make everything fun and exciting. I love that your hikes are unconventional, but the best things are always off the beaten path 🤍

I really love mat. Like I hope he sticks around forever. He’s so genuine and kind. He reminds me of my fiancé a lot. I wish you all the love
