@@MrBigNicholas it's better for them to make content they want to make/feel fulfilled making tbh. i believe burnie also made the point once when referencing items in the shop where everyone can say they want something, but once it's out that doesn't mean even half of those same people will engage with it. just be happy we get any content at all :)

Explains why I haven't watched the rt podcast in a long ass time
So nice of Gavin to wear a shirt with Gus on it so even though they're not on the RT Podcast anymore, this episode of Always Open features: Gus, Gavin, Barbara & Gus!
Gav's lil "What do you mean???" at Barb talking about leaving Austin 😭😭 I LOVE THEM
Gus is always a win in everything he does and his advice here for the submitted questions is incredibly insightful and helpful without any empty platitudes. Makes me wish he was on Always Open more often so that we could get his perspective on different social situations.
With tears I write this. This was my favorite show back in the day. It always brought a smile to my face and made me feel less alone during my high school years. Thank you Barb for being such a light and inspiration for our lives. I am so saddened to have missed so many of these episodes. You all will hold such a special place in my heart.
It's bittersweet to hear that you 3 don't see each other nearly as much as you used too in the 2010's. Time keeps going and things keep changing and I hate it 😂 but it's beautiful to see you pick up right where you left off like its been days, not months since seeing eachother. Im happy to see 3 og's are still doing good.
I miss this group. PLEASE start another podcast with you three, we all want it.
Me watching old RT podcasts reminiscing about the old days, this podcast drops.... instant click. Thank you for making this special episode!
Gavin was really good in this. In my personal opinion it felt like he held back a bit in his previous episode, but he gave some really nice insights on this one. Gus too! It's really fun hearing from them in another context to what we usually get.

i forgot how much i missed these guys together but man am i grateful for the three separate podcasts they all ended up branching out to
I've really missed this, please do more together!
I loved this!! I never thought I missed this 3 people so much!
For the second question, I find myself looking at friends and other people who are dating, married, have kids (not that that is a goal of mine) or own a home together. While here I am, 33, been single for a long time. But looking at it in a different way, I have a bed to sleep in, I have clothes to wear, I have a roof over my head, I have food in my refrigerator, I have a car to get around if I want to and I have a job that pays all my bills. Life is about perspective.
I'm a little late to comment on this video but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate seeing these three do another podcast together. I know times change and I want these three to be happy as they pursue new projects but I'll always be a viewer whenever they can get together and bring back the old RT pod spirit.
Enjoyed listening to this. Few topics that hit home for me. Nice to listen to people I'm so familiar with and feel like I'm listening to friends
God these shows were so amazing. I cannot stress how much just listening to y'all talk meant to me. Thank you for everything you did, do, and will do in the future. Always Open will always be in my heart.
I love the three of you together. This made my heart happy. Plz do an episode that's 12 business days long. ❤
2040 podcast with Burnie, get the gang back together
I haven’t watched RT in years but I missed these 3 so much🥹
What a treat. I loved this episode.
This episode was great. Miss having these three together on a podcast ❤
I wish Gus would say “and Gus” one more time 😢

Just wait for the RT Podcast episode in 2040
I feel so bad to watch this ep after the incident. :( But I will follow you guys anywhere x
27:39 Gavin saying "Doofus" like that made me spit out my coffee, idk why that was so funny to me
Guest "stars" aside, I'm so happy that Always Open is a regular thing again (I think). I'm a 26 year old guy and have watched every episode, and it's just such a real podcast with no gimmicks. I really enjoy hearing Barbara talk about anything all the way back nearly 8 years ago, and she really knows how to run a show. It's just perfect content.
So happy you all made this episode! glad to see the rooster teeth podcast team again
started listening to ANMA a few days ago because ive been rewatching old RT podcasts, imagine the surprise seeing this vid getting recommended on my suggested tab
Stumbled on this episode after rewatching a bit of the og rt pod and as someone who just moved back in with my parents as a 22(M) damn was that some good advice
aww, what a cute episode! barbara is such a great host, its really great seeing her get to explore creatively with this and other projects. couldn't be more thankful for all the hard work and talent put into this content and so many others. this was just a lot of fun to listen to/watch(:
Love yall , be a fan of roosterteeth since 2012!!! Very full circle podcast
Great answers to both questions. I am mid twenties and have been living on my own since 18 due to divorced parents and not having a home to go back to, and I'm honestly very envious of the 2nd person. It's rough out here right now.
lovely to see all of you together again. this helped a lot, 23 and at home with my mum, feeling a bit shitty when I work full time and stuff, but this made me realise it is okay, yknow? idk but thank you lol

Can I say how much I missed this dynamic since the RT Podcast
I am here for this trio
Gus kept making me laugh to the point where I was falling out of my chair. I miss this group, and I love them all.
man these three should start their own podcast! maybe with a fourth rotating guest? i’d listen for sure!
Holy snap. I just saw this title and I am so dang happy. ❤🎉
very nice to see this
Miss this group so much😭
I miss the old rt podcast. I miss when Burnie was on with you guys, too. Thank you for this. Cheers to the future!
Very curious about the idea of an audio drama that's like 'Frasier on acid'. Love a good audio drama and this seems like a departure from typical ones I listen to and I'm suuuuuper interested
I use MAC address white listing on my router, but I also keep a log of all the devices, so if I ever had to change my router, I can just setup from that list
Fantastic episode. These three need more screen time together!
Invasion season 1 was GREAT! You're crazy gus! There was one particular actor that was definitely not at the same caliber as some of the others but it was such a human and realistic response to THAT.

Plus those were some damn good child actors, considering their age and the performances they delivered.
I'm so fucking happy this podcast is back. 3 of my favorite people in the world
Love these three ❤
It's crazy how giving the audience what they want actually makes them happy
I haven't seen you three in a video at the same time since a long time. Bit bummed that I only have 49 minutes of video in front of me :D
Was just at a Fallout New Vegas event near Vegas and they had a Mathew Perry memorial. He voiced Benny in the game. RIP
I haven't even started and I love this already. I don't think I've ever enjoyed any other podcasters dynamic than these 3 together (+ Burnie)
Gavin saying it'd be interesting if age wasn't tracked, blew my mind. Like, nowadays, how old you are is so important. People ask you how old you are, all your IDs say it, it's on resumes, it's so everywhere. But if you didn't know someone's age and it wasn't even a thing people cared about much, you'd just judge by what they've done or are doing or planning to do. Interesting.
we love OG crew ❤
Despite all things RT that I dislike nowadays, this trio will always be a joy to listen to. Gus is still a pragmatic grump, Barb is still a giant nerd, and Gavin still baffles me with some of the things he says, but I kinda get what he's saying.
i miss this trio!
Your boy Colton Dunn did a podcast called Voyage to the Stars using the same principle as Gus' new podcast. It's legit great!
I'M SO HAPPY !!!!!
I know it hurts seeing him so old yet, Gavin looks great with his Gray hair

Barb gus and Gav............all we need now is pancakes 🥞
can we please make this a monthly thing with Gav and Gus!!
Is always open always about these mature/heavy topics? Cause god damn have I been missing out
Idk if Gus will read this lmao, but my great grandfather lived to 103 and was very sharp and healthy up until the end (he spent a lot of time in nature and relatively active) Where as my grandmother was 88 and had dementia and passed Her last couple of years weren’t great, but the point is that it depends on the individual, not the age m, that determines how you’ll be at 85
Wow ive been out of the loop for a while. I didnt even know that the RT pod didnt have Barb and Gav as staples anymore. Ill always treasure the years i spent listening to these three and Burnie.
I'm honestly jealous of people who still live with their parents. I'm also 26 and living on my own but I find myself wanting to move back in with my parents all the time. I moved out at 22 shortly after graduating from university, and I do think it was what I needed at the time because I felt like a burden and was terrified at the thought of being dependant on my parents forever (I was not a burden and my parents are happy to support me however I need), but it is such a struggle sometimes. I don't even want to think about how much money I could have saved or how much less I would have to work so I could do more of what I enjoy. There are a lot of benefits to my current living situation but what I wouldn't give to come home to dinner being made for me once in a while...

The concept of independence being equated to living alone/away from your childhood home is so American. As a filipino, it's very normal to stay with our family up until our 30s or even for life (my childhood home consisted of my great grandpa, my grandma, my parents and my sis and I), I know the same principle applies to Italians, Serbians, Russians ...etc, where there's an innate need/want to stick close to family even after moving out. It's only in America that I have heard this push to leave at 18 for no other reason aside from "independence". But you can be independent living in your childhood home. Observing my friends struggle through their 20s because they want to be "independent" or their parents kicked them out is so sad because living in a rundown apartment in which you have to pay 3/4 of your minimum wage paycheck every month, and eating stale pizza three weeks in a row doesn't sound like independence at all, they don't know they're victims of a capitalistic society.

I feel like if you have debt it makes you an adult. And if you are paying off that debt that makes you a responsible adult.
Hey finally a new episode of the RT Podcast. I haven't watched an RT video in months since they stopped posting a bunch of content to KZread. I watched a couple episode of the "RT Podcast" but since its not on KZread it might as well be dead to me. I like Andrew, and some of the other cast because they are my generation, so there is a bit of nostalgic discussion at times, but the format isn't the RT Podcast.

Watching this a month late and this is how I found out Matthew Perry passed away 😭
Star Trek TNG gave an explanation for why there are so many humanoids. Really ancient ancestors.
I'm going to miss rt 😢
I think living at home can be fine but I disagree with the fact of just not having a plan and “enjoying your time.” If someone is past 20 and living at home the person should have some kind of goal for the future like Gus mentioned. It could be little steps but have some kind of goal for the future and your future success. I am 36 now but had to live on my own since 17 due to circumstances but even to the age of 20 it was not sustainable for me so I ended up joining the military and since then I have never had any issues with affording housing. Obviously it’s not for everyone and I am not trying to build it up for everyone. It has its own challenges but they do start you off living in dormitories to force you to interact with others and ensure you have the financial knowledge to live either with roommates, a significant other, or on your own. Just my two cents!
Is this the official rooster teeth channel?
The final rt podcast ever :'(
Gavin talking about Matthew perry in reference to his age hit in a weird way. Saying imagine being the age he is now and having started friends 10 years earlier, even though he helped start a channel 10 years ago that some hold as dear as he does with friends.
22:32 Ubiquiti has a system backup on their routers. Very useful for that exact problem, especially for static ip and vlan configured networks

I’m so out of the loop, they don’t do the RT podcast together anymore?
25:53 alien creatures could be shaped any which way, but if humanity could reach space, then convergent evolution suggests that sentient alien life could easily be humanoid looking
Do they not drink anymore I know I haven’t been up to date with RT content but everytime I watch something I don’t see them drinking or they just drink water
2040 is gonna be a banger
I just dropped to my knees 😭😭😭😭
Lmfao I knew Gus couldn't go too long without having his personal talk show. 😂 Anyways glad to see this channel prospering. I cant get into Dogbark no matter how much I try
I used to watch a lot of RT content but it seems to me like they only really do just podcasts and livestreams. Can anyone confirm that or are they actually still making unique and original weird stuff?(not saying that they weren’t)
Something that will never sit right with me is how we dint find out that Barbara and Gavin where both leaving the RT podcast at the same time as Gus until the very beginning of the last podcast, it dint feel like a celebration which does a huge disservice to them as they are also such huge parts of that podcast, really wish they would’ve gotten a proper sendoff
