PAST THE HORIZON (hkipf.space) is an interactive online platform, built as a final showcase of the Photographer Incubator, a mentorship programme organised by the Hong Kong International Photo Festival to nurture local image makers who are seeking to further their artistic practice.
To facilitate image makers in expanding their perspectives on intermedia possibilities, Taiwanese singer-songwriter and sound artist Wang Yu-jun, local poet Lau Yee Ching, and multimedia artist Steve Hui were invited on board the programme to lead an experimental journey through sound, literature and image.
The collaboration culminated in an interactive online platform that is PAST THE HORIZON under the artistic guidance of Festival Curator Lau Ching Ping and sound artist Kung Chi Shing. In presenting the team’s work as materials for mixing and sharing on this site, we invite you, wherever you may be, to join us on this exchange across the terrains of photography, music and literature - explore, chance and contribute.
「地平線上」(hkipf.space) 是香港國際攝影節「新一代影像創作者育成計劃」最終章。計劃目的是栽培香港影像創作新血，打開一眾參與者的多元創作視野。
在「育成」過程中，香港跨媒體藝術家許敖山、詩人飲江、台灣創作歌手王榆鈞，與一眾影像創作者一起進行不同影像、聲音、與文字藝術的交流討論，作為藝術顧問的香港國際攝影節策展人劉清平及音樂創作人龔志成，從旁提供意見，媒合實驗。
平台取名「地平線上」，喻意跨界交流不分邊界，視野無限。現在，我們將過程中所催生的影像、聲音、與文字作品與公眾分享，並透過互動平台方式，邀請您們成為這場跨界創作實驗的共同創作者、貢獻者。
